Blindsided by T. Christensen – Review by Karyn Taylor

Blindsided: A Contemporary Sports RomanceBlindsided: A Contemporary Sports Romance by T. Christensen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a great contemporary romance by an author who I’ve read several times before and always enjoyed their writing. Set in a high school it is a great example of just how terrifying and awful high school can be if you are not one of the ‘in’ crowd; even worse in this case, as the ‘in’ crowd are out to make her life as miserable and hard as possible.
My heart broke so many times for Kirsa during this book. I admired her amazing bravery to continue going to school every day not knowing what horrors awaited her. I do have one little misgiving with the story: I struggle with how Brock never gave her a chance to give her side of the story and chose to believe the rumours. If he truly was her best friend then surely he would have known she was not capable of what she was accused of. Of course, if that was the case then we wouldn’t have this great story that had me hooked.
The author does a great job of making the reader hate some characters and for me that is one thig that makes a good writer: the ability to make you really hate a character.
I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it to others.
