First let me start my review by saying, I love reading books by this author. If I see there’s a new book and I’m currently reading one….we’ll it gets stopped and this authors newest one gets moved to the top of my list. There’s not many authors I do that with. As always, this author did not disappoint. This book was great from beginning to end. Anyone can write a book about coworkers pretending to be engaged but, this author nailed it and it was so good.
I love Amara and Petro. They both have had a bumpy road to get where they are now and this newest assignment a a big deal. Will they be able to pull it off? I love the characters, I love the scenes, I loved it all. I wish I could give it more then 5 stars.

An enjoyable contemporary romance with a fake fiancé theme. In order to prove she’s worthy of a promotion, Amara Gabriel agrees to pretend to be engaged to her younger, handsome colleague. Petro Mikalos is the office hot shot and is ten years younger than Amara, so she doesn’t think anyone would believe they were starry-eyed fiancées planning a wedding. However, unknown to Amara, Petro has an office crush on her and so jumps at the opportunity to pose as her fake fiancé when asked by their boss. Petro has bad memories of his first wedding which ended in tragedy but he’s willing to re-live it if it means spending time with Amara. The assignment is in California, and so the couple must travel together as fiancé’s. Unfortunately Petro’s parents live there and so will expect a visit, but he haven’t spoken to his famous movie producer father in three years. He’s willing to risk it for the chance of a promotion, and to spend time with and get close to Amara. Although book five in a series it can be read as a standalone story. I’ve enjoyed the whole series and this one was just as engaging as the others. The author has a way of immersing you into the story and makes the setting and characters come to life.

This is not the first book I’ve read by the author. Depending on You is a great book and I hope this turns into a series. I want to know what happens to the characters. And it wouldn’t be a good book if the author didn’t include their love for Tom freaking Petty!
Cate has thought for the last twenty years that she killed a guy. The case is being reopened because the guy she killed had a son. When she learns her best friend has been hiding something she’s mad. The quote I chose for Cate is: “Yeah, well, maybe this is what I deserve. I killed a man. I should pay for it. It’s all I can think about. And now that his kid is involved, I think it’s time I take responsibility. I took him from his son. I had no idea he was a father.”
Patti has been hiding something from her best friend for the last twenty years. When the kid shows up she puts the pieces together. Now it’s time for her to tell the truth. Only to find out neither of the girls killed the man. The quote I chose for Patti is: “Cate, nothing happened. There’s nothing to help me with. I’m fine. Everything is fine. We take care of each other. That’s how it’s always been. Like this, you let me borrow your clothes and take a shower.”

Another great read by the author. Welcome to the Bunya Junction Series keeps you wanting more. Doctor in the Outback is a great read and I can’t wait for the next book.
Scott is now running the hospital and is experiencing his twin sister’s pregnancy symptoms. He has a thing for the new doctor, but doesn’t want to make a move on her. Afraid his past is catching up with him again. When he takes a chance it goes fine until he catches her in an act he can’t seem to let go of. The quote I chose for Scott is: “Then I’ll go to this person too. We can make this work, Franceen, because I don’t want to not try.”
Franceen loves her job although it takes a piece of her heart. Delivering Sindy’s twin girls makes her emotional wall crack. Her own past coming back to bite her in the butt. This is the first book I’ve read by the author. I will be looking for the others in the Love Grows Series. So Right is the fifth book in the series and is a fantastic read.
Amara is the assistant of the CEO and wants to be promoted. She loves her job and everything that comes with it. That’s until she’s asked to go look at a property pretending to be engaged to Petro. Her own past comes back to haunt her on the trip. The quote I chose for Amara is: “Thank you for everything, Petro. You are making this whole thing so much better than I imagined.”
Petro has moved out of California after his life went to Hell and he hasn’t been back. Now he’s being sent back to work on a project. Will it help his career or will it deter it? Can he find his happily ever after? “No, nothing like that. Well, he was very critical. He would get angry with me after I’d done something stupid or got into trouble. He’d lecture me about how I had embarrassed him, and what a loser I was, not living up to my potential. Even when I did do something right, he’d dismiss it. I guess we fell into a dynamic where I could never please him. After having been his favorite who could do no wrong, it kind of messed me up.”

