A multi-genre author, Debra’s first romance, A Desperate Journey, a gritty western historical, was published in 2008 in eBook and 2009 in print after being selected as one of ten novels to compete in the American Title II contest put on by Dorchester Publishing and Romantic Times Book Lovers magazine. One year later, her agent sold the book to Samhain Publishing, a small traditional press that offered an advance. A hybrid author, she went on to write for five small presses before opening her own boutique press, Belo Dia Publishing Inc. Belo Dia is Portuguese for beautiful day.

Five of her favorite things are shooting primitive archery with her Mongolian horse bow, shooting long guns, shooting pool, walking on a sandy beach, and hearing from her readers. Each card and letter is a joyful treasure, like finding that perfect shell on the beach.

Really good dark fantasy read! This was my first read from this author and I will be reading more from them. As you read this book you see that all aspects of the story come together. I really enjoyed the character building and the descriptions of all the different places. Not everything is as it seems in this story. Definitely looking forward to book 2 and can’t wait to see what’s in store!

Rock Me to the Top: A Gracefall Rock Star Romance (Gracefall: Vicious Love Tour Series Book 1)
By Victoria Zak

I am a sucker for a good Rockstar Romance. I am so glad I picked up this book because it did not disappoint. The author sucked me into Melody and Joe’s story and I became completely invested. This is a friend’s to lovers story with drama, secrets, loss, love, and great characters. Melody is the daughter of a legendary drummer and she has known Joe and his band, Gracefall for a long time. She is asked to manage their tour and although she has reservations about it she decides to go and that’s when things get going. I don’t want to give anything away but you need to put this on your must read list. I experienced a myriad of emotions while reading this story which makes it a great read for me. I highly recommend this book.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a great 5 star read. I love rocker reads and this one pulled me right in from the beginning and I didn’t want to stop reading it.

Joe’s band Gracefall is starting to get big and when his best friend Melody joins their tour as their manager things get very interesting. Melody has a rule against dating Rock stars. The more time they spend together the greater their attraction gets. They do also have some things from their past that just won’t stay in the past. And there is a huge twist when tragedy strikes.

How will they both react to this? Can they move forward and have a HEA?

Overall I really enjoyed this book. The characters added a great element to the story. The author does a great job with her writing and I can’t wait to read more from this series. We get some steamy scenes and you can’t help but think about your own favorite band and wonder what they would be like on the road. If you’re looking for a great rocker read then I highly suggest you 1-click and get started today.

What an intriguing ending to the trilogy of this series. I have enjoyed the story. This installment was just as good as the first two. Excitement, adventure, romance, intrigue drama, and a few other things tossed in will grab you right from the start. I couldn’t put it down. I had to know where Jude was and what was going to happen with our young lovers. So many questions would finally be answered. Great characters well done plot and just outstanding story. You have to try this story. Highly recommend.

Melody Sterling is the daughter of a rock star. Joe Grace is the drummer for a rock band. Melody and Joe have been best friends forever, but have they both had stronger feelings than that? I love how Melody and Joe are so supportive of each other’s goals, but does it mean pursuing their own goals means they can’t be together?
Melody joins Joe on their headlining tour as their manager, can she handle the rock star lifestyle? She grew up in that world and it destroyed her parents. I found myself rooting for these two from the beginning. Their connection is so strong, even just as friends. They both have secrets that need to be told, but can they trust each other enough to be completely open?
Victoria Zak did a great job making me feel like I was right there with them.

Red’s Peril, Part 1, is Fantastic. I loved the story and how it told Red’s beginning from the time of his father’s death up to becoming Pres of the chapter. His story with Cheryl was bittersweet and heartwarming. Learning how he came into the club was intriguing and a little scary. i loved seeing the characters I was familiar with and just enjoying more of the tales that Ms. Mallets regales us with. They are so good and enthralling that it is very hard to put the story down once you start. I cannot wait to read Part 2. Highly recommend for the adventurous over 18 crowd.

Silent Gavel (A Crawford Mystery Book 1) by Merissa Racine- Review by Lauren West

Silent Gavel (Crawford Mystery #1)Silent Gavel by Merissa Racine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Merissa Racine did an amazing job with this book!! Every chapter I read I was trying to fit pieces together to solve this small town mystery. I did not want to put this book down once I started, and I did not want to be wrong about who I believed to be the murderer after I finished it. Lol
This story was very vivid and easily imagined, and the way she told the story it felt like you could be there.
It starts of with Lauren returning home to face her past and see if she can find her way successfully in this new chapter of her life. Good friends, her own home, and decent job show her promising start. Then one day she goes to pick up the judge she works with and walks right into a murder scene. She is questioned multiple times believed to be the prime suspect, and when information comes in casting a shadow on her ex-husband as well things get even stranger. As the story unfolds there is much more to this mystery and the small town than meets the eye. I promise you wont put this book down until the end!

