This story takes you back to an age where races did not mix, slaves were a status symbol and the elite were almost untouchable. They lived by their own rules and lesser classes bowed to them. Reading this story was reflective and very well written. I escaped instantly and was captivated by the formation and evolution of the characters and it was a truly humbling experience. A very well thought out and provocative tale that will be enjoyed by many, I am sure. 4 stars.
Sweet Rourke is a 7th grade boy with mysterious neighbors, a crush, younger twin sisters, an autistic older brother, and severe anxiety. I’ve been saying for years that adults forget how stressful it is being a kid, and this book gives a perfect example of how accurate that is. This YA story speaks so wonderfully to young people, but offers a wonderful point of view to adults reading it, as well.
You never know what someone is going through, their thoughts, struggles, home life, mental health…you truly never know. This book was a wonderful read and checked all the boxes. I was brought to tears a few times, laughed and related to the awkwardness many more – and was very satisfied with the ending. I’m glad I took a chance on this book and really feel like I am taking something away from it. A delight.

There is nothing more sexy that a Dr/Orderly romance. This one was a cracking good read. I must say I have not enjoyed a short story so much in a really long tome. And the Dr entered my life at the perfect time. Right when i needed an escape the most. I forgot the world and entered their world. The fast paced and dramatic day to day lives of the medical profession swept me away and left me extremely satisfied. Sensual, sizzling chemistry and real, honest and believable characters made up a very entertaining read. 4 stars.

This novella was hot, steamy, and fun! It takes your imagination on a very indecent ride to Dr. D a Pediatrician loved by children and of course the moms, nurses, aunts, and any other hot blooded woman to grace his presence. The story allows you to see Dr. D as more than just a dreamy doctor but an actual professional who cares about his patients and colleagues. He and Emily had great chemistry and it was exciting to see things progress. This book was a short, but fun read and I am eager for the future books within the series.

The Billionaire’s Slave by Stacy-Deanne. This book was different and hard to read. The slavery period was a difficult time for a lot of people but this story made something positive out of a bad time. Its about Penny who is a slave. The family she works for loves her but they also make sure she knows her place. She is family in some ways but not all. In 1864 South Carolina slaves could not say no to a white man, woman or child. If and when they did it was with dire consequences. Penny is sold to a white man named Leon Falcon because he wants her. He plans to teach her, train her and have his way with her but he didn’t include feelings becoming involved. Penny has her own plans and she teaches Leon far more than he could ever teach her. The problem with them falling in love is their kind of relationship is unheard of in those days. There is really no way they can see it working out. Is there any possible way they can be together. Things don’t look good for them but if anyone can make it work they can.
An enjoyable and engaging paranormal romance and a great start to a new series. Human, Cathy Lu is concentrating on her career having been disappointed by past relationships, so she’s not looking for love. However, drawn to the magic around the August Full Moon she meets an Angel, Daedriel, who makes all her desires come true. Daedriel is a seraph, bound to blood, death, and responsibility, and so has never been in love or had a relationship, but one kiss from Cathy and he’s thinking of forever with her. Soon evil surrounds them and Daedriel has to keep Cathy safe but is that by keeping her close or keeping her far away from him and the darkness that threatens him. The storyline flows well and the plot kept me happily turning the pages. I loved Daedriel and Cathy which made me feel engaged with them and the story. Their chemistry really came across in the narrative and I was cheering them on hoping they would get their HEA.

An enjoyable and engaging historical romance which had me hooked from page one. The author manages to bring a period of history vividly to life with her descriptive narrative and historical details, which made me feel immersed in the era and the setting. Set in a time when white men had black slaves and black women could not say no to a white man, this is South Carolina in 1864. Slave Penny is sold to Leon Falcon, who decided to buy her because he wanted her. Leon’s plan was to buy her, teach her and then take her, but he soon discovers that Penny has her own plans. Although Leon has slaves he does look after them and he soon finds himself falling in love with Penny. However, their relationship is unheard of at that time and they face many obstacles, but they love each other and are determined that they will not be separated. I loved Penny as a character, she’s strong and determined and very likeable and relatable. The chemistry between her and Leon sizzles off the page and I liked how there relationship developed despite the obvious complications. This is a heartwarming and at times heartbreaking romance which I literally could not put down.

