<span;>Nite Fire: Smoke and Mirrors Audio book by C.L. Schneider is the next fantastic instalmeny to this amazing series. I love everything about this series and this book immediately pulled me straight back into it. The story is exciting and fast paced just like the previous ones. And yet it has such a distinguishable story that it stands out as its own. I was pulled back into the life of Dahlia with such ease. She is genuinely one of the best characters I have ever read. <span;>Tha author had created such a strong castbid characters – my favourite changes on a chapter by chapter basis! This is such an incredible series and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Rock Me to the Top: A Gracefall Rockstar Romance by Victoria Zak is a brilliant friends to lovers romance. Foe me this book is definitely all about the connection between the two characters. They had such a chemistry between them you could feel it on every page of the book. I liked the fact that the book had a bit more going on in it as well. It didn’t feel like your standard romance story, there was a level of detail I didn’t expect. This is a great book and looks to be the start of a brilliant series. I would definitely recommend this book.

Ashes of Aldyr (The Obscured Throne Trilogy Book 1) by Russell Archery 3 Stars
I love fantasy and horror books. This seemed like a mixture of both so I was excited to read it. It ended up not being what I expected. The same theme flows throughout the novel but it is like a bunch of short stories put together to form one book. The world of Alda is dying. Monstrosities abound and atrocities occur daily. Each story shows different events happening to different people. I enjoyed the story about the garden and the lady of the tower. These stories occurred more towards the beginning of the book and unfortunately the rest didn’t capture my attention. The stories were too short for me to get attached to the characters therefore I honestly couldn’t care less what happened to them. I couldn’t finish the book. I completely lost interest. This book wasn’t for me personally but it is well written and unique. I’m sure there are many readers who would enjoy it.

I did not read the first books in the series, I didn’t feel as if I missed out on too much information, but after reading this book, I definitely want to go back and read the previous books. This book captured me immediately, Allie is such a strong and independent woman and watching her interactions with Nick is very sweet. It’s the same old thing, she doesn’t think he could ever fully be committed to her, he is so in love with her its ridiculous, but the communication on that front is none. I couldn’t get enough! It seems like after Allie helps Nick with saving the women she wants more of that face paced life, with action and danger, and I really look forward to seeing if she gets to pursue that. Allie and Nick are a great couple, I love the Irish theme thrown in and the romantic moments, the action, the drama, the danger, a perfect and quick read.

Shadows of Doubt by Merissa Racine is the second book in the Crawford Mystery series. Silent Gavel and Shadows of Doubt were perfect reads for the Halloween season. I loved this series. Just like with the first book, Shadow of Doubt instantly caught my attention and kept me hooked the entire time. There was a ton of action to keep me entertained and it kept me guessing the entire time. Merissa does it again with her attention to detail and making me feel like I was there watching everything happen. Just like with book 1 you won’t be disappointed reading this. It’s fantastic.

Victoria Zak caught me off guard with this novel! I wasn’t expecting half of what happened in this story and was pleasantly surprised by all parts of it. I love that Joe wasn’t born into fortune and fame. It made his storyline feel much more real and like he deserved the fame that he was working so hard to achieve. He had a rough childhood with his brother and has been lying about it from the start of his friendship with Melody. Add in the childhood turned adult love story and I was hooked from the first few pages. Melody is the daughter of a famous rock and roll star and watched her parents’ relationship fall apart because of his life on the road. She has been in love with him since they were kids, too but refused to act on it out of fear of ruining their friendship and not wanting to go through what her mom had to. When Joe asks her to go on tour with his band since her orchestra audition fell flat, she doesn’t agree right away – which made this feel more believable. I loved that they spent some time together and didn’t jump right into bed. It wouldn’t have had the same impact on me if the author had gone in that direction. There are some things that I will not spoil for you, but just hear me when I say I screamed “OH NO” because Victoria caught me completely off guard. I am so glad to have read this novel and look forward to reading more from this author in the future. It was easy to read in one sitting, so if you haven’t checked it out yet – you really should!

