Nite Fire: Chain Reaction is the second book in the Nite Fire series by C.L. Schneider. This series should be listened to in order because there was so much background information that the story will be better understood. Plus the first book was wonderful and you wouldn’t want to miss out. The story continues with Dahlia Nite and Alex Creed investigating a mysterious illness plaguing the city. This story is full of action and suspense and will leave you on the edge of your seat as they try to solve the mystery. The characters are very well developed and the story flows well. I highly recommend this book series and author, especially if you love paranormal.

This, like the first book, is narrated by Cassandra King. She really brings the characters to life. Her voice is easy on the ears, and I enjoyed this book from beginning to end.

This book was so wholesome mixed in with a little bit of spice added to this mix. It was an absolute breath of fresh air compared to other romance novels. Reading Chris’s and Chole’s love progress from being to friends to lovers made in inner me sigh and squee with glee. This was something I ate up in high school looking for that hopeful true love. Getting to see both points of view was a wonderful take. There were some others, but it mainly focused on these two. The flow of the story was really well done. It flowed through seamlessly without any kinks to it. For a debut novel Ms Stacy did a wonderful job. I look forward to reading more from her and will add her to my watchlist of authors!

Avenging Devil Part Two (Satan’s Devils MC San Diego) by Manda Mellett continues from where we left off in part one- so if you haven’t read the first part you really should put this one aside until you have. Trust me, you are going to want to read all the OMG, heart pounding, heart wrenching, edge of your seat details contained in book one, before finding out what happens next, here.
Part one ended on an intense cliffhanger that had me yelling at my Kindle and swearing at Manda Mellett (sorry Ms. Mellett)- but thankfully I didn’t have to wait too long to get my hands on part two, and let me tell you, it was worth every minute of the angst I went through at the end of part one. Hands down, one of the best books I’ve read this year!
Brilliant!

Journeys Through SpaceTime is a wonderful story of the MultiVerse. James Talisman does an excellent job of sharing the story of multiple creatures across time and space.

Each character hears a voice that encourages them to continue along the path they are on. Every character has been raised to focus on their inner self and has learned to use meditation as part of their daily lives. As the story for each individual continues, special teachers help the characters to redevelop skills from their childhood and expand their knowledge to aid them in their current journey.

The underlying plot of good vs evil helps the readers to understand how we all have a path to take in life. Some of our journeys are more influential on the outcome and survival of our respective civilizations but each journey is uniquely important.

Houses of Deception was a really good book! Each story I think keeps getting better and better. Madeline Dawkins has led (and continues to lead) a very interesting life and ways prevails against all odds. This is a thrilling crime and sleuth series that is definitely worth the time of reading it. This book was no less disappointing at all. I love how Hamilton is able to capture your attention from the first page and hold it until the very end. I definitely recommend this book and this series.

This was a good story with a fun character twist on Greek Gods. I think we as readers can sometimes understand and connect with characters more if they are familiar to us, most people know of Greek Gods; even if we don’t know all about them we can get a better feel for the characters by having a base knowledge set already.

I love how she gave each God an attitude and quirks while still following a general guideline about the God from myths. She truly made them her own.

The plot was fun and had its twists and turns. While I knew it would have a happy ending I liked that it didn’t take a predictable route to get there. I love the motorcycle twist as well! It was a nice read, I’m interested to see the author’s other books.

Read this one all the way through in one go. Very light hearted and entertaining. Carrie draws you in with an interesting take on modern Greek gods. Kat was really well written and will definitely have you giggling throughout. You’ve got all sorts of characters from Pan, to vampires, shifters, satyrs and more. All set in New Orleans during Mardi Gras.

First time reading this author and I loved it! I thought the world building was well written and felt like this book is setting up for an epic series!

I love a great fantasy book with a strong female character that has the influence of becoming great by a strong male character. I enjoyed how she picked a band of misfits and built a team out of the ones you didn’t necessarily see as being a good group together! All the characters were well rounded with just enough mystery to some of them that it kept you guessing as to what could be their story. While only a couple of characters are explained, others are left with an open ending to carry on the story!

All in all… a very quick, enjoyable read. Can’t wait to read more in this world!