She quickly learns that the Italian Mafia had changed while she was gone. Now, as she is walking down an aisle for her wedding, she realizes she didn’t want a marriage of convenience. She wanted everything.
I have been reading this series from its very beginning and I have become hopelessly hooked by the vivid imagery. The characters are realistic, and their motivations are understandable. Looking for intelligent, resourceful women? Check! Looking for strong yet passionate men? Check! This is a 5-star book and I highly recommend the entire series.

Leslie McClunis is a firefighter and a ballerina which make a perfect combination for discipline, stamina, flexibility and determination, not to mention that she is as strong in mind as well as body. Trevor Hampton is a star defensive end and has the build to back it up, at well over six feet tall and built almost as wide, he has the team in his heart and a determination not to lose at anything.
Leslie is being her usual grouchy self at a class she has to take to help her to act more “feminine” or at least that is what her chief has suggested it for, it’s not like she wants to be that, she prefers to be treated as one of the guys and have the same rules as they do. However, her firehouse have other ideas, but when a man sits next to her and is just the tall, dark and handsome she is looking for, she is more than just distracted and she decides there and then to propose they go next door for a drink.
Trevor is taken aback by the fiery redhead who has just propositioned him and normally he would just politely say no, but something intrigued him and when they go for that drink, she is extremely forward and has him wanting her as much as she apparently wants him. After a night of passion, Trevor wakes up on this pint sized wildcats bed, only to find that she is at work, but after what just happened, he is determined to make it more than a one night stand.
Leslie is more than happy just to hit and run, so when Trevor tracks her down and insists that she goes out with him again, she is both annoyed and flustered, this is definitely not how things are supposed to work, but he is having none of it. Will Trevor be able to convince Leslie that making this more than just a one night fling is the right thing to do, or will she kick him to the kerb faster than he can say firefighter? This is a steamy romance with a whole heap of action on the side which will hook you in as the story plays out and keep you there until the end.

It is another season on Buckquoy where the death of prominent member of the island society occurs and although it was expected, it still jars those who were closest to them. As it is such an occasion, the family members gather from the far reaches of the islands and further to pay their respects to the dead.
As people gather, a decision has to be made and Thorfinn is again in charge of the decision which is who will inherit their place as the leader in the hierarchy. As relatives pursue their own agendas, those left with the fallout are the ones who have to aid Thorfinn in the process and so he calls upon his most faithful to observe the contenders and report back on their findings.
As this is ongoing, tragedy strikes and there is another death, although this one is much more mysterious as accusations and fists fly in the aftermath. With this new development, Ketil is called upon to help solve the mystery, especially when it is his old friend Sigrid who is in the firing line, but will they be able to work out who the culprit is before they take the fall, or will tragedy follow on their heels?
This is another mysterious historical crime where people are plotting behind the backs of others, while protecting their own, on a small island community filled with contentious individuals.
It has been far too long since I have read a story with a strong a female lead as there is in this book. For me she really does takeover the whole story and stands out. There seems go be a lot that goes on in this story, sometimes to the point where it would almost feel like too much, but then the author would pull it all back in again. I thought it was well written and that the author knew exactly what feel they were going for. This is a great book that I would recommend.

Although I am very familiar with this author this is first time I have read a book of this genre that she has written. It didn’t stop me from picking it up without looking any further into it. Although the Genre is different this book features all the writing style that I have come to expect from this author. I was hooked in the story so easily and had to read it all in one sitting. I loved the characters and the story. There was a synergy between the two that worked so well. I was swept up in the story and had to see how it was going to end. I am looking forward to rest of this series and yo whatever else this author can come up with next.

Daire’s Devils is an exciting military sci-fi novel. It combines influences from the real military with a vibrant future setting that will satisfy even the pickiest sci-fi fans. The story is gripping from the start. We see Kat, believing she’s been given a boring job to keep her safe only to find that she’s in a lot more danger than she realised. There are levels of secrets and mysteries to solve, and plenty of action along the way. I love Kat’s resourcefulness, and she’s not overskilled to the point of seeming unrealistic. This book will appeal to fans of Star Trek and other space military stories. There’s great attention to detail, including seemingly mundane aspects like what the showers are like and how the “meat” is produced. This paints a vivid picture, and helps make the story more believable. They also address things like grief and guilt for the ordinary crew members who are killed when a ship is destroyed – something which many stories seem to gloss over. Daire’s Devils gets five stars from me! This is a captivating story that will take you on an amazing adventure!

