My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the story of Clark and Kally, two childhood friends that grew up to be best friends. The problem they face is Clark’s family. The level of dysfunction is off the charts. Kally is tremendously strong. She faces hard struggles head on and pushes through. You can feel the love the two have for each other. I feel that Kally is my favorite. I felt everything she went through. Her growth through the story was so strong. I didn’t see the end confrontation coming and all I can is good! The characters were so well-developed, even the dysfunctional ones, such as Clarke’s family. Nancy and Jared should have been Clark’s parents. Kally’s parents left me undecided. The plot was very well-developed. Even with different POV’s, it just went on smoothly. It was a very good book that will keep you intrigued until the end. I will be eagerly awaiting the next in the series.