I love this author so much, they always write such god novels, that truly suck you in and this one was no different, I was completely hooked, and I loved every aspect of this story! I loved reading about Red and his story, as I never knew much of him in other novels, this novel was so freaking good!
I loved the back story for Red. He was a character in other novels, but you never really knew much of how he came to be what and who he was. You knew him in the present. But what choices did he encounter or choose to get him where he was in the previous works of the other novels? For me this novel at times tore my heart out. The story was happy at times and it brought heart break, but Red did decide to live by what he believed knew was best for him, with sacrifices and all!
The story of Red, was gripping in every which way possible. I enjoyed learning of the girl he fell hard for, and you could see she meant something to him, and as he did to her. For me I had hopes for a fairy tale ending for our Red, but then again I knew his present story…I was left devastated towards learning truth between these two souls. All in all, this was what was best for our Red. He knew that too deep down. He chose a life he wanted…but I can not help but think maybe something will happen. Red is such a wonderful character, he’s a heart of gold, I would love to see his happy ending, and to get a life he wants as well as needs! I guess I have to get my hands on part 2 to see what happens next!
Red’s story really was gripping and heart felt. I really got to know him and he’s really a tender teddy bear. I cant wait to read part 2 and see where his story shall lead next! If you are a fan of previous works b this author of the series, I highly recommend this, I feel you fall in love with Red as I did!

Silent Gavel by Merissa Racine is the first book in the Crawford Mystery series and is perfect for Spooky Season. I loved this! I was immediately hooked. Merissa had a great way of keeping me guessing throughout the whole book. I had a hard time putting it down. The details in the book were amazing! It made me feel like I was there, and I was watching it all unfold. I kind of wish it was real so that I could go to the bakery and try the yummy food. If you enjoy mystery’s give this a read you won’t be disappointed, even if you don’t and are looking to try something new for Spooky Season then this is it!

Author Manda Mellett had me in tears about 3 or 4 times in this book. She spins the story so you are emotionally invested in the characters. You feel like you know them and you certainly feel their happiness and trials. Red’s story can be broken down in several categories. He has gone through so much, from losing his dad and others close to him. He finds himself leaving on the road to who knows where but somewhere with no snow. The feeling of freedom to get on your bike and just ride south with no destination in mind. That would be amazing to almost all of us. Even if just for a short while. Red finds himself in Tucson Az where the story really starts to take off into the land of MC. Loved Loved Loved this book. The characters interact with characters from other books which I love but are not necessary to read if you start with this book. Amazing amazing author. You will not be disappointed with any book from Manda Mellett.

Fin-tastic! I really enjoyed this story! Though, I will advise you to read the previous books before this one. It will help tie in different aspects of this story. I adored Serena and just all that she brings. She is a little apprehensive about taking charge of such an important child. The adventure seems to be way more than she expected. This is such an amazing mix of magic, adventure, even a little romance. It will suck you in and just not let go! I could not recommend this more!

This is the last of the books in this series and while I will miss reading about these characters, I would have to say this was the best book by far. I will say that if you haven’t read any of the books it is important to read them in order so that you will understand the characters and their story. In this book you finally see the main character come into her full self and become the person that she is mean to be. She is finally able to accept her abilities and use them to her advantage. I’ve been waiting for that to happen. This author is an amazing writer. Her attention to detail is phenomenal and she has me seeing everything going on. It’s like the story jumps off the page and onto my TV screen. The characters and their relationships are so realistic and relatable that I don’t think anyone could be disappointed in this book series.

Shadows of Doubt (A Crawford Mystery) by Merissa Racine. I LOVE this series and this book was amazing! It can be read as a standalone but I really suggest reading the first book beforehand to get a feel for all the characters. Its the continuing story of Lauren Besoner, a court reporter who was wrongly charged in a judge’s murder last book. Lauren is working the biggest trial that her hometown in Wyoming has ever had. Lauren really has a gut feeling that the suspect is not guilty so of course she wants to do her own investigation. As Lauren is investigating she uncovers some stuff in her past she would much rather have been left hidden. Will Lauren be able to figure out who the killer is or will she end up losing not only her dream job but also her life? This series is such a fun, mysterious, who done it set of books. I can’t wait for the next one!

Wow this story! I really enjoyed it. The pace and entertainment are wonderful. I was easily drawn into the lives of these characters. They became almost family like. It focuses on Joe, his band and his first love. I loved watching these two come together. The band..well they are a band who lives and breathes the rock and roll dream.
The secondary characters are perfect. They add to the story and don’t overstep but move slightly forward now and again. I really can’t wait to read more about this group!

This is my first story by Victoria Zak. Rock Me to the Top is a good story although it is almost predictable. Guy and girl who are best friends, finally admit their feelings for each other, guy is “caught” in the arms of another girl. Girlfriend misinterprets situation and flees causing grief for them both. Of course, there is more going on which makes me want to keep reading to see how they will figure things out. The ending leaves me wondering if there will be more, there is so much potential for more not only for Joe and Melody but for the rest of the band members. Even Melody’s friend Dani has a story. I look forward to seeing what this author can bring to this story line and what kind of trouble these characters will get into.

