This was a fun, quick read. Emily is an orderly at the hospital and way too busy for a personal life. Dr Desmond Danielson, better known by Dr. D by most of the staff, was known for one night stands. He wasn’t exactly what everyone thought and neither was Emily. Would they find common ground or would she just be another knot h for him?

This book was SO GOOD! The author did a really good job in weaving this fantasy crime novel, while making it fun, engaging and hard to put down! I was drawn at first to this cover, it’s absolutely gorgeous, and honestly wasnt sure what to expect but I definitely wasn’t disappointed! The characters were very well written and had a ton of depth to them. They (and the storyline itself) were engaging and I felt like I was right there in the book with them. I have read books from this author before, but this one was so different I was shocked! It felt like reading a completely new author. This book wasn’t disappointing and I highly recommend it!
Not gonna lie. When I first started reading I didn’t think I was going to like the book. I felt uncomfortable mostly because it was a genre I’ve never read before. Being an African American woman I thought, why would I want to read about slavery romanticized? I’m glad I kept reading.
At first I thought the male love interest was grooming the slave to well be a sex slave but watching their encounter develop to an actual relationship he was willing to risk his life and fortune for was intriguing. Penny is a doll. Experiencing her character growth was fantastic.
The intimate parts are great. Like super steamy. Need to douse my eyes with holy water and beg for forgiveness. I will never look at cucumbers or picnics the same again. Definitely detailed. Does contain swearing and topics that may make you uncomfortable. The characters are well developed and the language is spot on. Everything seemed authentic to the time period. Overall it was an enjoyable book.

This book was enjoyable. Stories about angels falling in love are always a fun read because it allows individuals the opportunity to see angels as not that different than us. Cathy and Daedriel’s story was fun to read as we are taken on a journey of them finding each other and falling in love. I look forward to seeing more from this author.

This was my first read from this author and I’m definitely excited to read more. From page one I knew I’d sink right into this story and I was right. I found that I simply couldn’t put it down once I got started. There’s plenty of steam and romance but the overall storyline is great to. The characters are complex and relatable making it so easy to picture their world around you. Leslie is a character that you can’t help but root for and connect with. The chemistry between her and Trevor jumped off the pages. The author makes sure you feel this story for a long time. Four big stars and highly recommended!
Emiliana has been through so much and yet still holds her head high and carries on. Stefano himself has been through quite a lot, but Emiliana has always been his light. After she was abducted and then rescued she had changed. He keeps his distance to give her time to heal, but is always there when she needs him. When she comes face to face with danger again he vows to be there to save her, but will he be successful? So far every book in this series have been page turners. They could each be read as a stand alone, but I highly recommend reading them in order so you don’t have any questions. The way the author has written the books sets up the next installment beautifully.

Karina Kantas gave us a knockout book with the story of Gem and Shep! Characters were amazing! She spun the tale so well I spent the whole book on the edge of my seat! Her book flowed incredibly well and stayed engaging and interesting the whole way through! Great job!

This was a quick 4 star read. This novella has me looking forward to the next book in the series.
Dr. D is a pediatrician who is great with his patients and a very sweet man. He has some personal family things that he is dealing with. Emily is a nurse with a big heart, who doesn’t really have time for dating. When these two meet at a bar while out with co-workers there is an instant connection. Can these two make things work? Will they get a HEA?
We get some very hot and steamy moments. The author does a great job with her writing and pulls you right into the story, although I would have liked to see the ending not so rushed. I really liked the characters and I had some LOL moments. I loved the fish. If you’re looking for a quick fun read, 1-click and get started today.

This book had so much to offer I can’t even stand it, full of Norse mythology, fantasy, military fiction and so much more it makes your head spin. This author was just purely amazing to me, their plot line was phenomenal, the word building was incredible, and the storyline was so well put together that I just simply couldn’t put this book down. Full of action, magic, paranormal characters, a wide variety of emotions, and so much more this book has something for everyone. So if your looking for a great new fantasy novel to read this weekend then you should pick this one up today.

In the latest installment of the Mafia Elite Series we get to read the story of Elana and Marco. In keeping with the theme of the other stories you get the gist of just how much these men love their women. They would go to the ends of the earth to keep what they deem to be theirs safe. Even though Elana has been in hiding for years her cover has been blown. Where can she go and who can she turn to for help? Marco has been nursing a broken heart since he thought Elana had died. When he is presented with a marriage contract from her brother he jumped at the opportunity to bring her back to his side. Will Elana willingly go with Marco or take her chances on her own?
This was a fairly easy and quick read, I tend to love books like that. It was sexy, funny, and easy to get into. Dr. D has a reputation, although probably a tad undeserving, Emily is someone who is looked at as the “good girl”. These two have a not so cute meet cute, and despite the way they met the attraction is instant and undeniable. If you like witty and fun books you should definitely read this one!

