Shadows of Doubt (A Crawford Mystery) by Merissa Racine – Review by Moriah Venable

Shadows of Doubt: A Crawford MysteryShadows of Doubt: A Crawford Mystery by Merissa Racine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Shadows of Doubt is a novel by Merissa Racine. This is part of the Crawford Mystery series.

This is my first novel by this author and I could not put it down.

Lauren Besoner is desperate for money to the point where she agrees to work with her ex husband, the newly appointed judge.

But she realizes as she reports the murder case, that the wrong person is standing in the courtroom.

Will she continue to do the job she was hired to do or will she try to find the real killer?

This is my first novel by this author and I really enjoyed it. Definitely felt the dilemma Lauren found herself in. It would be the right thing to do to find the real culprit so someone did not go to jail, unjustly. On the other hand, she was paid to do a job and others may not believe her or cause her not to get paid.

I could not put this book down. I haven’t read any court based mysteries so this was a new genre for me and I am so happy I gave it a chance.

Now I want to go back and read the previous novel.
