A Veil of Gods and Kings (Apollo Ascending Book 1) by Nicole Bailey – Review by Ashley Bertram

A Veil of Gods and Kings (Apollo Ascending, #1)A Veil of Gods and Kings by Nicole Bailey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Veil of Gods and Kings book 1 by Nicole Bailey is a wonderfully written enemies to lovers’ book about a mortal Prince (Hyacinth or Cyn for short) and a Demigod (Apollo). Apollo has not ascended and took his rightful place of God of the Sun. His Father, Zeus, is not happy and give Apollo an ultimatum, ascend now or go live with Prince Cyn for a year to shadow and learn how to become a ruler.
Of course, Cyn and Apollo didn’t get along at first but then slowly things begin to change, and these enemies start to develop other feelings than anger and frustration. This book is full of emotion, drama and love and you will not be able to put it down. I love all the characters that Nicole wrote into the book. This is a great alternative prospective on the Gods.
