I have read a few of this author’s books and once again I was not let down. I really like how the author brings a light hearted flow to the story. I was just not wanting to put this book down.
I love her paranormal settings for the books and unique style. The characters really come right off of the pages and right into one’s imagination. Houses of deception is the 6th book in the Madeline Dawkins series by Cynthia Hamilton, and this series never disappoints. From the very beginning of the book when Maddie and Mike attend a very swanky party of one of their clients, you know it is going to be juicy. Followed up by the reemergence of their old reluctant tutor to investigate the disappearance of his nephew, you know things are never as straight forward as they first seem. This book is really enjoyable, has lots of twists in the tail that are totally unexpected and overall is a really good read. I have read all of the books in this series so far and just enjoy them more and more each time.

I adore Christmas romances, and this is no exception. It’s so flipping lovely and warmed my heart. Again, Dawson’s writing is amazing, and the characters are likable having a realistic feel to them. Holly is a physical therapist who is careful with everything in her life especially since a tragic accident took the life of her father. Blake is an interesting character, a former athlete who lost his leg to degenerative bone disease, he has refused to let that stop him and tries ever harder to get back to his former athletic glory. But an accident has him all tangled up with Holly he struggles to get away from her and her honesty. Honestly, I loved this, it warmed my heart. A story about giving love another chance and showing that sometimes taking risks is worth it, even if the risk is opening your heart and letting someone love you. Really recommend.
Like all the other books in this series, I thoroughly enjoyed this read. Simons does not disappoint, and I honestly feel like her writing has only improved with each installment. We are dropped back with Cam and Freyja enjoying a happy life back on Lewis, finding peace and happiness with the isolated community. But this peace is not to last when news from old acquaintances, sends them from the confines of Lewis and in search of the truth as to why they were chosen and the secrets behind the community they call home. Such an awesome series, highly recommend this.

Houses Of Deception is book number six in the Madeline Dawkins series by Cynthia Hamilton. This could be read as a stand-alone, but I would recommend that this series is read in order. There is so much backstory and history that it is much more enjoyable being read as part of a series.
Madeline and Mike and back solving mysteries, this time they have some missing people to track down and, as you can imagine, it’s never quite as simple as it sounds. I feel as though I know these characters so well now, I really enjoy catching up with them. I love how much thought the author puts into these cases, I’m never quite sure how they will turn out, she really gets you thinking and keeps you on your toes. If you’re new to the Madeline Dawkins series, it’s a series of books that is well worth investing time into.

This was a really good story. It was well written and the characters were made really realistic. The author does a great job of described PTSD in our hero Nash and how that and his past experiences impact his life. Nash is a Marine veteran. He lost his eye and wears an eye patch which makes him self conscious and worried about other impressions of him. When he meet Betsy the attraction is instant between them but both are unsure and have issues they need to deal with. Nash and his PTSD and anger issues and Betsy and her family problems. Can they work their way through their problems and get together or will their issues keep pushing them apart.

Niran and Saffie are back in the exciting conclusion of Avenging Devils. I have read several of these books by Manda Mellet, and I have to say that I think this two-part book is one of the best ones yet.
Niran has gone after Saffie to hopefully stop her from leaving San Diego. In Saffie’s apartment, they wait for Kid to bring by some food. Only when he arrives, Saffie’s greatest fear comes pushing through the door with him. Duke, her abusive husband and the VP of the Crazy Wolves MC, has found Saffie and plans to bring her back. Niran must think fast, so he can protect her.
Niran convinces Duke that he wants to leave Satan’s Devils and is looking for a club like the Crazy Wolves. So Duke and his club members, take Saffie and Niran back to their clubhouse.
This is only the beginning of the torturous nightmare that Saffie and Niran have to face. Can they survive being at the Crazy Wolves MC? Will Satan’s Devils ride to his aid and stop Duke before he can take Saffie’s life? And what will this mean for Saffie and Niran when the past is behind them?

