This is a little bit of coming of age, little bit of mystery, little bit of navigating close relationships with family and friends, and a little bit of learning about life and love. Two best friends, Cate and Patti, reunite after several years apart when Cate’s dad falls ill. Secrets between them, and distance, after Patti moved away to college and got married, came between the two women who are still figuring out who they are and what they want from life. As they work through their personal experiences and rekindle the friendship, the story takes the reader through lots of twists and turns to piece together exactly what happened the summer after the pair’s senior year in high school.
