I haven’t read a YA book in a while and this book was the perfect palette cleanser after all the sad books I’ve read lately. Abby Hill with her spooky talent gave me a thrilling read with an amazing never been written (that I know of) storyline. The author did a superb job with the balance between spooky and YA. It’s the first book I’ve read by this author bit definitely not the last. (Just clicked following)

This is the 3rd book in the Notebook Series. I would really recommend reading the first 2 books in the series first as they themes and characters all follow through the series. This book continues from the end of the last book. What I love about these books is how well the stories are written. You completely feel transported to the era the books are written in. The stories are a great read, they are full of mystery and murder and our main character Emma has loads more challenges to overcome, from learning to run a charity made with a donation from a wealth client to solving a mystery involving drugs, kidnapping and more. Adding to this mystery is another case brought to her by an old flame but are things as they seem? It is a thrilling read that will need the reader hooked and guessing from beginning to end. You feel captivated and transported in time which adds to the charm of this series.
I enjoyed this paranormal romance story. This is a new author for me that I enjoyed and look forward to reading more from this author in the future. I found this book to be a well written story where the author used details to make the story realistic. This is a fast paced, action and romance filled story that is hard to put down. The creative characters pulled me into the story from the start. They made the story engaging and fun to read. I enjoyed how connectable and supportive they were throughout the story. This is a story about Jason and Lily. One has been held captive for the past year and the other is biding his time until he gets out from under his father until these two meet. Now with things threatening to keep them apart, what will fate have in store for them. I enjoyed their chemistry and their growth throughout. I enjoyed how they brought the story to life and made the story for me. You don’t want to miss what happens with these two. I highly recommend this book.

I loved reading this sweet romance story. This is one of my favorites by this author. I have loved reading this author from the first book I picked up by her. She pulls you into her stories by her great writing skills as well as her attention to details. She pulls you into the story from the beginning. This book is no different. This is a well written story that is shorter but it packs a punch for sure. A story about a sweet romance between two people who are searching for love. They won’t see what fate has in store for them until it hits them. The characters are connectable and have great growth throughout the story. I also enjoyed their chemistry which made me laugh in parts. This is an easy and entertaining story that is worth the pick up. I highly recommend this book and this author.
This is not my first book by this author but I enjoyed this one just as much as the first one. This is a well written story that takes place in Chicago in 1885. Emma finds herself in a new adventure that is full of action, murder, hidden plots, and so much more. I enjoyed seeing characters from the previous books. They are strong, creative, relatable characters that made the story entertaining to read. This is a fast paced, engaging story that pulled me in from the beginning. I enjoyed the growth and chemistry of the characters and how they support each other. The author’s use of details brought the story to life and had me coming back for more. This is the third book in this series which I highly suggest reading the previous books as well. They are just as enjoyable and Emma will take you on an adventure you won’t soon forget. I really enjoyed what Emma brought to the story and I highly recommend this book.
God what a really great read! This is my first book by the author and it was intense. The storyline for Cate and Patti was incredible and when you thought you had a grip on what was going on- there was a curve ball thrown right at ya. There’s a lot of twists and surprise and it really kept me on the edge of my seat. Cate and Pattis friendship was an important facet and I am so glad I got to experience it. Im ready for another one!!

Sugar, spice and everything nice Book 3 of the series and we have Mason and Rhyann’s story. I loved the previous Titan’s books and have been patiently waiting for this instalment. I devoured it. There was the right balance of emotional drama, sexy times and storyline to keep my glued right until the end. The characters are well developed and there was a natural flow – the relationships did not feel forced. Each of the books in the series can be read as a stand-alone even though there are crossovers from each book. But, there is information in each book that gives more depth to each book. Now to wait for the next book.

I have very much enjoyed getting to know Emma Evans and her family/team. This author has hit the nail on the head again when it comes to telling a story as it pertains to different characters. The third person narrative once again steals the show, and I thoroughly enjoy the way that she focuses each chapter on a certain event/character, I find it really allows for the reader to follow the story line without feeling bombarded with a ton of information all at once. The love that has developed deeper between Emma and Jeremy is adorable, and is long-term relationship goals for me, I’ll be rooting for them all the way!
Life is full of changes, and challenges, and the ones that come up throughout this specific adventure are relatable, especially for me, and I feel like the emotions tied into the different cases that are being taken on by this team are described to a T. One of my favorite things about this series so far is that it’s never just one thing going on, and the pace is, in my opinion, perfect. Without even realizing it, you’re drawn in to help solve the cases, and try to beat them to the punch, and I absolutely love disappearing for a while into these adventures. Keep them coming, please, highly recommend reading this series!

The story is delivered flawlessly and historic era bleeds through the writing. I am thoroughly enjoying this series and totally recommend.