Even though Enzo is contracted to marry another he has been in love with Sofia since they were young. Sofia always knew she was meant to be with Enzo, but when you’re part of the Mafia family things don’t always work the way you plan. When Sofia is being stalked by the same man that kidnapped his sister years earlier Enzo does everything in his power to keep her safe, but is it enough? Somehow Ivan seems to know their location even when it’s supposed to be a secret. Will they be able to find out who has been feeding him information or will it be too late?
Unlock the Angel is the first of the Seraphim Angel Order series by Calla Zae. Cathy Lu owns her own business and has decided to make expansions to here home for her business. Just coming off a breakup she decides she will work on the project herself while she is looking for a contractor. Enter Daedrial, a seraph, is on earth searching for a betrayer who just so happens to have experience in building. Daedrial offers to do the work for Cathy in exchange for her help, but doesn’t explain with what. As the two spend time together, both realize they are interested in the other. Will Daedrail’s commitment for finding the betrayer stop him from going after what he wants? Will Cathy be able to admit her feelings and pursue them? It’s worth it to find out. I absolutely loved this book. The characters are interesting and have depth. The descriptions of the worlds make you feel immersed in them yourself. I did feel there were a few things that could have had more description but I have feeling that they will probably be expanded on in the books that follow in the series. I would highly recommend reading this unique take on the Angels and their worlds.

This is the first time I’ve read anything by this author and I’m glad I took the chance. I have only read a handful of historical romances, but this is the first one that involved a slave and her owner. During those time I’m sure there were masters and slaves that did fall in love and had to hide their affections. Leon Falcon was a great no-nonsense character that did err on the side of being manipulative at times. While I did like Penny, she was nieve to many things, especially how her best friend/owner felt about her. Overall it was a well put together story. It had a great lesson in there and that is the heart wants what it wants. You can’t help who you love.
After a breakup Cathy is focusing on herself. While on vacation she ends up meeting her neighbor who turns into being an angel. They end up falling in love while the angel Daedriel is on a mission. He ends up defeating one foe and is cleaning the negative energy around them. Meanwhile opening his heart and asks if she wants to be immortal and be with him forever.

Adrijana longs for more out of life. She accepts an invitation for her and her father to stay for a celebration thinking this is the opening she has been seeking. However, she quickly learns that life is not always as it seems. Her world comes crashing down around her when she finds out her father has kept her true heritage from her since she was five years old. She has to come to grips quickly with who she is as the royal family is being murdered one by one. In a world of intrigue, secrets, and hidden agendas, Adrijana has to learn quickly who she can trust and who she cannot before it is too late! Can she learn everything about being a mesmerist fast enough to find the true killer? Or will the killer succeed in taking out the royal family?
This is my first time reading this author and I was not disappointed! The story drew me in immediately and I didn’t want to put it down. There were strange things happening to her and I HAD to know what was going on. I was drawn in by Adrijana’s vulnerability and her emotions throughout the story. The lessons she learns are hard ones, but she refuses to roll over and give up. All the characters were intriguing, and the storyline kept me guessing until the end! I hope there will be more books in this world!
Dr. Desmond Danielson has earned himself quite a reputation on the floors of the hospital he works at. He is known as Dr. D…great for one night only. Sure, he has been with quite a few women, but the nickname and the glances from coworkers make him uneasy. However, when he sees a woman at the hospital who doesn’t look at him like a piece of meat, or look at him at all really, he is intrigued.
Emily works hard, studies hard, and doesn’t have time for much else in her life. When the nurses around her start talking about this amazing Dr. D, king of the one night stands, she doesn’t know who they are talking about or believe all the hype. When she has her first encounter with Dr. D…it is not nearly as hot as everyone is expecting it to be. What does surprise her is his interest in her. But, when she gives in, and he is gone the next day, she knows she’s just another notch in his belt. What happens when they meet again down the road?!? (You’ll have to read it to find out).
This is a quick-paced book that is entertaining and grabs the reader’s attention from the beginning. Both characters were enjoyable and I liked how real they were with each other. I am a fan of this author’s other books…and this one did not disappoint. A quick that kept me turning the pages!

Enjoyed romance that was fast paced. Desmond and Emily……the characters were fantastic. Emily is strong, driven, determined and focused as she is an orderly at the hospital working on her nursing degree. Desmond, who really got my heart strings, a great and caring pediatric doctor who is all about his patients…but has a reputation with the ladies….. One night out for Emily to “let loose” she ends up meeting Doctor D in the flesh…. Lots of sizzle and spark between then and I loved every minute. The only complaint I have on this book is that I want more!!! Yes, I am being selfish but would love more of Desmond and Emily’s story to unfold.

A great short story to read. It’s different from the other romance novels out there. Noah isn’t happy when he finds out about his father changing the condition of the will. He now needs a wife in order to keep the land that’s rightfully him. Mary is living with her dad who is a drunk and doesn’t care about her. He trades her to a bad guy to pay off a debt which is how Mary and Noah get together. The agree to a marriage of convenience. Noah gets his land and Mary gets away from her dad and the bad guy. Definitely worth reading it. Such a wonderful story.

