Flame and Crystal Thorns (Fae and Crystal Thorns Book 1) by Kay L. Moody – Review by Jessica Stone

This is the first book in a spin off series, but for anyone out there who thinks this book sounds interesting and wants to just dive right in, you do not have to read the prior series to read this book and I promise it its worth the read.

Exciting,…Full of Adventure and Magic
This book can be read by itself or in relation to series. Chloe and her sister have finally settled into life outside of Faerie with her Fae brother and his family nearby. Chloe enjoying a mundane existence is kept busy providing remedies for the townspeople (nonmagical remedies) as an apothecary, However her life is about to be thrown into chaos. An unexpected visitor from her past appears suddenly, demanding Chloe’s return to Faire to save her older sister and all Fae. The danger comes from mortals using iron to trap the Fae in their kingdoms and their poison began affecting the human realm. Can Chloe save her sister kingdom and all of Fae kind?

I genuinely enjoyed this book, it does end in a cliffhanger, so I’m patiently awaiting the next book. I am also now going to go back and read the series before this, I have a feeling I’m going to really enjoy the previous episode series.

All and all a wonderful magical and supernatural themed book, with anything but your typical main character.