I highly recommend this novel for you to read!! The author tackled the multiverse with multiple characters, who were pretty diverse in their personalities, with great skill! I truly enjoyed myself with this Science Fiction/Fantasy novel! Even though the author was well thought out and very enjoyable, I struggled a little with the back and forth reading of the multiverse groups. Then trying to remember what happened in the previous chapter/subsection when the change occurs to another point of view. I love the worlds he creates and his characters in these awesome universes! My favorites were the Isonian Empire and The United Commons of Eurotopia, as these particular universes caught my fancy! I love the Utopian feel of the United Commons of Eurotopia, and how the exploration into the new chapter unravels! I enjoy and yearn for a relationship like Rashella and Cysoro have!! The getaway scene has definitely made my list of romantic settings! With the Isonian Empire, it was the way the author created drama between this AMAZING POWERFUL Queen and her relatives! The drama this universe creates has been around for centuries but it never gets old watching it unfold! The other universes are good as well as the characters, but these are the groups I wanted to keep getting to!

I am not typically a sci-fi reader as I find it very difficult for me to get into that genre. I took a big leap in reading this one, but I like to challenge myself on new reads and new authors. This one took me on a rollercoaster ride between learning about all the different worlds within this multiverse. The characters were wonderfully developed as well as each scenario described beautifully that I could picture them in my head.
It all starts with the characters hearing a mysterious voice inside their own head and in turn each discovering their own journey to figure out what the voice was talking about. This book makes you fall in love with some characters while despising others. Overall as you dive deeper into the lives of the characters will good win all or will the multiverse succumb to evil. You must read to find out and this is one journey you’ll be glad you took!

Master Descallia is the first book in the Masters of the Consulate series by Sylvia Black. Sylvia is a new author to me, and I was hoping this paranormal tale would be enjoyable. But what I got was so much more. This dark Vampire romance story instantly drew me in and hooked in deep, so much so that I was suddenly lost to the beauty of the harsh world that Sylvia had created right from the start. It is fast paced, intense, full of suspense and certainly sizzling. You know it’s a good story when you see your husband standing there waving his arms at you because you are so lost in the story that you didn’t hear him the first two times. I wish it were a little longer.

Avenging Devil Part 2: Satan’s Devils MC San Diego by Manda Mellett. Ah Manda, Manda, Manda, girl you hit it each and every time. I always feel like I am repeating myself because everything I have said before holds true with each and every book. Yes, she is one of the best MC writers I have ever come across. Yes, she knows how to weave her tales drawing the reader in to her worlds with her wonderful narrative. Yes, she writes a fun ride filled with action and suspense. Yes, her characters are hot, alpha and protectors of those they love. Swoon!

Whelp, this second part of the story was just as intense as the first part. Thank God I didn’t have to wait long for it to come out. Just when you think that Manda has written everything MC to death, she continually surprises me and comes up with something that you do not expect and cannot help but get lost in. No spoilers from me. Nope.

OMG, how can I only give it 5 stars! If I could give it more I definitely would! When I read part 1 and was left hanging with that torturous cliff hanger waiting for part two, I have to admit I cursed Ms Mellett out for being a teasing little Mynx! LOL… I never thought I would survive the wait but oh WOW it was so worth it!!!! I was on the edge of my seat with every sentence waiting to see what was next.

Part 2 continues the action packed, emotional rollercoaster that is Niran and Saffies story. Taken by the Crazy Wolves they must do whatever it takes to survive. They know that true peace is only going to come once Duke is taken down for good.

I had mixed feelings the whole time I was reading this fantastic book because I wanted to rush forward to find out what was going to happen with these wonderful characters, The Satans Devils, who I now love so much and also not wanting the book to end…Bring on more Satans Devils I say!!

The Third Nanny by Michele PW was a wonderful psychological thriller. We begin with Janey who receives an apology package from the post filled with a shredded letter. Upon puzzling the pieces of this letter together, she discovers it is a letter from her sister, Kelly, who ran away 8 years prior. Through internet sleuthing, she discovers her sister is now Ashley and was a nanny in Redemption, Wisconsin. That is, until she disappeared! Janey decides to continue her investigation to find her sister by becoming a nanny to the same family. She soon realizes that there are secrets within the household.
The story was good, with a mix of present and past to bring the twist of the ending into play. Some sections of the book were longwinded and I would have liked the ending to be explained a bit more, but overall the end was not what I expected and left the me reflecting on what I read throughout the story to see the hints to the twist.

