I came into this series backwards and while it didn’t effect how much i enjoyed this book, I do wish I had read them in order. This authors writing style wad incredible, the storyline was incredibly interesting, and the characters were amazing. But the chemistry between the characters is what really drew me in, along with the beautiful front cover. So don’t miss out on this amazing series.

Anne is a strong voice to end drugs on the street and educate kids on a better way and give them better options in life. Someone is trying to destroy all her work. However when she ends up at the doctor feeling unwell and reccomended for b12 shots her world is turned upside down with sabotage and secrets. Josh and Grant, DEA agents have been working a case for months in this same community. Grant has personal ties with Anne and they are close friends so when she’s dragged into the case they are working it’s personal. This book had a stunning end you just don’t see coming. I generally predict endings long before they happen and this one left my jaw hanging open. Highly reccomended!

When I read the description it was not my typical read but wanted to give it a try and I am happy I did. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I really enjoyed the storyline. If you like thrillers and unpredictable plot twists this book is for you. You will not be able to put this down while trying to figure out who is behind the drug overdoses. Grant and Josh are DEA agents tasked with piecing together a string of overdoses involving the very people fighting to stop overdoses. Anne, who is attempting to rid the streets of drugs gets entangled with the very drug she is trying to get off the streets. When it becomes personal for Grant he will do everything to put the mastermind behind bars. If thrillers, crime, and on-the-edge-of-your-seat books are your thing this book is for you! I can’t wait to pick up the next book by this author.

This is the first book by Hammond that I picked up and I have to say it is worth the read. The characters were well developed. The story line was easy to follow, flowed well, and pulled you into the story. The story was also very realistic and believable. I truly enjoyed the book and can’t wait to see what comes next from Haymond.

The fact that the Queen of Hearts wants to put a stop to abusive/cheating men, makes this story even more amazing. This is the first book that I have read from this author, and I was not disappointed. I could not resist reading this book much less able to put it down long enough to feed myself. This fast-paced story had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I was captured at the very beginning of the first page and did not stop reading until the last page was finished. We all know the nursery rhyme, now read the author’s story. The characters are believable and alive that it makes you feel like they are your friends in real life sitting next to you. All I can say is taking the chance on this author; you won’t regret it.
Isabella, Bride of Ohio is a historical fiction story of a Swedish girl who recently moved to America. Her family moved in hopes of improving their life. The trip to the U.S. was a hard one and sickness took Isabella’s family and left her on her own. Just as she started to get back on her feet events once again changed everything for her and left her struggling to find a living and yearning for something that will last. The answer to her problems? A mail order bride advertisement. In hopes of finding a little home in the country and something of permanence to build her life on, she signs up to be a mail order bride and soon finds a man that seems to have everything she hopes for. A stable position and a nice house in the country where she can take walks and enjoy the garden. Isabella strikes out on her own once again to meet the man and see if they build a life together. I really enjoyed this book. It was a great story and it kept you guessing. Every time I thought I knew what was going to happen, the story took another turn. I am a big fan of historical fiction and have read many mail order bride stories. I can usually guess what is coming long before it happens, but this story took some turns that had me pleasantly surprised. The only thing I didn’t like, and my reason for taking away a star, is that while the book is supposed to take place in the 1800s, there were little things that didn’t follow that timeline. Part of the enjoyment of a historical fiction book is seeing the difference in how they had to do things before they had the luxuries that we have. This story has the main character tum rning on the faucet to run a hot bath as if it was the norm, but indoor plumbing, while it did exist, was not common practice until around 1920. Other than my nit picking about these little things, this story was fantastic and I would definitely recommend it.

What an explosive and forbidden story. This is the first book that I have read from the author, and I was not disappointed. I was completely and utterly hooked on the book right from the beginning and loved every second about it. It’s very intriguing and the mystery really draws you in. The characters are what really makes the story come alive. The author has done an amazing job of creating the story. It is well written and the development throughout the book is amazing. I loved how she portrayed the characters and the journey they are on. I’m excited to see where the author takes the story as she continues the series.

This is the first book that I have read from the author, and I really enjoyed the read. Anyone who is really loves romance novels this is the book for you. And someone just beneath the surface, watching their every move… Quimby Grove, Pennsylvania is the perfect place for a fresh start. This is book 6 in the Lord Hani Mysteries series. I have read another one of this author’s series before, and I love the way she writes! N.L. Holmes is an archaeologist and her knowledge brings so much to the stories, not to mention her writing style is amazing. In childhood, I had a fascination with ancient Egypt. Traveling back in time with Hani is effortless. You will get caught up in the characters and their stories. This is a great historical mystery that hooked me from the beginning!