Forever: A Diamond Doms Novel by Ivy Nelson. Ok first things first I personally recommend reading this series in order. One because you truly don’t want to miss any of the other books and two because it flows better that way. I went back and ended up just binging the entire series and I have absolutely zero regrets on my lost sleep. This book had everything I was looking for and definitely brought this series to an end the author could be proud of. Is this type of story for everyone maybe not but I for one was hooked from beginning to end and couldn’t put it down. The characters are complex and relatable, they simply draw you into their world and I loved getting lost in the pages with them. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I honestly wish I could read this book and the rest of the series all over for the first time but I’ll have to just add them to my read again list. Five huge stars and highly recommended!

Rock Me to the Top: A Gracefall Rock Star Romance by Victoria Zak is such a fun read! The characters, Joe and Melody, are fantastic together. I love the chemistry they bring to this Rock and Roll romance. Best friends since childhood, they grow up to fall in love and things get steamy. Not only that, but the story is very compelling as there is more to their lives than just romance; both of them struggle with tough life decisions that may or may not include the other. This provides a tension that keeps you hooked, and secrets that could tear their love apart. This story is a great one to start at bedtime if you want to be awake to greet the birds in the morning. Ashes of Aldyr (The Obscured Throne Trilogy Book 1) by Russell Archey – Review by Liz Vrchota

Ashes of AldyrAshes of Aldyr by Russell Archey
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book was interesting… I wasn’t quite sure what I was going to get into with it because I have never read anything by Russell Archey prior but I was intrigued by the cover, synopsis, and a few teasers so I decided with spooky season and whatnot to give it a go. This novel definitely has the dark undertones to set the mood and really builds the worlds beautifully. I will say the skill set there is strong for Mr. Archey. I did however struggle with the layout of the storytelling overall. I just had a difficulty with the way things flowed and couldn’t get into a groove that I wanted to find and look for often with my reading. I think that is something I often fear with fantasy type novels and this one unfortunately fell into that rut for me. However, the world building, the imagination and the time obviously spent in developing the characters and the background was ever prevalent and kept me reading until the end at the least. I would say I would be interested in seeing what book two holds and seeing if things flow a bit smoother for me in reading that one. I enjoyed the darkness that kept me on my toes and intrigued as well. Not bad for a new author to me and what seems to be a newer author in general so I will give it a solid three and a half stars.

Going into this, I was hoping for a cute romance, and some spice, and I was not disappointed! Right from the start, the story is cute and you instantly have a couple to route for. I love slow burn friends to lovers trope! What I was not expecting was how the background of the characters were revealed in layers throughout the story, keeping you both intrigued and inquisitive throughout. Some parts I think could have had a bit more drama in that they were resolved too easy, while other parts I definitely did not see coming. UGH MY HEART! Joe Grace is really too good to be true, and Melody much more patient than I. Loved the story, loved the journey, and will definitely read again when I am in the mood for a cute romance.

This is not your typical rockstar romance read, and I floved every moment of it. I don’t know why I haven’t read Victoria Zak before this but it won’t be my last time that is for sure. This book built all the feels and so very perfectly. I was invested in the characters from the very beginning and rooted for them to find that happily ever after the whole time. I found myself really just wanting to dive right into my kindle and hold them several times. I loved that this book did a wonderful job of telling the story without all the extras as well. Ms. Zak did a wonderful job of keeping things simple without too simple if that makes any sense. I knew where these two came from and where they were going and I knew that they belonged together no matter what. The journey of how they got there was the main focus and that my friends was the gorgeous beauty in the reading that took place in this book. I cannot wait to see what will come next as it looks like this is just the beginning of a wonderful new series from Ms. Zak!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Tenacious: Dark Billionaire Mafia Romance is book number six in the Billionaire Bodyguards series by Via Mari. Having not read the rest of the series, I can confirm that this can be read as a stand-alone story, although I’m tempted to go back now and start at the beginning.

This story is about Allie and Nick. I loved both of these characters right from the start. Their chemistry bounces off the page at you, but of course, the path of true love never runs smooth. Both are strong characters and I love how Allie can hold her own against Nick’s dominance.
This story is action-packed from the beginning and never really slows. The fast pace means I read this book super quick…I needed to know what happened next.
If you’re a fan of stories with plenty of chemistry and danger, I would definitely recommend this.

She wants him but the question is how bad and is she willing to risk her heart to him. I enjoyed how connectable they are and what they brought to the story. Red's Peril Part 1: The Making of an MC Prez (Satan's Devils MC Vegas #1)Red’s Peril Part 1: The Making of an MC Prez by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Red’s Peril: The Making of an MC Prez is the first instalment in the Las Vegas Chapter of the Satan’s Devils MC books by Manda Mellett. Manda Mellett is one of my favourite authors and can do no wrong in my eyes, although I did want to scream at her for leaving us with a cliffhanger at the end of part one of Red’s story.
We have met Red a few times before in other Satan’s Devils MC books but now he is getting his own books and I was so excited to dive in and get to know Red. Well, I can say that I absolutely love him. He’s an amazing character and I could read about him for hours and hours.
One thing that I loved about this book was the way in which Manda Mellett slipped in loads of the major happenings from other Satan’s Devils books as we went through the years with Red. I’m in awe of how she could remember all these event and when to fit them into the story. She had an amazing talent for writing intricate but amazing storylines that you do not want to put down. Red’s Peril definitely fits into this.
I loved reading about Red’s past and see how he has become the amazing man that he is now. Now I just have to be patient and wait for the 2nd part of Red’s story as I can’t wait to see what the future hold for him and Cheryl.