I thoroughly enjoyed this quirky, funny paranormal romantic comedy inspired by the Greek Gods. As usual Pulkinen delivers an original romance with great characters and a unique storyline in a wonderful setting. She also provides the readers with plenty of romance, some steamy scenes and laugh out loud moments, with some drama and twists along the way to keep you hooked and happily turning the pages. Hermes the God of thieves meets and falls in love with Calico shifter and ex thief Kat Gataki whilst he’s on holiday, having a trip to Mardi Gras. Kat has a plan to steal the key to the underworld so she can apologise to her deceased sister, but this means stealing the key from Hermes. “No one steals from the god of thieves” at least that’s what Hermes thought before meeting Kat who stole not only the key but also his heart. Hermes then has only twelve hours to find the love of his life or they will both be spending eternity in the underworld. This novel had me hooked from start to finish and I loved it, it was an exciting and engaging read.

I don’t normally read books about mythology – romance or not. This book, however, was fantastic. I was pulled in from the first page and was thoroughly invested all the way to the end. I didn’t want the story to be over! Hermes, the retired God of speed and thieves, met his match when he suggested using a courier service rather than be the messenger boy of the gods while on vacation. Kat is a feline shifter with a ton of grief and pain sitting on her shoulders. Her father is a burglar and her mother and sister are no longer in the picture. This book had wonderful interactions with the Gods and a love story that made my heart melt. I’m a sucker for a happy ending, especially when there’s chaos thrown in the mix. Carrie Pulkinen did a wonderful job building up these characters and telling this story. I loved the storyline, the happy ever after, and the growing hope inside of me that there is more to tell as time goes on. I look forward to reading everything else this author has to offer.
The first thing that I’m going to say about Avenging Devil Part 2 by Manda Mellett is that it is worth more than 5 stars. I’ve been a huge fan of her writing for a couple of years now and with every subsequent book she blows me even further away. Having left us this a cliffhanger in Part One I couldn’t wait to devour part two. Part two was absolutely fantastic. The drama of the very first chapter was something else. I lost count of how many times my heart was in my mouth wondering what was going to happen next. The drama flowed from that very first chapter and did not stop until the book ended. Niran and Saffie’s story is just heartbreaking and you feel that nothing will ever go right for them. This is all down to the skill of Manda Mellett’s fantastic writing skills and the amazing characters that she continues to produce. I really am in awe of how she continues to bring us these fantastic MC men and their equally fantastic women. I also loved that we continued to get Grumbler and Mary’s story. Another couple who you can’t help but love and want everything to work out well for. Manda Mellett can do no wrong in my eyes and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for the Satan’s Devils MC next.

The Forsaken: Wraith by Martin Ferguson is a book that draws you into the fantasy world written in its pages. This is the first book of the Hidden Realms of Centuros series and I cannot wait for the next book.

Sign Steal Deliver (Gods of Thunder MC #2) by Carrie Pulkinen is such a fantastic Paranormal Romantic Comedy- with Greek Gods, shifters, magic, fantasy, humour, witches, chemistry, romance, danger, drama, and plenty of fun. I love everything Carrie Pulkinen writes, so when I saw this pop up in my notifications I squealed, grabbed myself a copy and jumped right in. And let me say, Ms. Pulkinen didn’t disappoint!! I was swept up in a really great, fun, and intriguing adventure. What do you get when you mix Greek Gods with MC, add a minxy shifter, stealing from the god of thieves magic, the Underworld, danger, spice, high stakes, and a ticking clock? Well, this book really is worth your time and money to find out. I loved Kat and Hermes- I was invested in their story right from the beginning. Carrie Pulkinen is such a master of paranormal romance. I really can’t wait to see what she does next!