Nolen starts off as the little brother of the next Alpha that’s bullied by his pack because he’s small and appears to be weak. When his brother Archer is killed the title of next Alpha falls to Nolen and he is sent off to train with the wolves of an ally pack. As the reader, we get to follow along as Nolen’s strength is tested and he matures into the alpha wolf he is supposed to be. This story is told by two separate point of views and the other narrator is Amora, the ally pack’s alpha’s daughter. She is drawn to Nolen from the day he arrives and sees in him everything she wants as they grow up together. As Amora’s older brother Sawyer and Nolen become great friends as time carries on, she struggles to reign in her emotions and keep her feelings a secret. I enjoyed the characters and the whole world of this book. This story spans a lot of years which was surprising for how short it was. Despite it being short in pages, it is filled with adventure and really does feel quite complete all on its own.

What an amazing book that helps explain about adoption. The author does a wonderful job of writing about this subject. The characters are good and the subject matter is handled really well. I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting to explain to their child that they are adopted. The book has a very creative and unique style and the characters are very natural.
This is just a great example of how the adopted child might feel and what questions maybe on their minds. It can be a difficult conversation to have for parents and I feel that this book maybe just an easier or creative way to try and have the talk. The author really has brought the characters to life as well with a very imaginative writing style. I would definitely read more from this author in future.

I finished this book in just a few hours it was that good! Nolen was the second alpha heir in his family, and he was bullied because of that. His brother ends up killed when Nolen was only a teen. Dark, Spicy, Edge-of-Your-Seat Suspense…this book has it all. I was hooked from the blurb of the book and Lang Johnson just kept pulling me in. This is definitely not a book for the faint-of-heart. There are lies, betrayals, *spicy* times, love, hurt, anger, and so much more. I loved how Johnson developed Sera’s character and made her this total badass who knows want she wants and goes and gets it. She is smart, feisty, sexy, and knows how to use each of those to her advantage. Cassius is my favorite type of character…broken and flawed, but not ready to give up on the world yet. He’s kind and loving and is a genuinely good guy. I love the banter between Sera and Cassius as they are figuring each other out and what they mean to one another. Johnson’s plot development is also *chef’s kiss* amazing. It was a very fast-paced novel, but it never felt rushed. The drama and action sequences were done extremely well, as were the spicy portions of the book. Lang Johnson is definitely an author I will be putting on my To-Read list. I highly recommend this book!

Penelope and Nick suffered a huge loss as children and my heart broke for them and Nick bears scars of it and Mia comes to his aid and Mia noticed her tenderness ❣️

This was a wonderful read! This story about two DEA agents trying to bring down a drug lord is fast-paced and action-packed. You don’t have to wait for the action to begin; the book starts off with a bang. The book is a page-turner. The dynamics between the characters are well-written. The book has great Christian themes and is very inspirational. I think people from all walks would enjoy this book. Clean and exciting!

Omg this was such an inspiring and emotional story. I have dealt with the loss of a pet myself and currently have a dog who is also my baby. I felt every emotion that the author went through in the love for Kingsley and their fight to keep him with them for as long as possible. It was hard to read about their journey and the hard decisions and heartache they had to endure but it is a story that i can relate to. One thing that comes through strong is the love that the author had for Kingsley, that they were prepared to fight as hard as possible to save him but at the same time loved him enough to know when it was time to let him go. I also loved reading about the signs and dreams the author had. I am a firm believer that loved ones that have passed use our dreams to visit us and its such a comfort. I am so pleased that there are signs that Kingsley is still around them and watching over them. This story is beautifully written and deals with the subject of grief in a beautiful and inspiring way. Losing a pet is just as hard as losing a family member because at the end of the day they are family and the pain and grief we feel when we lose them is just as strong and real as if we lost a human family member.

I really liked the 3rd installment of this series. The thing that was kind of disappointing was I felt the issue with the Matron from the first book was left unresolved, I kept waiting for something to happen. I did enjoy the final confrontation with the coalition. The old Vampires on the council were sick, and the way they treated half bloods, and the vampire women was just terrible. The ending was awesome, I liked the battle and the look into the future right after the battle, and how all their lives turned out. I do look forward to more books from this author.

Epic! What a great second book to the Donovan Trait series. I am in love with this unknown island with nuns that have the power to shield everyone from their location and information. Sounds like a good solid place to be. I am so happy that Shirley was safe and the babies were safe upon delivery, it is sad to think the vampire coalition lied to all vampires for centuries. Donovan’s family is amazing, rallying around him and Shirley to sand up against the coalition and let them know they are in the wrong. The ending left me dying for more! I can not wait until book three. I also hope to see if anything comes of the matron from the first book that tried to kill Shirley and Donovan. I am so obsessed with this series right now!

This is a very quick read romance that was very relatable. The characters were also so lovable. Bree has been hurt by love many times and because of this she has created a list of rules to help her from being hurt. She is waiting on the physical aspect of relationships until she truly knows someone. She has rules about what counts for dates. But her number one rule is that she is not going to date any more jocks. That is her normal type and she has been hurt so many times that she has decided that all jocks are meant to hurt her. Bree first meets Nate when she is picking up her take out order of Chinese food. He has ordered the same thing and he lets her take his order. The initial attraction is undeniable, but Bree has ruled out all jocks, so he is off limits. Nate reappears at her tennis club, something new she is trying to meet men. She becomes her tennis partner and their chemistry is completely undeniable. She continues to put him in the friend zone and dates a series of men that meet her lists of qualifications. However, Nate stays in the sidelines supporting her after each failed date and just as a steady support system. Is is possible that Nate might be worth breaking her no jocks rule for? Is is possible that her type is Nate? Might she have finally met her perfect match? This book was so very good. My only complaint is that the last few chapters seemed very rushed. I would have loved to have spent even more time with Bree and Nate and the complexities of their lives. I cannot recommend this book enough.