Falcon’s strategy is straightforward: first, he’ll purchase her. He’ll show her how to do it. He’s going to take her after that. Penny exposes his heart to a love so great that it transcends every force that dares to break them apart, and he quickly discovers he’s the student.
I loved this story. I loved every page of it. Every chapter was exciting. This is my third book from this author and I can’t wait to read more of her books.
I thoroughly enjoyed this engaging historical romance which was full of period details which made me feel immersed in the story. The storyline follows the Brightly sisters, and this novel focuses on Charmaine Brightley, who in order to protect her younger sisters, when they lose the family’s inheritance to a distant male cousin, makes plans to make a practical marriage match. Charmaine believes that romantic love is a ridiculous notion, until she meets a stranger at her own masquerade ball and she can’t deny their instant attraction. Duke Konstantin “Kosta” Rostov had to abandon Russia and travel to England following a tragic duel. Kosta sneaks into a masquerade ball at Cortwood Manor, and when he meets the alluring Lady Charmaine, their chemistry sizzles. Kosta is forced to serve his cruel stepfather and so when he is sent back to Cortwood, he wonders why his stepfather wants him to seek out Charmaine. When he realises his stepfather is out to destroy her, can he go through with it, after all Charmaine has captured Kosta’s heart. The descriptive narrative really brought the setting to life and I loved the main characters, Charmaine and Kosta have a definite connection and I liked how their relationship developed. I look forward to Charmaine’s sisters getting their own stories.

This is the fourth book in the series. It could be read as a standalone, but I feel like I would have connected better to the characters if I’d read the previous books. That being said, you won’t be lost if you pick this up out of order like I did. There’s enough backstory to get you caught up. The story starts out with action and just keeps going. Since the two main characters are previously acquainted, there’s already an attraction right at the start due to that history so it has an insta-love feel. If you like mafia romances, this one is pretty on par with the genre.
Immersed into a world where everything is not as it seems, Adrijana discovers her father’s dislike for visiting the capital is more than just a jaded view of an old man who’s lived through times of war. Among assassinations, plots and mysteries surrounding most everyone Adrijana meets in the city, she has to find her way and figure out whom she can trust, all while discovering a huge secret about her own hidden abilities and the newfound discrimination she faces because of the truth. This is a truly captivating story with twists and turns and an exciting tale to witness as it unfolds. Can’t wait to read what happens next!
I have been looking forward to reading this third instalment to the Journeys Through series and I really enjoyed it. I think this is probably my favourite from the series – again the author transported me to another world with his wonderfully detailed writing. The story was action packed from the start. It was great to see recurring characters as well and because of this I would highly recommend that this series is read in order. I definitely think this book tied together the series well. I liked the uniqueness of Matt and Rashella’s relationship, their character development was really well done. Overall a great read and I look forward to more from this author again in the future.

I loved this book! Historical romance is my favourite genre and it was nice to read a historical romance set in a different country to the ones I usually read. I have read a few books by this author now and I really enjoy her writing style but I have to say I think that this one is definitely my favourite so far. I was completely hooked from beginning to end. Leon and Penny’s story was so captivating and I think it is because of the time it was set and the way their relationship would have been viewed is hard for us now to understand in the time period I which we live in now. The passion and chemistry between the two characters was undeniable and you could tell that their feelings were genuine. I really did enjoy this story and would absolutely recommend it to other readers.
I really enjoyed this short read. I loved the characters, they were really down to earth and genuine. There were some very funny moments in the story especially with Emily and the fish! I loved Desmond – aka Dr D! Apart from his good looks he actually was a genuinely lovely person and my heart broke for him at certain points in the story. I loved the chemistry between him and Emily – they had a real connection. Emily was a really sweet and caring character too. I loved the banter between both the main characters and the secondary characters – it really felt I was reading about the lives of co-workers in a hospital! I really would have happily read a longer story with these characters and its definitely made me want more from this series! I have read a few books by this author now and it was really nice to read something different from her. I 100% recommend this short steamy read and I can’t wait for more!

I was a little apprehensive going into this as I was wary of the master-slave dynamic during this time period. What I found, however was a beautiful love story. Master Falcon has absolutely no issue going against the norm and calling out how others opinions of right and wrong don’t align with his. Penny gives off the vibe that she is young and naïve, but she is clear with what she wants, and knows more that she is given credit for. The love story itself was very spicy and beautiful. It had me invested from the beginning and rooting for true love to win out above all else! There were some parts that were hard to read, and some very close calls. Check your trigger warnings, but definitely give this book a shot. I will be looking into more books by this author for sure.
Steamy Hospital Romance This was not what I expected from the blurb, but good nonetheless. Dr D is dashing, dynamic and every other ‘d’ word to do with being ‘hot’. The story had a very good flow and I was quickly swept along for the ride. I felt the last couple of chapters were a bit rushed and lacked the detail compared to the rest of the book. A nice escape and quick afternoon read.

