After hiding out after his mother’s death, Matt/Max is back to take what belongs to him. It does not matter who stands in his way, including his own father. He just needs to stick to his plan and try not to let the one complication that has come to light stray him from his mission. That complication, however, is LOVE. Liliana has also lost her mother, and the only parent she felt ever loved her. Will she be able to survive with her father and his people, or is she just another pawn in his long-term game? This book is one you won’t want to put down. I made myself take a break from going straight into book #2. The author did a great job, and I can’t wait to learn more about these mafia families. The suspense and action in this book kept me wanting more and more!