I love this book! Not only is there steamy romance there is murder and mystery. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Donovan and Shirley try to figure out who is out to kill them. I liked the twist on vampire history, it is not your standard, vampires drink blood, there is science involved that has helped vampires evolve and I found that intriguing. The ending was left open, and I can’t wait to get to the next book to see what becomes of the high society matron and to see how Donovan and Shirley’s lives progress. I am also hopeful that Donovan’s sister Marilyn has a better go in the next book.

When I first read the synopsis for this book I was really intrigued, it sounded like a book that would have me guessing all the way through and I wasn’t mistaken! This was such a good read, with some great twist and turns and a really interested story line I was really invested in what I was reading and my attention was captured from beginning to end. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I can definitely say it won’t be the last, I’m looking forward to exploring more of her work. With a fast paced and exciting storyline, along with great characters, Premeditated is definitely a book that I would recommend to other readers.

Having already faced a lot of tragedy in her life and hearing her grandmother’s warning about how bad things happen in 3’s, Isabella is a little apprehensive about this trip to Ohio to meet her likely future husband. He sounds great on paper…has the perfect house, a great job, good life goals…everything a girl who had nothing could desire. Will this be her picture perfect marriage?
I love reading mail-order bride books!! They are some of my favorites. In a way, I liken it to a more modern trend of internet-brides….one of which I am! I met my husband online and we dated for a short time in real life before marrying. I went through similar emotions that Isabella experienced, only in a more modern time frame for sure.
There were a couple of unexpected twists in this book but ones that made the story much more relatable and realistic. The characters were very well developed and likeable (well, most of them were…). I understand that this book is part of a 50 book series. I’ll have to read some of the others in this series!

What a truly lovely and heart-warming story. This is such a great way highlighting the feelings adoption can bring up. It shows that it is a normal situation and helps kids to understand it a little more. Even beyond that the story itself is just enjoyable. My daughter loved reading it and I found it to be engaging enough for me to enjoy it with her. This author isn’t one I had read until recently but she is definitely becoming a favourite in our household.

No Pistol Tastes the Same (PTSD Disaster Book 1) by Jacob Paul Patchen. This is my first book by this author but it won’t be my last. I loved this book. It was so very emotional. Its the story of Sergeant JP Grimm who has watched many of his friends die. The child in the suicide vest reminded him so much of his son. When he returns to his wife and son things are not the same. His relationship with his son is totally different. His relationship with his wife is falling apart. JP is shutting everyone and everything out. The guilt and shame he has after seeing his whole troop die is indescribable. This story is filled with so much emotion. Living with PTSD must be horrific. Will he be able to put his life back together or will he lose everything he cares about. Can he patch up things with his son? Will he be able to let his wife in so they can repair the damage done? This book was so good I didn’t want to put it down when I started reading it.

What a sweet story! It got me hooked when the setting included a bookstore – Starlight Books! The characters are likeable. Ellawyn, Beckett, Max and Benji are the kind of people I’d like to hang out with. A love story with some twists and turns set in a small town where community looks after one another. While Ella and Beck are the main characters, I was drawn most to Benji. His personality, desire for Ella and Beck to hit it off and the way he faced his illness made me want to go be by his side throughout the story. I do wish that the story went a little slower – things heated up way too fast for the real world. But all in all, this is a great summer read with a little romance, lots of emotions, and great friendships.

After reading this book, I found myself tearing up for Alli and family, which includes Kingsley. Our animals are part of the family. He was her baby and when he was diagnosed with Cancer that was heartbreaking. Sharing her vulnerability about having to make decisions about his care and not being able to discuss them takes a lot. I appreciate her sharing all that. Opening her heart and her family with the world may help others. She went through so many struggles during this time. The extra 9 months she got with Kingsley gave them both some quality time to spend together. This is a book I’ll treasure. It is sad yet heartwarming. Lessons can be learned from heartbreak. Kingsley taught so much in his short life.

This book is the third book in the series. This is one of my series. It is unique, original and very engaging. I am a fan of all things Celtic. I usually have to have a dictionary near me to look up some of the words used but then I’m learning new things (educational 🙂 win/win). The characters are so full of personality. Not only do the accents crack you up but the fact that they are time travelers make it so unique that you can’t put the story down, you have to know what’s going to happen next. The author does such a wonderful job of researching the history and incorporating it into the story. Fresh and engaging, this story is still fantastic. The drama will keep you on the edge of your seat. What will happen? You are going to have to read to find out. I was thrilled to see there will be another coming after this. Still a favorite series. I will always recommend. Can be read as standalone or in series order.