Having read the first two books in the series I was excited to listen to the audio book of book 3 and I wasn’t disappointed! The narration was great and the story was amazing! The authors writing never fails to pull me in straight away. There were some great twists and turns in the story that constantly had me guessing about what was going to happen. I love Dahlia and Alex, they have such a great relationship, they really do work well together and I enjoy the banter that they have between them. They are very entertaining characters to listen/read about. There is just something about Dahlia that I can’t help but like, she is strong and independent and she really is just a likeable character. Although it was a long listen the tie just flew by because I was so engrossed in the story I was listening to.
Another wonderful audio book by C L Schneider and one that I highly recommend!

Another beautifully written story from this lovely author. I absolutely adore her books, they are so easy to read, beautifully detailed and have amazing characters you just can’t help but love reading about. Snowfall Serenade was a lovely story, I was completely lost in what I was reading and the characters, Scott and Zelda, I was completely captivated by their story. I could honestly feel every emotion that the author had clearly poured into Zelda and Scott’s situation, it was so emotional to read and I definitely shed a few tears!
This is the third book in this soul connections series and I think (although it’s a tough one) it may be my favourite! I think I would also recommend that this series is read in order to fully understand everything that happens in this third book.

Red’s Peril Part 1: The making of an MC Prez (Satan’s Devils MC Vegas Chapter) by Manda Mellett – Review by Jennifer Gordon

Red's Peril Part 1: The Making of an MC Prez (Satan's Devils MC Vegas #1)Red’s Peril Part 1: The Making of an MC Prez by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

As a fan of the Satan’s Devils I was looking forward to reading this book and I was definitely not disappointed. Red, the MC Prez of the Vegas Chapter of the Satan’s Devils, has been a character in the background of previous books in the series but now he gets his own story, and he has an intriguing backstory. The storyline had me hooked from page one, as usual, and the plot twists kept me gripped and happily turning the pages well into the night, as I literally could not put the book down. Red’s story was emotional, exciting, full of drama, suspense and of course plenty of MC detail, steamy scenes and romance, a perfect read.

The world of the Satan’s Devils is really bought to life by the descriptive narrative and as usual the characters are likeable and each have their own unique characters and backstory that bring the story to life. I was fully immersed in the story and found it an enjoyable and engaging read, which also took me on an emotional rollercoaster. Red has had a fulfilled life being a mechanic and working his way up in the Satan’s Devils, becoming the Prez, following a difficult start in life, loosing his father. However, he’s never found his ‘old lady’ to ride on the back of his bike, but he’s never forgotten one woman, Cheryl a waitress he met fifteen years ago, and he’s always wondered what life would have been like with her.

When he meets Cheryl/Cher at a casino he has hopes of starting a relationship, after all they definitely had chemistry when they first met. When he goes to her house he has a shock when it’s not her who answers the door, No SPOILERS! This is where the book ends….I’m now impatiently waiting for Part Two.

I do really enjoy rock star romance stories and I think this is probably one of the best that I have read. Joe and Melody had such a wonderful connection but their story wasn’t an easy one. The author threw in some unexpected and emotional twists and I honestly felt like I was right there with the characters are some parts of the story. I really liked that not only did the author focus on the romance side of the story but also the life of a Rockstar, this in my opinion gave the story that real feel that enable me to become so invested in Joe and Melody.
This is the first book that I have read by this author and I cannot wait to read more from her and this series again!

Rock Me To The Top (Gracefall: Vicious Love Tour) by Victoria Zak – Review by Kerry Carr

Rock Me To The Top (Gracefall: Vicious Love Tour Book One)Rock Me To The Top by Victoria Zak
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first in a new series and it was really enjoyable. The author does an amazing job of making her characters so realistic that you can actually imagine this happening and the emotions that the characters are put through are so vivd that you feel every single one of them.

In the story we are following Joe and Melody.
Joe is a member of a band who is finally making it into the big time. He had the job he loves the only thing missing is the girl he loves. And that is Melody.

Melody and Joe have been friends since childhood. Both of them love each other however Melody had sworn never to date someone in a band. However, when Joe hires her as the bands tour manager things definately move over the line of friendship into romance between them.
They have helped each other through thick and thin however when a secret from Joe’s life gets revealed can their romance and friendship survive and will they be able to work a way for both or them to live their dream or will they have to lose each other in the process of achieving their dreams?
