I read this as soon as I finished the previous book in this Duet and loved it as much as the first. It’s really a direct continuation of the first story, and there’s slightly more angst where the first had more mystery. There’s plenty of sweetness, chemistry, and emotion, just like in the first novel. I really think the author captures the romance between the two main characters Kat and Phillip without getting too sappy, and we get to see more of Phillip’s character arc this time. This novel really does not disappoint!