This fast passes romance story was simply amazing!!!! I found the characters incredibly endearing and relatable and although this story was short it was a fantastic fun, and realistic romance. While this story is full of some steamy and hot scenes, it also takes you on a crazy and wild roller coaster ride. Dr. D drives every woman crazy, but after Emily meets him and has dinner can she have a one night stand with him? Or will Emily be the one girl that makes Dr. D finally commit? You’ll have to read this hot, steamy novella to find out for yourself.

I thought this book was an ok quick little read. I felt the book was lacking something. It started off good…very good actually! I loved what the book was about. Dr. Desmond Danielson was a doctor in a hospital and he was dealing with a case that could mentally destroy him. His nephew was very sick. His sister took a very long time to make a decision on his care. Then there was Emily. She has heard about the infamous Dr D but has never seen him or met him until one night at a club when she is just way to wasted for anything. Emily has thought about Dr. D and he has not been able to stop thinking about her either. I feel like that was it. There was nothing really leading up to the ending. I know it was a short story but, I felt a lot was missing.

Doctor D’s Orderly Affair is part of the Doctors of Eastport General series. This is a standalone book and can be enjoyed without reading the rest of the series. I always enjoy picking up a book from this author, and this book did not disappoint. It is a short, fast read full of hot steamy doctors, humor, and a HEA. I enjoyed the main female character, Emily, and her compassion for the children at the hospital. Unfortunately, Dr. Desmond Danielson has a reputation at the hospital among the staff as the hot one-night stand. So what happens when Emily and Dr. D meet? You have to read the book to find your answer. I look forward to checking out more in this series and more from this author in the future.

I love this series! This book instantly hooked me (like I knew it would) and kept me thoroughly entertained all the way through. I felt all the emotions. I can’t wait to see what comes next in the series. Read it and read all of them you won’t be disappointed!
I really wish this book was longer! I very much enjoyed reading about Aia and Nen. Being that the story was set in ancient Japan, had magical elements and geishas made it that much more interesting to me. Aia’s sister Yui is a geisha but Aia wasn’t a full blown geisha yet and it seemed like she was just kind of in limbo with her life. A chance meeting with Nen, a swordsman changes her perspective. I loved watching Nen and Aia’s relationship grow, as well as the dangerous and magical journey they embark on to see the world. I would definitely recommend this book!

In a remote country village, seventeen-year-old Celeste yearns for excitement. When the bright lights of a distant city beckon, she makes her way there, and city folk show Celeste more of the world than she ever imagined.
But these people have their reasons to cozy up to a country teenager, because Celeste’s family carries an ancient genetic ability to track carbon emissions by sight. The trait is powerful enough to undercut Turaset’s oil industry, and the titan running that industry wants Celeste’s family killed. Soon, she realizes how out of her depth she is.

“A great and mysterious event occurred. Religious talisman came fluttering down out of the empty sky. Men dressed as women. Women dressed as men. The town’s people dancing through the village. The villagers cavorting in towns. Whole populations drunk. Orgiastic behavior in the streets and paper talismans falling from the Heavens, like cherry blossoms in the wind. The world was coming to an end. A new one was apparent.” ~ Iwakura Tomomi.
Western winds blow revolution across Japan as Emperor Meiji seeks to modernize his country. The changes, the whispers of siege and war in retaliation, sweep over Ono Aia. Her small world, wound and bound like the kimono around her body, revolves around the geishas she serves and the geisha she hopes to be.
But upheaval cannot be stopped. Aia is flung into the arms of a swordsman with obsidian eyes and a blade that can cut more than mortal flesh. His name is Nen.
At his side, not only does Aia learn of a mythical realm beyond human comprehension, she learns where her heart may truly lie. Perhaps it is not in the study and perfection of the geisha tradition. Perhaps, it beside a man larger than life. His size terrifies and thrills her. His black eyes dazzle and delight her.
But the spirits of Japanese lore could destroy man’s reality. Can the fates of the mortal and fantastical world remain in balance? Or will Aia find her heart only to lose it in the uproar?

This is the first time that I have read a book by the author and I was definitely surprised at how much I enjoyed her writing. I have been in a book slump and have been trying to find my way out of it and this book helped me along the way. The themes of the book really hit home. I felt for Cathy Lu. She was relatable and I loved to see her story play out. Then add in the sexy Angel. My oh my. This book was seriously what I needed.

As far as I am aware this was my first book by Mrs. Luana. This book is a standalone novel and was rather interesting. It combined the flare of fantasy that has become popular with just the right amount of mystery that keeps the reader interested. The characters are easy to love and you find yourself rooting for Andrijana. You can’t help yourself from wanting to see her win.

Gemma has gotten herself in a jam. If MC books with a bit of violence and rough sex are a hair much for you, you can avoid this book. If you like spice, action and page-turners, this one is for you. Gemma is working at the local grocery store. She falls for the hot racer/biker. She falls in with the gang. The plot is action packed with twists and turns. There is romance for her but it won’t come until you least expect it. The characters have tough personalities, which is what you want in an MC romance. This book had me on edge. It is part of a series but it is a stand alone. Hot mama! Definitely recommend it (not just for the spice. There is a good lesson learned in the story. I would give it more than a 5 if I could.
