The Killer Jack Mystery (The J.D. Pierson Case Files) by C.H. Sessums – Review by Elizabeth Rose

The Killer Jack Mystery (The J.D. Pierson Case Files)The Killer Jack Mystery by C.H. Sessums
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When her dad’s PI business is going under and he’s not available to work, Jenny has a decision to make- let it go under or step in and take matters into her own hands. It’s a no-brainer, right? But it’s 1936 in Tyler, Texas, and Jenny doesn’t have her credentialed paperwork to work as a PI.

This book was an absolute joy to read. It’s a warm, historical mystery with great character development. The author did an awesome job describing the scenery, buildings, people, etc and helps you feel like you’re right there with them on their journey. I quickly became invested in the story, caring what happened to characters. This, to me, is the sign of a well written book. Can’t wait to read more in this series.