Carrie Pulkinen is such a brilliant writer! I stumbled across her series New Orleans Nocturnes that completely sucked me in. Soon after I got lost in the Haunted Ever After series and found Shift Creek. So when I found this book, I just had to sink my teeth into it. Sign Steal Deliver isn’t my usual read but I’m a sucker for Greek mythology and anything by Carrie Pulkinen hasn’t disappointed me and still hasn’t. The story follows two characters named Kat, a cat shifter and Hermes, the God of Thieves and their entanglement. Their story is filled with adventure, lust, comedy and mystery. Definitely a fantastic read and highly recommend!

I picked this story solemnly on the title and I’m so glad that I did. Within the first paragraph I fell in love with Bailey, the soft spoken and unsure 25 year old. He’s someone anyone that is figuring out their sexuality can relate too. As the story grows, we meet Sam, the owner of a sex shop. He’s more than what he seems. Sam is easy to grow attached too as well. This story is more than what it seems. It is filled with self discoveries. Perfectly written banter between friends, just the right amount of real, raw emotions and lust turning to love. I highly recommend this!

I really loves this story. I have loved all the books by this author but this one was my favourite. I love the twist of Greek gods and shapeshifters. As well as the romance there is also an element of danger and suspense which makes this book so enjoyable to read.
Hermes is the god of theives among other things. He has lived a long life but never felt a connection with anyone. That is until Kat comes along.
Kat is a shapeshifter and is a cat burglar. She meets Hermes when she’s sent to do a job of delivering a message to the underworld. What she does expect is to meet Hermes and fall for him. However no matter how much she likes him, Hermes is her key to getting into the underworld to see her sister. Can she put her feelings to the side and steal from Hermes?
When Hermes finds his key stolen, Zeus and Hades give him 12 hours to recover the key else they are going after Kat themselves.
Can Hermes forgive Kats deception and theft? Can he get to her and protect her from Zeus and Hades? And is Kat’s feelings for him real or just a way to get to his Key?
Gods of Olympus, now Seattle, with an MC club, is such a fantastic idea. Hermes is the God of speed and thieves. His ego is pretty large. Kathryn of NOG enters his life to deliver a package to the underworld for Hades. Trouble with a capital T starts on page 1 and just continues until the end of the book. Kat is a calico shifter and a thief herself. She is on the path to redemption but the knots in her lifeline are numerous according to The Fates. Hermes feels she is the one. Pan, the nemesis, is such a schmuck. He gets what’s coming to him and it will surprise you. Kat and Hermes find that they are both strong individual but together they are much stronger and make a great team. Wonderful humor scattered throughout, innuendos that will roll your eyes, and lots of fun adventure. Highly recommend.
This is the second book in the Hartwood Holiday series and I am in LOVE!! I love the characters. I love the stories. I love the twists and turns of romance. We meet our main characters, Liam and Rose, childhood friends with a broken friendship. And then poof, they meet again after many years. Not to give anything away, but they fall again into their new relationship with a little bit of grace and a lot of heat!!! Can not wait to read more from this author!!! I’m always excited when I find a new book series to read and this one did not fail to keep me begging for more!!!

Rhys and Rebecca are the mains in this sorry. I enjoyed this historcal romance but alas it an extremely slow start. I didn’t feel a connect to the characters so I knew I was reading. Upon some even some years later Rebecca finds her husband with another woman about to be married. The MC annoyed the living hell out of me.

Snowflakes and Holly by Jae Dawson is A Hartwood Holiday Romance.
Holly is cautious and plays it safe though she never used to be like that. Losing her father has changed her tremendously and five years later she’s still stuck. Blake was the type to risk it all until his career ended. All he wants is to be back on top like before everything crashed around him. When these two, quite literally, run into each other, Blake’s life changes yet again. All Holly wants is to see him recover, maybe more than anyone else. Will these two be able to overcome their fears together?
I really enjoyed this book! Holly is such a relatable character. You could almost feel her heartbreak and grief come off the pages. Holly was so well written. Holly and Blake together were such a sweet couple. I definitely recommend!
Snowflakes and Holly (Hartwood Holiday Romance) by Jae Dawson

