Caught in Midnight Shadows by Sharleen Scott – review by Crystal Jimmo

Caught in Midnight Shadows (Caught series, #4)Caught in Midnight Shadows by Sharleen Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hold onto your horses and strap yourself in because Caught in Midnight Shadows will take you for a ride! The suspense throughout the book literally keeps you on the edge of your seat! This book has two povs, Brant and Audrey. Without giving too much away, Brant has some weird things going on in his life. His barn being burnt down, and a few other things. Audrey is haunted by her trauma from a little kid, brought on by the death of her Great Aunt Tilda. Both seek solace in each other while trying to not get attached. The romance builds between them it’s almost palatable and you can feel it as the reader. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and I greatly enjoyed the book, The ending wrapped everything up in a neat little bow, although it did have me a little worried there for a minute. The writing was phenomenal and Sharleen Scott has a good way of hooking you in and keeping you there. I loved how nothing was too over the top, but still down to Earth and relatable. I could see that happening to me without too much imagination. I cant wait to read her other books!