Rock Me To The Top by Victoria Saks is a wonderfully romantic story. Joe and Melanie are childhood best friends. They are childhood friends that have been in love with each other for all their lives. They made a pact when they were younger to keep their friendship first. Do they cross that line? Joe and his band have finally achieved their dreams of fame. Melanie is close to achieving hers, she dreams of playing with the LA Symphony. Can she have her dreams and the man of her dreams? I really enjoyed reading the story to find out. The chemistry between her and Joe sizzles. These two are like watching an electric storm. Moxley, Dylan,, Dani and Taylor were amazing supporting characters. They each had their roles to play. I cried to see Mox’s cut short. I would love to see his story with his wife. Joe and Melanie see some huge challenge’s to their relationship (summer tour, band antics, etc. ) but they come through it and still end up back together and the ending from the proposal on…let’s just say I’m not crying, you’re crying (happy tears). I loved the book. Rock and roll, groupies, tours, etc., what’s not to love. Highly recommend.

Nite Fire : Smoke & Mirrors (Book 3) Audio Book by C.L. Schneider is a paranormal fantasy that once you start listening to it you won’t want to stop. The narrator does an amazing job bringing the story and characters to life. I loved how she’d change her tone for the characters and I find listening to her so soothing. This is a story that is packed with shape shifters who are hidden to lots of action. If you haven’t already started this series I highly recommend reading/listening to this whole series each one is just as good as this one. There’s plenty of twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat. Get ready to be taken on quite the journey with Dahlia and Detective Alex. There’s a lot going and plenty of secrets that need to stay hidden. What will happen if they are exposed? I highly recommend listening to this to find out what happens next and Can Dahlia keep secrets hidden I can’t wait for more.

Rock Me to the Top is book one in the Gracefall: Vicious Love Tour series by Victoria Zak. This author is a new discovery. And what a refreshing and arousing delight this story was. There was a sensuality that was extremely addictive and Joe and Melody were the most enticing couple. Joe was a rock star drummer. Rough around the edges perfection. He was your typical bad boy star with that extra zing. He possessed a little something special that was undeniably alluring. Melody knew the rocker life and while maybe she was a little crazy for even contemplating a life wit ha rocker, she was unable to deny the attraction that sizzled between them. Secrets would threaten to wreck their world. There was always one problem after another and the odds seemed to be stacked against them. It was such a drawn out drama that made me insatiable for more. In a quest for the elusive happy ever after, once they get used to the idea of a them, these two go at it guns blazing. You would think their relationship would be just about impossible, being friends first and all, and the whole rocker lifestyle being so difficult and temperamental, but no, their incredible personalities shone through the pages and they gave it their all. This story provided an endless unveiling of true love, loyalty, honour and tenacity. a brilliant 5 star read.

The Groomsman by Marina Hanna is a great contemporary romance. As with Love Unexpected Marina’s writing has had me completely captivated in her stories. Her characters are wonderful and you become very invested in them. I also love her wicked sense of humour. Although it is a quick read it has everything to keep you engrossed and engaged. I loved every minute of it. The chemistry sizzled and some very steamy scenes jumped right off the page. With lots of passion, a boatload of desire, a dash or two of sass, a few intense moments, a drop or two of angst and a little drama and some super sexy times makes for some fabulous reading. One night forever changed everything. Trust me and do yourself a favour and start reading Marina’s books today. Reviewed by @jennadb

This new adult contemporary romance is a friends-to-lovers tale where there is the push and pull, should I or shouldn’t I. AND whelp, they definitely should. OMG this one has all the feels. It was hot, sexy and sizzling. Victoria has given us complex but loveable characters and you cannot help but root for them. But nothing is plain sailing and emotions are all over the place. Having seen what it’s like on the other end of the rock and roll, rock star life Melody has seen its dark and devastating effects. So can she handle that for herself? Ashes of Aldyr (The Obscured Thorne Trilogy Book 1) by Russell Archey. This is the first book I have read by this author and I was pleasantly surprised. I must say his work reminded me of JK Tolkien the hobbit works. This dark tale is steeped in evil causing havoc in the new world that Russell has created. The delicate and multilayered threads that have been painstakingly weaved together has become an intriguing and engrossing read. It’s a great, fast-paced narrative that has enough Tolkien to be familiar yet not be a cut-and-paste copy. The story is riveting and you’ll find yourself wondering what comes next. There are small issues with the story but these are not glaring for those who enjoy good plotlines.