I was so happy to return to Hartwood Falls. I have fallen in love with this little town since reading the first in this series. I was looking forward to the Christmas theme and even asked for it in my last review. I think the town is what I love most about this series, that and the other characters that show up in each story. Maybe it’s that I need more of the relationships forming to connect these characters as couples. I love each one of them and their backstories and their personalities but for some reason I’m having a problem with the connections formed. It’s hard to explain. In saying that, it does not take away from enjoying these books. I think this one might be my favorite. I did laugh out loud quite a few times and loved the setting that was described in this story. I truly want to go to Hartwood Falls, and would love to be a part of this small town. This author has a super smooth writing style which I enjoy and I’ve read each of her books in this series in one sitting. So they are absolutely hard to put down. Each one could be read as a standalone with no problem, but they are all worth reading.
Great story and definitely looking forward to the next!
Avenging Devil Part 2 (Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #4) by Manda Mellett

WOW, this was the most intense story told over two books that I’ve read in a long time. It was suspenseful, hard to read at times, sad, fun, loving, surprising, action packed and all out awesome! I love every book in every series of the Satan’s Devils, but these last two were different in a way that had so much going on and I was fully invested in every aspect. From the clubs coming together, from never being sure about UTAH and now LOVING them, the strong family aspect which for me was strengthened in this story and absolutely not being able to put the books down. It’s still hard to call any of them my favorites because every word of every book of every series is part of one of the best MC stories ever! This one had me closing my eyes and trying to unread some of what was happening because it was that intense. I love that this author isn’t afraid to show the intensity of what is happening in the scenes even if they are hard to read. I can not find a way to sum up this story, I just finished it so my thoughts are everywhere and Niran and Saffie? They will forever be one of my favorite couples ever. I truly already want to go back and read these 2 books again. I can not recommend high enough that the Satan’s Devils stories that started way way back in Turning Wheels which introduced us to the Mother Chapter be read in order. There are so many reasons for this. These last 2 books which are part of the San Diego chapter made me literally fall in love with another chapter that I had been struggling with from its own series. These characters overlap, popping up in just about every book even if only mentioned. It’s a lot, and this author somehow someway keeps it all straight and in turn helps the reader keep it all straight. It’s amazing!
I will read every one of these someday, somehow back to back all over again!

Pet Me is book one in the Toy Shoppe series by Angelique Jurd. This author is new to me and I was really keen to give this book a try. The M/M genre is a favourite of mine and just reading the blurb of this story got me inquisitive.
Pet Me was an intriguing tale, with complex characters and an engaging storyline. The way the lives of Bailey and Sam evolved was both irresistible and entertaining. The attraction was magnetic and the colourful cast of friends made a highly enthralling read. The trials and tribulations was impossible to ignore and the way the story was put into words was clever and well expressed. Not a long one but a good one. A thrilling read. 4 stars.

Madeline and Mike are back in the thick if it again not only having two missing persons case but trying to run a catering business, the plot thickens.
Madeline and Like are now married and still involved in the PI game but when an old rival and mentor asks doe their help how can they refuse. Russell’s nephew has gone missing and he begs the couple to help him find him, so the couple agree and start the investigation.
Although when they get a call from a friend also asking them to fine his missing wife, MDPI is on the case and uncovers more than the bargained for. With the usual twists and turns can Madeline and Mike find Dylan and his girlfriend aswell as Tara Richardson in time.
I have read all this series and this book does not disappoint, it it full of the twists and turns which I have come to expect from Cynthia. I love the relationship between Madeline and Mike and especially six books in this relationship has grown with each book. The story breaks into essentially three stories in the end and with the secondary characters weaving through the story it makes a enthralling read.
Although this can be read as a stand alone story, there are some references to other stories in this series and it would be great to see where this couple have come from. As always I can’t wait for the next adventure with these two great characters.

