Ancient Reflections: A Mythic Trilogy by Tamara Agha-Jaffar

This trilogy is intriguing. A Pomegranate and the Maiden is the story of Demeter and Persephone; Unsung Odysseys is the story of Odysseus’ return from Troy, and Gigamesh of Uruk is the story of Gilgamesh and Mesopotamian hero.

I was able to read these stories and see the similarities to the original mythology. The storytelling of Tamara Agha-Jaffar is amazing. I loved her attention to detail. The stories are seen through a woman’s view. I highly recommend these stories.