This was a great reverse age gap romance read, it’s the fifth book in the Love Grows series. A series that I have not read so I can honestly say that this book can be read as a standalone as I had no difficulty reading this one.
This author had me hooked right from the get go, the connection between the main characters was so believable and with all the details written it was incredibly easy to picture everything playing out in my mind.
This author took great attention to detail which really heightened the reading experience and made the story so much more enjoyable, now that I’ve finished this book I will be diving into the first four books of the series!!

It is 1864 South Carolina and Penny is a slave so she can’t say no to him or any white man for that matter. Leon decides he’s going to buy her from her previous master because as luck would have it, he owes him money and cannot pay it back. The only thing that he has that is worth anything is his beautiful slave named Penny. Leon Falcon chooses to collect on the debt owed to him and takes Penny as his own slave.
Leon and Penny find themselves attracted to one another. The attraction that first drew Penny and Leon together becomes so much more. It doesn’t take long for Penny and Leon to realize that there is an immense force between the two of them that is stronger than either of them. They both fall head over heels in love with each other. But what will become of their relationship? It’s 1864 South Carolina and a white man can’t marry a slave. Will they ever truly be able to be together?
I loved the character of Penny because she was so down to earth, honest, and pure of heart. There was something about her that everybody just liked. Leon Falcon came across as just another rich slave master at first who was used to getting his own way. However, once you start reading more into the book you realize that there is more to Leon Falcon then you would initially think. No matter what the world threw at them, or the times being what they were, Leon and Penny found a way to be together. The bond between them could not be broken.
Be warned that this book is not for the faint of heart. There’s many explicit sex scenes throughout the book including one scene where Leon takes Penny’s virginity in a crass and cruel manner. I enjoyed most of the book and the overall love story between Leon and Penny but found this scene to be disturbing and it really put me off. If Leon truly cared for Penny, he would not have done this to her. Especially not when he had a reputation for treating his slaves well. Overall, I enjoyed the historical aspect of the book and the love story that unfolded between Penny and Leon.

This was a quick read that kept my interest all the way through. Amara is a business professional that knows what she wants in life and she’s on track to achieve it. Until her boss asks her to scout a possible business venture with another employee… posing as a couple looking for a wedding venue. Petro can’t believe his luck! He has been admiring Amara from afar for so long. And now he is posing as her fiancé for this assignment. I loved this book and highly recommend it.

This book gave me all the feels. It has two amazing characters that have been through some things in their past. It is because of these things in their past that they are hesitant to move forward with love. They then decide to face their pasts and move forward with each other. They are finding their place together when someone from one of their pasts shows up. This pushes them to decide where they are going and what they are doing together. This book has a HEA and is a quick read. I highly recommend getting lost in the Outback of Australia where all the doctors seem to be hot and there is no lack of steam. Romance, character growth, drama, trauma, and hot steamy scenes make this book a 5 star in my opinion.

Wow this is a super cute book that I could not get enough of! This is the first book that I have read that it not only had me hooked by the main characters Graham and Lara but by the lovely recipes throughout the story. As I was reading this book, I was baking along the way. The way the author wrote their stories was wonderful and they are really cute together. Both Lara and Graham are head strong and independent but mesh so well. If you enjoy super cute romances and love new baked goods recipes, then this is the book for you! I cannot wait to read more books by this author!

This is my first read from this author. If you like Hallmark-type movies and books, you should get this one. Definitely like a chick-flick and I am here for it. It gives me all the vibes of a tight-knit sister kind-of friendship that you always dream about as a girl. Cate and Patti (characters) have been like sisters, the best of friends, for life. Like most women, after the school years end, we all tend to go our separate ways. The friendship is like one of those friends that you don’t talk to for months but you always seem to pick right back up where you left off. There is a HUGE secret that bonds them for life and as adults it threatens to get leaked. That’s all I am going to say. I absolutely loved it and will probably re-read it on a cozy weekend.

Vanessa Cross is a fifteen year old with her whole future ahead of her, she has just completed the latest year of her schooling and is looking forward to summer, spending time with her friends and lounging about on the beach and maybe a couple of shopping trips, that is until the evening bonfire where she finds herself in trouble with a few other teens for attending the bonfire. Normally Vanessa is given a slap on the wrist, but this time, nothing happens and she walks home with her best friend, however, when she gets there, things are not as peaceful as they should be for the time of night and she is just sent to her room without the usual dramatics, that is until her best friend sneaks in to stay the night.