As a huge fun of everything Greek Mythology, I really enjoyed Carrie Pulkinen’s second book in the Gods of Thunder MC collection Sign Steal Deliver, a collection of books that are each by a different author. I’ve enjoyed reading books with a MC focus in the past, and Carrie Pulkinen reminded me why I enjoy them so much!

In a not-so-typical romance novel, Hermes finds himself being targeted by a common thief, whose reasons to found me sympathizing with her and being an overall fan of hers from the very beginning. Hermes was a delight to read about, his character funny and his tricks making the book an easy read. Kat was a calico cat shifter, which was interesting to read about, as I had never read about an ability like that.

I have never read a Greek Mythology book with a focus on Hermes, so it was a refreshing new point of view on Greek Gods to see things from his perspective. I have only read one Greek Mythology romance novel before as well, and in reading this book have found a new favorite subgenre in one of my favorite genres. I definitely plan to go back and read the first book in the collection, and plan to read the rest of the collection soon!

Avenging Devil Part 2: Satan’s Devils MC by Manda Mellett is the amazing follow up to the to first part of this story. This absolutely has to be read in order as it is a continuation of what takes place in part 1. As soon as I started reading this book I was instantly pulled back in. From the moment I finished book one I knew I had to read this part and it did not disappoint.
The story is dark and gritty and should not be read lightly for anyone with triggers. Niran and Saffie have such a difficult journey and at times I really wasn’t sure they were going to make it through. Yet again this author has delivered and outstanding book and I think these two have shot to the top as my favourites.

The characters such as Derek, Vivienne and Leonara are written to feel so much like your typical teen that you can feel what they are feeling. The whole plot of the challenge in the land of nightmares is intense and action packed. Highly recommend.

I loved this story!! This book is the continuation of Cadence and Fitz and picks up where book 1 ended. Years later… you find out how each of their stories played out after being apart since their one summer together 17 years ago. You learn what happened to Fitz and his journey of what his father had in store for him. Also learning what happened to Cadence, her parents and Camp Riley. Everything comes in full circle when Cadence and Fitz bump into each other again. There where secrets revealed and some bumps along the way….and a few jaw dropping moments for me. Will love prevail!? Listen and see….Please listen to book 1 first then definitely continue the story with this book 2. It is truly fantastic!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

WHEWWWWW.
First off – let me acknowledge if you are planning on reading this book – there are numerous situations that could end up as a trigger for some peoples. With that in mind – the book is still phenomenal. This second book to Avenging Devil is amazing. To start off – we get a third prospective thrown into the mix instead of just 2! And I loved it. Saffie’s character evolution throughout this second book is so much fun to watch her grow and change into the person she wants to be! Watching Niran go through, a terrible situation (which I’ll try not to spoil for you) and then still protect Saffie while doing it. Such a heartbreaking situation to watch unfold. Now – the third perspective we get is Grumblers and his is just the icing on the cake! We get to watch the old and cranky old man soften up for Niran, Saffie, and his old lady Mary. I cannot give this book enough props. And don’t think you’re getting too comfortable- because the MAJOR plot twist that’s thrown into the book had me putting my book down and walking away! I was SHOOK!! & At the end (if you’ve been keeping up with the series like I have!) Niran FINALLY gets a road name! And it suits him so much.

I have been impatiently waiting for ‘Avenging Devil Part 2’ since finishing part 1 and I was not disappointed by part 2 and the continuing story of Niran and Saffie. The book starts off where the first instalment ended so you really do need to read part one first as this is the conclusion of the story. I am a fan of the authors and of the Satan’s Devils MC series, but I did find this book and the previous one to be much darker than her others and they do include many triggers for some readers. I was gripped from page one and could not put the book down.

This is a real edge of your seat, suspenseful, gritty, drama filled page turner with added romance, MC style. Saffie is back with the Crazy Wolves MC, who she escaped from and things are worse than before for her. Niran is now also captured by them and as they are known white supremacists it does not bode well for him. Niran realises that Saffie’s past is much darker than he had expected and he is prepared to die if it means saving her. Unfortunately to help her he has to lie and become part of the enemy MC, but Saffie ends up believing these lies. Saffie believes Niran has betrayed her and now thinks that all bikers are scum and she can’t see a way out. If they do both survive it will be hard for Niran to convince Saffie that he’s on her side and it will be difficult for Saffie to trust him again.

