Paige and the Reluctant Artist by Darci Garcia. This was such a good read. Its the story of Paige Lisgon a Art Curator at a fancy Manhattan art gallery. She seems to be on her way to being an up and coming painter. One thing standing in her way is a rancher in Montana who she needs to create some pieces for her gallery. Mark Richards is very happy running his horse ranch, Caramel Ranch in Montana. He sure doesn’t need some city slicker (even if she is beautiful) telling him what he needs to do. When Paige offers him something he can’t refuse she packs up and moves to Montana. Will they be able to work together and both get what they want. Will they end up being able to make a relationship between two total opposites work. Read this fun city girl and country guy romance to find out!

Let me first start off by saying that this book was just as amazing as I had hoped it would be. When I first saw the cover of this book I knew right away that I had to pick it up and devour it. This is the second novel in this series and I cannot even begin to express how good this series is. This story was dark, intense, full of paranormal romance and so much more. I personally can’t wait to see what this author and series gives us next.

Brazeau – Review by stephanie nicole
After having read the first book in this series and falling in love with the characters I knew I just had to read this one as well. Boy was I right in picking up this book. It was amazing from cover to cover. The story builds nicely off the first book in the series and we meet a new potential couple, as long as the cards fall right.
From book one we know Greer, Theron’s love, is in the underworld and until her return Theron has been keeping busy hunting the other vampires in the city. Desiree, who was one of the casket girls, has trained hard to fight alongside him to eliminate the vampires from New Orleans. In walks Jaxon, one of these vampires, who wants to change. He wants Theron to teach him how to control the bloodlust and survive without draining innocents. As they work as a team to kill off the vampires Desiree and Jaxon start catching feelings towards each other. Can they have the same perfect love story that Greer and Theron have? What happens when someone from Jaxon’s past comes back to have him in her life? Can Jaxon and Desiree overcome the mistress to find their own peace?
This book was amazing if not even better than the first book in this series. I love all the new characters that are introduced and how the author weaves them brilliantly into the story. I love how it builds on the previous series while featuring a different couple’s story. If you haven’t read the first definitely do that and then your second item on your to do list should be to read this book too. If you love paranormal romances with some mystery and intrigue then this is the perfect read for you. Though I would avoid reading it late at night as this could cause you to lose valuable hours of sleep.

Although a delightfully predictable romance, there are some surprises thrown in. The author does a good job with character development. Readers are exposed to the art gallery scene in New York City. Readers are also introduced to the rugged west. Animal care is featured heavily in this book.

Twilight’s Spy (Twilight Realm Trilogy Book 1.5) by K.M. Wray 4 Stars
This is a wonderful young adult adventure filled with elves, dragons and magic. Yarissa is a spy that’s sent to the Night Realm to get word to the king. This realm has its own dangers and doesn’t take kindly to outsiders. After tragedy hits, she is left on her own to finish the assignment. Yarissa discovers many things about herself and her growth is amazing. She is strong and determined which is great qualities in a female lead character. Although the story is short and ends on a cliffhanger, it fits perfectly between book one and two of the series. It’s a captivating and interesting story.

Undeniable is book 2 in the Central Florida Stories series. Kurt and Arely are two people that met years ago but nothing came of it. They are now reunited by a danger that Arely is facing. This is action-packed, steamy, and filled with twists. You can read this book as a stand-alone. The characters and story are just as well-written as in the first book. I really enjoyed following Kurt and Arely on these adventures. They are a lovely couple that benefits each other. Another must-read story.

WOW I could not put this book down! I had not read a book by this author before, and I am glad I did because this was one of the best books that I have read in a long time! This book revolves around Paige and Mark. Paige is a curator at an art gallery who has just found her newest client who paints the most magnificent paintings that she has seen in a long time and travels to his home to try and convince him to paint more pieces because she sees the potential. Mark is a man who owns a large estate where he saves horses and leads a semi-normal life kept to himself after suffering a great tragedy when he was younger. When these two collide, SPARKS LITERALLY FLY, and they cannot stay away from one another. I felt as though I was right there with them when I was reading this book! I had to tear myself away from the book so that I could get work done. If you love good wholesome romances, then this is the next great book to read!!

An enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance which had me happily turning the pages. Paige Liston, is a curator at a posh uptown art gallery, and she believes she’s found the next ‘great phenom painter’. However, the artist, Mark Richards lives in Helena, Montana, meaning she will have to leave behind her ultra modern apartment in Manhattan, in order to convince Mark to create pieces for her gallery. Mark is the owner of Carmel Ranch and he rescues horses, and so is not immediately interested in painting for the gallery, until Paige makes him an offer he can’t refuse. Although the couple have instant chemistry it’s not until they are spending more time together on the Ranch that their relationship develops, but having to navigate life and their careers it’s not guaranteed they will get a HEA. This was a heartwarming romance with two very likeable and relatable main characters in Paige and Mark. Their instant attraction came across in the narrative, and I liked how their relationship developed throughout the story. The setting came alive through the descriptive narrative and I felt immersed in life on the Montana Ranch.

Deception is a story about a Marine named Joe seeking revenge against Hunter because he thinks she caused his friend’s death. As they get to know each other, they realize there is more to each other than meets the eye. This book is a page-turner for sure. It takes a while to warm up to the main characters but I really enjoyed them once I did. There is an excellent rapport between Hunter and Joe. I also really enjoyed the supporting characters. A very enjoyable story for sure.

I forgot how much I loved the first book until I read this one.(Book 1.5). This book hooked me from the first line. Yarissa’s is a young elf hellbent on joining the elite branch after finishing her training. She believes that’s the best way to prevent the events of the first book (if you haven’t read it yet please do) from happening again. Through a mission asked of her by the king of Twilight himself, she learns that there may be others ways to serve and protect the kingdom. She learns more about her power, strength, and herself as the story unfolds. It’s action packed with a hint of romance. Definitely a good read. I cannot wait for book 2 to come out.

