Effacement by Hieronymus Hawkes is one of those books that you just cannot put down once you start. This book is so good because it is so close to reality, and so utterly believable, that it really makes you think. I was completely drawn into this story and the events unfolding. I could imagine it all happening as if were there with the characters. This is a completely new author to me and I was really impressed by everything I read. The book was interesting and a unique concept but based in a plausible setting. The characters were easy to engage with.
Everything combined made for a fantastic book that I thoroughly enjoyed. I would highly recommend this to everyone!