This was a book by a new author to me. I thought she did a really great job with this book. I did find the first couple of chapters to be a little slow, but once I got past that I couldn’t put it down. My emotions were conflicted while reading this book but in the end all that took place in the story was perfect for the ending. This was filled with romance, major bumps in the road, and a lot of humor. I found myself really rooting for the characters in the end. I wasn’t disappointed with this read and look forward to reading the next installment in the series.
Julia is forced from the man she loves into an arranged marriage with Gregory, a merciless man. A stranger offers her freedom but the price is a thirst for blood and to join the Vampire resistance.
This novel was more than expected based on the unsuspecting cover. I expected Julia to try to find a way back to Adam but this has twists and turns that I didn’t see coming.
I am so happy that this is series and I have more adventures and plot to look forward to.
It is always a great feeling when you finish a book that surprises you in a memorable way.

Oh my goodness, Emma is at it again! I love the stories of Emma and her friends. This story had me just as excited and intrigued as the first one. Emma need to figure things out with Jeremy while solving crime with Tony and her friends. Solve she does. This story is so engaging. These truly are my favorite type of stories. If you can engage me from the start and keep my attention all the way through, you have a fan for life. The characters have personality and are easy to relate to. The details are such that its easy to delve into the story and feel like you are there. Kind of like a female Sherlock Holmes story. Love this series. You should read this if you like historical mysteries and/or strong female leads. Highly recommending.
I enjoyed this science fiction story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by this author yet. This is a well written story about Arkon and Vanessa. They both have a past that has burned them and deserve another chance at love. One a skilled warrior and the other a great chef. Will fate cook up some romance for these two? I enjoyed these two characters. They pulled me into the story and kept me engaged to the end. They made the story easy and entertaining to read. They are connectable and have great growth throughout. I also enjoyed their chemistry and what they brought to the story. This is a fast paced shorter story that is so worth the pick up. I really enjoyed this story and I highly recommend it.

Calla writes a variety of genres from sci-fi, fantasy, paranormal, to contemporary romance novels. I have read a few of her books and each one is totally different to the others. This book is a Sci Fi story and the visuals she brings in her writing transports you to another place. I didn’t discover until I was three quarters of the way through that this was the fourth book in the series, but I didn’t feel like I was missing out. But I will be going back and starting at the beginning of the series because I really enjoyed this book. There is drama and suspense, danger, steamy scenes and romance. The world is well-crafted is engaging and entertaining with fully developed and endearing characters. Vanessa has a past that has left her with scars both physically and the mentally. She has just found her slice of heaven and then she meets Arkon. Arkon can’t stop thinking about one woman who helped rescue but there is something coming that may keep these two apart.

I love reading paranormal books like this and was immediately drawn in from the first page. I have not had a chance to read books by this author before and I was immersed and could not put the book down. Lily is a servant who has had a very hard life who tries to stay hidden and out of sight. Jason is the son of the alpha, meaning that he is the next in line to run the pack. Jason and Lily face some hardships and learn to work together to overcome the obstacle. I cannot wait until the second book comes out so I can know what happens in the next chapters of their lives.

I am not usually a fantasy reader, but this book was amazing. I was hooked from the beginning. The author did an awesome job with building this world for you and the characters to journey through. I am new to this series and I was not disappointed. I highly recommend this book.

I took a chance on this book. I never heard of the author before and the cover was quite unassuming. It sat on my shelf for a bit before I delved in, but, boy I wish I started sooner. This series is looking to be one of my favorites. A true classic in the making. The author’s writing style is very simple, which would be perfect for new readers. The story itself is beautifully done. There is some tough subject matter, including some pretty horrific domestic violence. I love reading about Julia and her growth and gaining of independence, and the paranormal twist is a perfect combination. I’m happy I gave this book a chance and can’t wait to read more from this author.

This is the third book of the Titans of Manhattan series, and can be read as a standalone; although I highly recommend reading the first two (they’re great). This is Mason and Ryann’s story, and it’s a wonderful story! I adore all of the characters in this whole series, but I absolutely love Mason and Ryann. The author does such a beautiful job writing about difficult subjects. I’m so glad Ryann’s character was written the way she was; she is strong and fierce yet vulnerable. And Mason… he’s perfect in so many ways. This book is awesome. It has a great flow, keeps you wanting more, has perfect characters, and the chemistry of the characters is off the charts HOT!

This was a good one!! It threw me for a moment because honestly possessions and clowns are not my thing, but it was still a fun read. For the younger crowd its a very “Are you Afraid of the Dark” feel. Abbey was a great girl and she was brave given the nature of the ghosts and spirits that surrounded her. The 80s theme music gave it different type feel a well. I am definitely going to read the first book after having read this one!

For anyone who enjoys “fated mate” werewolf books, this is a REALLY good one! Even though it follows that pretty common theme, it still manages to be engaging and interesting. There are twists and turns and plenty of steamy romance. Highly recommended, and while it can be read on its own, I would suggest reading the other books so you get to know all the characters better. I think this might be the best one of the series!