Red’s Peril Part 1: The making of an MC Prez (Satan’s Devils MC Vegas Chapter) by Manda Mellett. Manda is always a click and go and it’s almost a relief when you get your hands on the next book that is until you start to read. I am addicted to Manda’s MC stories and the men and women that she brings to life and Red’s Peril is no different. The characters are complex and all grumbly but underneath they are loveable and sexy. But don’t let that fool you. You hurt one of them and be prepared to be hurt in return. I love the banter and their comradery and quirky natures and the way they fight to protect what’s theirs. Hang on tight as you ride into Red’s territory and all that comes with it. This beautifully written tale is of Red who has worked his way up the chain and becoming the leader of the Vegas MC chapter story. He’s had a good life, but one thing is missing and although he thinks his time has passed, maybe it hasn’t.

I absolutely love a dom based book and Russel does not disappoint he is hot, serious and a strong alpha male. Gemma is married but the attraction her and Russel have for each other is undeniable and she may be able to give him full control and submit in the bedroom but can she do it in everyday life.

In an empire divided into three rings, Talise is from the lowliest and most dangerous outer ring. To escape that life, she just has to do three things.
1) Attend an elite academy for manipulating the elements of water, air, earth, and fire.
2) Become the most powerful student in her year.
3) Prove her magic is the best in a competition in front of the emperor himself.
Everything goes according to plan until a handsome and rich young man shows up with just as much skill as her.
She has to win. She has to hate him.
But when the competition falls apart, the emperor forces them to work together instead. Their growing attraction only distracts them from dark truths that the empire has hidden for too long.
Secrets lurk in every shadow of the palace, hiding a conflict that sits on the brink of war. But Talise has secrets of her own. Secrets that could destroy her.
A war is coming. Talise can only hope she’s powerful enough to meet it.

I hadn’t much ambition, my main aim being to find somewhere warmer where I could ride my motorcycle all year around. I saw my future as most men do, finding a steady job, eventually getting married and spitting out a couple of kids.
Fate seemed to comply, throwing into my path my soul mate only a few hundred miles from my home. But it wasn’t to be, I’d found her, loved her then lost her, all in a matter of days.
I’d ridden on alone until the Gods stepped in once again and put me in the sights of the Satan’s Devils MC. Despite my initial reluctance, I was soon accepting the prospect patch, and from that point on, never looked back.
I rose through the ranks, eventually becoming Prez of the Vegas Chapter of the club. I’ve gained respect and loyalty from my brothers, and in many ways have everything that I want.
Except I’ve never quite lost my dream of finding my own old lady to of starting a family. But while life on the whole has been good to me, it seems my destiny is to ride through it alone.

Holy moly this was such a fun read. Action-packed plot with Greek mythology thrown in throughout the story. Nik was such a fun character to read. That ending was nail-biting tense. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes Greek mythology.

Well Hello there Red!!! I have read a few of Manda Melletts Satan’s Devils books, not as many as I’d have liked to have read but I am getting there! Anyway Red has appeared here and there so it is so awesome to finally read his story and get to know this amazing guy a bit more. This story takes us from Red working as a mechanic caring for his father, to a young guy heading out into the world to find his place. He finds it with the Satan’s devils and we get to watch him grow and develop into a real man. I had a little hunch at the start of the book and when it came true at the end I was so happy for Red but also heartbroken for him….Read it and you’ll get to know what I mean…I know, I am a tease right, well so is Ms Mellett by splitting his story into two parts, and I LOVE it…now I am left hanging and dying to know what’s next for Sweet Red. Yep I said Sweet Red, he might be an MC Prez but I think he is a total sweetheart with the biggest heart! From start to finish I just wanted to see him get his happy ever after and while in some aspects I think he has got that, there is more to come for sure. I am absolutely positive the road ahead will not be completely smooth but I sure can’t wait to hit the road with Red again and see where it takes us.

Forever is book #9 in this series and I would encourage everyone to read the other books. I def felt like I landed in the living room of a family I didn’t know yet. To say I didn’t want to put it down is an understatement. It has great characters, great action, and great plot line. Gemma comes across kind of superficial at first, but she grew on me as book went on. A few twists in this story that I actually didn’t see coming so that was fun. Needless to say I will be reading other books in the series!

This fantasy horror/thriller really had me at the edge of my seat the entire time. It starts out with a few different perspectives and then settles into the main characters. I felt like I was right there along with them, trying to figure things out and trying to navigate complex emotions. I really can’t see what happens next!