As she listens to the gossip about her father turning traitor and the effects that this has been having on the world she knew nothing about, she decides that she needs to keep her relationship with her father quiet and so requests that her best friend does the same. It is at that moment that she decides that as well as searching for this relic, she will also search for a way to prover her fathers innocence and find him at the same time, but unbeknownst to Vanessa, this project will be a task with challenges Vanessa must overcome.
Will Vanessa be able to overcome the challenges and get the information she needs to prove her fathers innocence, or will she crack under the pressure? I had not yet had the pleasure to read anything by this wonderful author, but that has officially changed. I must say I am very much hooked. I fell in love with the writing of this author, and their use of fine details and how they used words, I really felt like I time jumped. It was amazing and a beautiful read.
I loved the book and as I said the use of fine details. The use of the words really made me feel like I was in that era of time. I loved that feeling, and the book was realistic when I read as one could get truly! I really felt a connection with both Faith and Nico. They were two souls that were not out to get anyone. They have to face things, that were not easy. Something I enjoyed on this book on the realism it held, was that not everyone in the town had best interests at stake I found. I loved how the book kept you guessing and how one thing led to another. I honestly was not sure how things would turn out. Loved this!
Amazing book and I do very much highly recommend you picking this one up, it is for sure one that is worth the read. I will be for sure enjoying more by this gifted author. They crafted a book that was perfect in every which way, and I really enjoyed reading it, and I would say that you would too!

I enjoyed this romance story. It is a fast paced story that pulled me in from the beginning. It is a creative fairytale that kept me turning pages to the end. This is a newer author for me which I enjoyed their writing style as well as their attention to details. This is an entertaining story about Jeremy and Regan. Jeremy is trying to prove to his father that he can run the business and he does not need a distraction. Regan doesn’t believe in fairytales and is determined to get out of town. The problem that these two run into is each other. They never expected to find someone that would be a distraction to their goals. They are great characters that have great chemistry and growth throughout the story. They made the story feel realistic and had me coming back for more. This is an easy story to read which I really enjoyed. I highly recommend this book. It is a great pick up for sure.

Depending on you was so good, and nothing like what I was expecting. It was a story of friendship and strength and honesty. There were so many twists and every time I thought I knew what was going on another twist would happen and leave me speechless. Cate and Patti’s friendship is absolutely amazing and I loved both of them. This is the first I’ve read of the author but I loved the writing style so much that it won’t be the last.

This author does such a fantastic job of writing with this series. I have read each book in the series, which are readable as standalones. This one does not disappoint. Petra and Amara are taking a week trip to a California Inn to check it out for purchase. The hitch: they have to be fake fiancee’s for a week. Amara doesn’t think it will work because he’s younger. Can love conquer all? She’s on a side mission for her boss? The chemistry is there and part of the fun is watching them try to fight it. The details are in the story which make it feel like you are there (a little fly on the wall) if you will. The supporting characters help make the story so relatable. I would highly recommend this story.

What a wonderful story! It rolls along nicely and completely enthralled me. I was enjoying the building relationship between these two as well as the troubled pasts. Then there is the family drama that comes along. There is a lot to like about this story.
While I don’t normally enjoy age-gap romances this one is very well done. I liked that they were hesitant for more reasons than just age. This is a slower romance as the story gets set up then it takes off. It feels very believable and that makes their togetherness more sexy and hot.
Overall this is a fun, flirty and sexy story. The characters are done well and fully believable. This isn’t my first book by this author and she never lets me down.

Brilliance This is the fourth book in a brilliant series. We meet new characters and come across old ones. I just love this whole series and recommend reading the books in order. The descriptions, connections and whole storyline had me captivated from start to finish. Hope and Russ bring another mystery to the story and I could not get enough. Paranormal, romance and adventure all rolled into a wonderful package. Totally worthy read.

This is such a great, emotional paranormal romance. This story had me enthralled from the very first page. There is romance, the paranormal, and it also tackles the very real issue of abusive relationships and the toll that they take on a person. Julia finds herself in an abusive situation and struggles to make her way out of it. She will have to give up certain things for the chance to gain so much more along with a real chance at happiness. This book has me eager to read the next in this series.

