This is a lovely short romance story. Even though it is a short story it feels complete and the author doesn’t miss anything out. The characters are well written and easy to relate to.
Len  is a police officer who was injured in the line of duty. Now he’s stuck behind a desk and hating every minute of it. Everyday is the same until he goes to a barbecue and meets Leann.

The attraction between them is instant and as their relationship grows Len checks in consistently with Leann to check she’s OK. To some people it might see obsessive but Leann loves it and it would eventually help to save her life.