Claiming My Mate is the first book in the Wolf Hollow Pack series by Nicole Howl. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Howl, so I really didn’t know what to expect going into the story. But the beautiful cover and enticing blurb had me rushing to one-click myself a copy to dive into. It turned out to be a fairly short story (under 200pages), which a made for a very quick and easy read. It is a paranormal romance, with shifters, werewolves, fated mates, action, violence, danger, drama, duel POV’s, angst, challenges, a journey of discovery, and rebel forces causing chaos. Lily is a human captive in a werewolf kingdom- her future uncertain, with fear a constant companion. But then she encounters the prince of werewolves- and her world is turned upside down to discover he is her fated mate. With that comes more surprises that bring their own challenges. Add in a rebel uprising, danger, and dramatic developments- and this story takes an interesting turn. I liked the overall story- but I wish it had been a little longer, with a little more descriptive detail that would have allowed me more time to settle into the story- because as the story stands it felt rushed, as well as a little choppy and abrupt in places. The story also felt like it was having a bit of an ‘identity crisis’ because for the most part it was a ‘clean’ romance- but teetered on being an erotic romance with the mention of rutting/mating etc. Maybe it is just me, but I thought it would have suited the storyline to have leaned more into the sexy side of the story- unless it is meant to be aimed at young adults, but that isn’t specified. I am interested in seeing where the story/series goes from here, especially since this book ended on such a cliffhanger. Happy reading!

I was so excited to read this book. I enjoyed book 1 immensely. Getting to see more of Harry’s past lives was interesting. I really enjoyed learning about previous relationships that he had a chance to develop. His life as Small Brother both made me happy and broke my heart. It was devastating to see the way people rejected him. The component I enjoyed most in the first book was Harry’s relationship with Tristan and I was so happy to see how much of a positive impact the relationship had on Tristan and that we also got to see his life after Harry. Another book full of great characters and interesting adventures for the Traveler. I look forward to reading more of this series.

Grace and Ian took me places I was not ready to go! I cried and cried and of course I also swooned, laughed, and felt every emotion each step of the way with these two. This was truly a story of 2 people needing each other and coming together at the right time unexpectedly. The way the pieces came together blindsided me. The mystery surrounding them both and the relationship that developed unfolded beautifully. This author stole my heart with this book, and I am so happy I was along for Grace and Ian’s journey.

This book was absolutely incredible. As a new to me author, it looked interesting, but I had no idea what to expect. I was blown away. The horrible things Julia had to endure at such a young age — the author really makes you feel both for her and understand her. It is so descriptive and written with so much feeling. The story itself is so enthralling and really builds up for a fantastic series. This is the beginning of story. While it leaves you wanting more as any good series does, it has just the right amount of content to satisfy you. The realization to her that vampires are real, especially in that era, is both a fear and a relief. I think she is such a great main character and cannot wait to see what happens next in this next beginning of her life.
If you are a fan of paranormal historical fiction, this book is for you with a strong female lead, this book is for you.

This fast paced second book will leave you wanting more! It picks up right where the first book leaves off. All Seth wants to do is save Lillian instead of waiting around a week in Edenia. Can he betray Miriam to save her though? As you dive into this story you learn more about Edenia and all the secrets it holds. I love how you get to know the characters even more and their roles in the protection of Edenia. This is a fantasy read about finding yourself and forgiveness in one of the most unique stories I’ve read. I cannot wait to read the third book! This author really knows how to leave you needing more!

This novella is action packed from page one all the way through the very last word!!! Most novellas leave you feeling a little like part of the story is missing, but not this one. Jason is quiet, but strong willed and he knows his eventual place is at the front of the pack. Lily is a human servant that feels her place, brutally at times. She is to remain invisible. When the worst happens and Lily is attacked by a member of the wolf pack she is placed in the infirmary. Jason also happens to be in the infirmary and this places him in close enough proximity to realize that Lily is his mate. This instantly brings out the protector in his wolf and he is ready to face the devil himself if he has to in order to revenge his mate. The characters are well developed and while the story is a little fast paced, it makes for a very interesting read. The author did not leave out the interesting details and those read between the lines moments I love in my stories. I am excited to read book two and find out the conclusion to all the threads left untied at the end. Bravo!!! A really great beginning!

Being the third book in the series, I don’t want to give too much away with any more of a synopsis than the author gives. I had quickly made my way through the first two books and was eager to continue the journey with Van into her third year of missions. This third installment did not disappoint with the depth and growth of the first two.
D.L. Armellei does a fantastic job at balancing out the narrative so, as a reader, you can enjoy this book as a standalone or as the continuation of the series. I appreciate that even into the third book, more world-building occurs so it doesn’t just feel like a lot of repeating. As a lover of the YA and Fantasy genre, this entire series fits in perfectly alongside some of the better-known series (eg. Hunger Games, Divergent, Percy Jackson, etc.) without feeling like another stereotypical teen drama.
I would highly recommend this book as a standalone for anyone wanting to dip their toes in the YA Fantasy genre. I’d recommend the entire series to anyone who already enjoys YA and Fantasy, and is ready to step into a whole new world that tickles your senses as somehow familiar and entirely new.