This is the 5th book in the Love Grows series. Even though it is part of a series it can be read as a standalone and it is still completely enjoyable. The author does an amazing job with her characters. I like how fiesty their personalities are and also how she gives them both deep painful pasts. This to me makes the characters really come alive and explains why they are so against and unsure about what they are feeling.
Amara is a successful woman. She loves her career but is looking for ways to improve and progress. So when her boss give her the opportunity go and investigate a Inn for weddings she is excited to prove what she can do. However there’s a catch. She has to go undercover with a Petro her handsome colleague and pretend they are looking to get married. Amara doesn’t like this idea, with one failed marriage she doesn’t want to even think about it again especially not with her younger handsome colleague.
Petro has always fancied Amara but with her walls so high he has never dared to approach her. He sees this assignment as a chance to get close to her and allow her to see the real him. Pretending to be a couple seems a good idea, but what happens when pretending crosses over to being real? And will their past stop this budding relationship before it even begins?

This book was amazing and something all ages would enjoy. I have to play catch up and read book 1, but book 2 still took my breath away. The story itself is vividly told and the characters just dance through the imagination in this world that’s been created. Each character plays a critical role within the story, and as it progresses you clearly see their growth. Everyone has a story to tell, and it all brings the tale together. Seth was quite the hero and you cheer him on hoping for that happy medium of the love of a woman and the future of his his sister. So much went on within the story and from start to finish you will find yourself intertwined with the characters journey.

This book blew me away because it’s just that amazing. I got pulled in right from the very first page. It was great seeing characters from previous books in this series pop up too. Hope is in such a terrifying situation and Russ is the first real connection she’s had in such a long time that she really wants and enjoys. He isn’t just work for her and he feels that special connection that he was craving in his loneliness too. There is so much danger and action in this book that I was on the edge of my seat the whole time waiting to see what would happen next. The budding romance between Russ and Hope absolutely made me swoon and the ending was so beautiful. This is one book that you definitely won’t want to miss.

Age gap is truly one of my favorite tropes. There is something sexy yet sweet about the process of people with years between them taking that leap. This is book 5 in the series and my first read by this Author. This was a great story, and the characters were relatable and likeable. Amara and Petro were great together. The chemistry and feelings were there but they had meet in the middle finding where their love came in. Amara was concerned with Petro being younger than her, and Petro was worried that Amara would never be with a man like him. They were 2 loyal, successful, and career driven individuals. Each with a past, but also each wanting love. This was a great read and I enjoyed watching their love story unfold.

Lingering Spirits is the fourth book in the Soul Connection Series by Nikki Lynn Barrett. As I have mentioned before, I have read all the previous books in the series and loved everyone. So, I was quite excited to dive into this fourth captivating instalment. Having met Russ previously, I was quite intrigued to read his story, and as expected, Nikki Lynn Barrett kept me engrossed the whole way through. It did have a few unexpected elements, which gave the story a little extra intrigue and interest. I loved the telepathy element of the story too- that was really well done, and very believable. I loved Russ, and Hope is a really wonderful character too. I can’t wait to see where the series goes from here. Happy Reading!

Dr. Desmond Danielson works as a pediatrician in a hospital. The rumor mill is fast at work painting him as a one night then move on type. Emily is an orderly in the same hospital. She has heard all about Dr. D’s reputation. After an encounter outside of the hospital she has diner with him. Will she be just another one night or could this be the beginning of something?
I enjoyed this quick and easy read. The Characters work well together and there is some depth to the story. However, if you are looking for a quick hot and heavy this isn’t the book for you. That being said I enjoyed the story and would recommend giving it a read.

Bella-An Appalachian Love Story & Jagged Dawn-Logan’s Beginnings are the two prequels in the Logan McKenna Mystery series by Valerie Davisson. Even though these tow books are part of the Logan McKenna Mystery series, they are quite different from the mysteries I was expecting. They are more like women’s fiction with a strong emotional component. This is two stories in one. The first, Bella, takes us way back in time (50+ years) and introduces us to Norah, who is Logan’s great-grandmother; and how she meets Giovanni, the Italian immigrant who hand crafts a beautiful violin, Bella, which goes on to become the family heirloom. A sweet and interesting story. The second story Jagged Dawn comes forward in time to Logan, but set before Shattered (Book One in the series). Again, this story is more of a women’s fiction- with emotion and drama. It follows Logan through the loss of her husband and into an unknown future, following as Logan picks up the pieces to find a way to move on. Another interesting story that gives us a little more insight into Logan’s character, as well as her background story to the series.
