My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Spooked By A Suspicion is the stand alone follow up to Swallowed By A Secret by Risa Nyman. I hadn’t read the first book or anything by this author but the blurb intrigued me and I decided to give it a go. I also didn’t realise that this is a young adult book but that didn’t stop me from getting really engrossed in Rocky’s story from the very first chapter.
Rocky is determined to stop his mum remarrying. He just doesn’t lie or trust Ted. To many coincidental things happen to Rocky around Ted and Rocky thinks there’s something sinister going on.
While trying to prove that Ted is up to no good, Rocky is accused of stealing. So now he has to clear his name as well as get evidence that Ted is up to no good.
I really enjoyed reading Rocky’s story. He’s a great character that I could have read about for hours. I just love his over active imagination. No wonder he’s such an amazing young writer.
I really enjoyed reading about the secondary characters, mostly a bunch of teenagers. They really add so much to the story and make this book such an enjoyable read.
