My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I just finished this set and I have to tell you that I LOVED it!! I WISH there was going to be many many more!!
Poor Lucy has had a very hard 15 years of life so far. All she wants is to fit in with some friends and to go live with her grandmother. Life never goes as planned though. With the sudden death of her mother her life is turned upside down. She has to move in with other family members, some strange guy bumps into her at the airport and slips her something, there is a boy that lives upstairs who seems to be watching her, her grandmother’s pet bird is missing, and she finds out some secrets about her family’s past. Can life get any stranger? It does when a dangerous stranger with a ancient grudge against her family attacks and Lucy is forced to choose a side and fight or die. Will she choose the right side? Will she die either way? Will she find out who all these random guys are that have now flooded her life? And will she finally fit in somewhere? If you love gripping fantasy stories and light vs dark magical battles you have got to read this series.