This was a very beautifully written romantic adventure. It has all that you could possibly want from the romance genre itself. It has the strong, independent heroine that knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go for it. Cathy Lu has been through enough of life’s hardships that she can find it difficult to trust, and that shows through her connection with Daedriel, who not only has his own demons, but fights them, or at least the darkness, too. I really enjoyed the way that the author brings to light some of Cathy’s heritage and family traditions growing up, too, certainly made me a little homesick!
Daedriel is what I would consider a brilliant yin to Cathy’s yang, as throughout the novel, their connection deepens. He is her sexy Carpenter, being there for her to improve her space and show her all that life can give to her, within the mortal world, and outside. The connection Cathy shares with this handsome seraph gives this reader hope for women everywhere, as I think it’s important to be able to balance one another. Truly, this novel kept me hooked, I enjoyed the action sequences, the curiosity it evokes, and the romance, of course, all tied in together, and I thoroughly look forward to reading the next installment in this series. Well done, certainly recommend!

I was very impressed not just by the cover of this book, but as well as the story that unfolded right before my eyes. The story had a mesmerizing take as a treat for the readers, as well as the characters and the events that happened that brought all things to life.
Personally I loved the fantasy of this story. It was real to me, and the vivid descriptions of the book really took flight in a good way. I was amaze and read. I loved the characters, the good vs. evil was very strong in this book. Loved how the author played on words with morals of the characters with what is wrong and what is right. Also, how actions we choose can and will affect our life later on. The story was a fast [aced read and impossible to put down. I was impressed and amazed. Really loved this one!
As said, I loved this book with a passion. Defiantly a must read and recommend you reading this as quick as possible. It is a rare delight, best to be enjoyed. I can not wait to see what happens next in the series. The author has now gained a new fan to their fellowship! Recommend the book and author highly!

This is the second book in this series which I enjoyed just as much as the first. I highly suggest reading the previous book before this one to help your enhancement of this series and the author’s writing skills. This is a book that pulled me in from the beginning. It is an engaging, full of action, fast paced story that was hard to put down. I enjoyed how the characters brought the story to life. The Traveler is my favorite character as he is strong and I felt for him in parts. I enjoyed his growth as well as how supportive all the characters were to each other. This is a well written story that took me on a journey of challenges and a question of who you really are. This is a great story that I really enjoyed. I highly recommend this book.
A quick read that I definitely wish was a lot longer! Even though I was left with a few questions I enjoyed the story of Dr D and Emily very much. They are wonderful characters that you really fell for very quickly. My heart broke for Desmond and the absolutely heart breaking, no win situation he is put in! I don’t want to give away any spoilers so I will just say I really hated his family and the way they treated him. Emily is a bubbly character and a truly great match for Dr D. I enjoyed this fantasy story. This is a well written story about saving the NIne Realms and lurking enemies. This is a fast paced story that kept me engaged to the end. A story that is full of adventure where the characters had me coming back for more. I enjoyed how the characters are connectable and their growth throughout the story. They pulled me into their world and made me want to know what happened next. I enjoyed the growth of the plot as it made the story entertaining and easy to read. Will everyone be saved or does fate have something else in store for them? I enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it.

This author has given us a story that is a blend of romance, fantasy, and Norse mythology. It starts off a little slow but soon gets going and entices and intrigues till the end. With a beautiful descriptive narrative, intricately woven threads, and great world-building leads to a tapestry of enjoyment. There is plenty of action, magic and emotions, desperation, sadness, happiness, and everything in between. With elves and characters of all types, this tale is one you can tell the author has put heart and soul into. This book is the first I have read by this author, and I enjoyed it immensely. I had devastating news early hours of this morning and this story was able to get me out of my head for a while. With twists and turns at every angle this is one thrilling and suspenseful tale. What would you do for love?

This series is amazing, and I find this book one of the best in the series. As far as a paranormal series, I find it has elevated what I expect when I read a paranormal. It has some of your favorite elements of a paranormal, but also has a mafia feel as well. Master Trentino is dark and delicious read with danger, intrigue, and forbidden fruit. I love the whole series, but this one exceeded my expectations!