Chole is happy going through life at the moment, with a complex past she is not looking for anything to disrupt at the moment but in walks Chris and the world may just get alot better.
Chole’s past has not been the best, a tricky childhood which still haunts her but she has never really had luck in the romance world but her career has always been the beacon she has strived toward so when she gets a promotion she gets to write about topics she finds interesting, that’s when Chris crashes into her world.
Chris is a High School Principal and has had his fix of dating high maintenance woman who only really want him as a trophy, so when he is interviewed for the paper in walks the girl of his dreams. Chole is not like the other woman he has dated but once he pursues her he finds that she has baggage and history which he will need to go slow but show her he is the one for her.
This is the first book I have read by this author and as for a debut book the book showed promise. I must admit I am normally like a bit of angst within the main characters path to happiness but within this book the main characters were just really nice which is not a bad thing just sometimes did not hold my interest within the story.
I do have to say that the secondary characters where brilliant each bringing their own drama to the story and you get to see the glimpse into other books in this story, I hope. I loved the well developed story and the characters are brilliantly written. I can’t wait to read more in this series and from this author in the future.

If you enjoy romance novels that have suspense, obstacles, and multifaceted characters, this is a great book for you. Nash is a retired marine who is working through his issues and attempting to return to civilian life. Betsy is a nerdy librarian who lives in books more than reality. When the two lives collide, sparks fly. However, with their own personal troubles and Betsy’s little sister Leann’s, the attempt at romance is harder than expected. My favorite thing about Check Out is it’s not just a romance novel. It has so many aspects that make it a wonderful read, men and women alike would relate and enjoy this story. Read it, you won’t regret it.

This is the first book I have read from this author and she blew my mind. I love a good military book but this story exceeded all my expectations. This is the first book of the Bobbin sisters series. I was hooked on the first page and I could not stop until the end. I can’t wait to see what this author will write next.
Betsy Bobbins absolutely loves her job. She has always wanted to be a librarian. Betsy is drawn to a handsome man that keeps coming in and getting books from her. She is a little nervous because he wears an eye patch over one eye. Betsy is about to go home in a very bad snow storm but just her luck her car has a flat. She is shocked that the handsome guy helps her and she finds out that his name is Nash. He was a marine that got hurt in the line of duty. Betsy is falling for this guy but she discovers he has PTSD. She knows he would never hurt her but is she strong enough to help him through it? Also Betsy’s little sister has a stalker and she has to turn to Nash for help. Will they be able to find out who it is before it’s too late?

The Third Nanny by Michele Pariza Wacek quickly grabbed my attention. Thrillers are one of my favorite genres, and I always feel like I am quick to catch on and figure them out. I thought I had this figured out a few times, and I was wrong every time. The Third Nanny kept me hooked and intrigued the entire time. I stayed up way too late because I couldn’t put it down. It was definitely surprising, and that end, you’ll never guess. So, Does Janey find out what happened to her sister Kelly? I highly recommend you read The Third Nanny to find out.

I am always a huge fan of this authors work but this one blew me out of the water! I feel like I say this with each new book by this author but this one has topped my list of favourites! I absolutely loved this one!
I thoroughly enjoyed this read from start to finish, I was able to read it in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to stop reading. I was so captivated by these characters and loved everything about this book.
This is a paranormal read I would recommend to anyone, the story flows perfectly, it’s intriguing, witty, entertaining and action packed. I loved these characters so much and I hope to read more about them again asap! This is a paranormal read you won’t want to miss!

This was another phenomenal read by this talented author! Once again, I was captivated right from the get go with all of the details and mystery that I knew would follow. I ended up reading this book in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to put it down. I was so intrigued by the characters that I just had to find out how their stories were going to play out, and I was not disappointed. This is one of those books that ended too soon, I would love to read more of these characters in the future!
I would absolutely recommend this book and series to others, it’s truly one of a kind, a series you won’t want to miss!