As usual Manda Mellett brings the characters and the setting to life with her detailed and descriptive narrative which makes the reader feel totally immersed in the world of the Satan’s Devils MC. I loved Saffie and Niran from book one and was completely engaged with these characters again during this book. Due to the wonderful writing I really felt for Saffie after all she has been through and I could also feel Niran’s angst at having to watch Saffie get hurt and be unable to intervene. This novel took me on an exciting, emotional rollercoaster of a ride which had me hooked from page one and I definitely recommend reading ‘Avenging Devil’ Part 1 and 2.

Duke what a arse he really grinds my gears. Oh this gets your emtiomal so many times. I enjoyed the interactions between the gangs from the different chapters. The crazy wolves make me sick to my stomach.

This is the 6th book in the Madeline Dawkins Mystery Series, but the first that I have read. This book stood alone just great, but find myself wanting to go back and read the series from the beginning to get to know all the characters better.
Madeline runs a catering company and also runs a detective agency with her husband Mike. They are hit with two separate missing person cases at the same time. Madeline feels obligated to take the first as the person missing is Dylan, the son of the man who died saving Madeline. They soon find out it isn’t just Dylan but also his girlfriend. Disappearing without a trace, they start talking to everyone linked to them to find out exactly when the last time they were seen or heard from.
The second case involves a woman from a catering event that Madeline had hosted the night before. The intrigue kept me turning the pages. Kidnapping and a ransom note. Mike and Madeline are in over their heads, but the local police also have their hands full and can’t get there in a reasonable amount of time. Can they figure out what to do or where to look?
I enjoyed Madeline and Mike, how well they worked together. Madeline gets very personally involved and feels genuine. Mike encourages her to go with her gut feelings. I had a great time working the case with them, looking forward to reading more books in this series.

Wow. I was waiting on the edge of my seat for this book and I wasn’t disappointed. I have loved all of the Satan Devil books but this one was out of this world and a great conclusion. This is a book full of suspense and danger. The emotion between all the characters are real that you feel every one. From the despair and hate, to worry and fear.

We start off where we finish the first book with Saffie and Niran in danger as the Crazy Wolves get closer. Saffie has been through a lot escaping her abusive husband and losing her child. Niran  and the Devils are trying to help her move on however that all stops when the Crazy Wolves catch up to them. They kidnap Saffie back to her life as a slave to her husband.
Niran knows that to stand any chance of saving Saffie he needs to stay alive so he acts as if he wants to become a member of the Crazy Wolves. However there are things in his way. Mainly his skin colour.

When the Satan Devils realise Niran  and Saffie are missing it doesn’t take them long to figure out what has happened. Now with the help of the brother chapters they go to war to rescue Niran and Saffie and take down the Crazy Wolves once and for all.

Can the Satan’s succeed in their mission?can Niran stay alive while being part of the Crazy Wolves? Will the relationship between Niran and Saffie be able to be repaired or will Niran’s deception even to save them both cause Saffie more pain and make her unable to trust him?

This book really gripped me from the get-go, I mean that opening, phew, it was something special and chilling. Grabbing you, quite literally by the throat and dragging you kicking and screaming into the narrative. Maynard really writes terror in a brutal way that sends a chill up your back and makes you feel as though you are being scrutinized, in spite of being tucked up happily in your bed.
This is an unrelenting thriller, so as soon as you pick it up, be prepared because it won’t stop or slow down. I really recommend this read, its haunting, and nail-biting, and everything you could want from a thriller really. I find Maynard’s writing is trilling and refreshing, breathing life into a genre that all too often relies on cliches and gimmicks for good scares. I thoroughly recommend giving this a read, you will not be disappointed.

I’ve read several of the novels in this series. Just like in previous ones I’ve read, Lake of Flowers (Lord Hani #5) is full of intrigue and mystery, both personal and political. This is a really fascinating period in Ancient Egyptian history, as the records were destroyed by later kings, so I loved being able to read a fictionalised version of what may have happened. The writing is so detailed and the historical aspects were so interesting. What really makes the novel interesting is Hani’s character development, as his ideals and his loyalty are tested. A cosy mystery read.