I enjoyed reading this romance story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her. One of the things I enjoy about this author is her writing skills and her attention to details that bring her stories to life. Her stories are realistic and make me feel as if I am with the characters. This book is no different. This is a well written story where the past comes crashing into the present and leaves you no place to hide. This is a story that is full of action and romance. It is a hard to put down story that keeps you coming back for more. I enjoyed how the characters were able to pull me into the story. They are connectable, strong and supportive of each other. I enjoyed watching their growth throughout as well. This is a great story that is fun, easy and entertaining to read. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Desiree is one of the Casket Girls of New Orleans, or she was, now it is just a name and thanks to the discoveries made a few weeks previously when she was freed from a trap she knew nothing about, but now, she knows why and that is because of vampires and now she believes that they all must die in order for her to feel safe again. This is why she has been training so that she can become stronger and help those who cannot help themselves, she is not the type to just sit around and hope for the best, so she has convinced Theron to train her so that she can rid New Orleans of the last of the nest which fed off of them, Theron agrees to this and so while they wait for his true love to return from the Underworld, they make plans.
Jaxon is a vampire and was part of the nest associated with the Casket Girls, however, he never could stomach the idea of killing his Girl, or her husband, so he left to try and make some sort of life for himself, however, when he sees Theron and Desiree killing the rest of his nest, he sees a chance to redeem himself and asks to join them in their hunt. Neither Desiree nor Theron truly trust him, but they are willing to have his help, but when they find the rest of the nest, it isn’t only vampires that they find, a figure from Jaxon’s past is there as well, someone he knew only as the Mistress and it freezes him on the spot as the memories of his time with her assault him.
As soon as she disappears, Theron and Desiree demand to know what happened and so they go back to the mansion and Jaxon reveals what he can, this brings up feeling he thought had all but disappeared, including matters of the heart. Theron decides to find out more about the Mistress and in his quest for fact finding discovers that she is a witch and a powerful one at that, so he tries to find out a way to defeat her, in the meantime, Jaxon is having to fight his feelings for Desiree and the attraction he feels building, especially when Desiree herself says they have no future together because of his vampiric nature.
As the days pass and the plan to defeat the Mistress is being hatched, they all realise that her end game is Jaxon, she wants him back at all costs and will do anything to achieve this goal, but will Jaxon be able to hold his own against this formidable opponent and gain the freedom he so truly desires, or will he be denied the one thing which is changing him for the better? This is another fast paced fantasy where good and evil are pitted against each other in another battle for New Orleans where strong adversaries fight it out for supremacy and the right to love, where you are pulled along an action packed path with them.

I enjoyed reading this young adult story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites so far. This is a mystery that takes place in a secret lab. Cora finds herself in the middle of a mystery that could mean danger for her or even her life. This is a well written story that is full of mystery, secrets and a race against time to solve the mystery. Cora is a great character that I enjoyed. She is a strong, supportive character that made the story for me. I enjoyed how the author’s use of details made me feel as if I was part of the story. I also enjoyed the growth of the characters as well as the plot. This is a fast paced story that is hard to put down. An engaging story that I really enjoyed reading. You don’t want to miss what happens to Cora. I highly recommend this book.

I really enjoyed this story. I think it’s one of those stories I could reread over and over again. It would definitely make a good “Hallmark Movie” or “Lifetime Movie “. I liked that the author used the language of the characters. I had to do some research on the meaning and pronunciation but it added some authenticity to the story that I really liked. I don’t wanna give anything away so I won’t say exactly what it is but there were little surprises at the end of some of the chapters that I really really enjoyed. This was the first book I read by this author and it was really really good! This story jumps right in and keeps you entranced and wanting to know what happens. Roxanne had some trauma she is still trying to process and Claudette may be just what she needs to help her heal. Really they need each other and they just click from the start. This story is definitely intense and I totally did not expect the ending! I literally gasped when secrets were revealed and just so surprised at the plot twist. Its definitely worth the read!

This book was intriguing from the very beginning. Greer, one of the main characters, is taken forcefully from her home and wakes up on a boat half starved and dirty. The only thing she remembers is a dream of a handsome man who is in the dark not fully seen.
Once docked, Greer finds out that she is a part of a group of women sent to a convent to live their days before an arranged man comes to take them away for marriage. Most women are there willingly. During the night, Greer has another dream about the man she deemed her “Dark Knight”. Coincidentally, another woman had a similar dream with a man visiting her whilst she slept as well.
Suspicion sets in and Greer tries to wake up when she feels the man’s presence once more. Sure enough, he is real. As well as countless other men visiting the other women’s cots. The women who have been having nightly visitors are starting to get sick. Greer finds out that these men are vampires and they have been feeding off of the women making them weaker.
Theron, the man Greer deemed as her Dark Knight, is actually a demon cast out by Hades to live his remaining life as one of the soulless vampires. He was once ruthless and had no remorse. After meeting Greer, all that seemed to change. He is attracted to her somehow which he doesn’t understand. Theron lets Greer into the light of the supernatural beings around her. Theron knows that they cannot be but that doesn’t stop them from trying.
I really enjoyed the book. Greer is a headstrong woman who took her life into her own hands regardless out the outcome.

Love in the Roses is a historical romance by TL Clark. This book is set in medieval times. Ms. Clark did an amazing job with attention to detail. In this book, she had drama, politics, arranged marriage, and cultural aspects of medieval times. The characters are fully developed and complicated. It was an awesome idea to have a glossary at the end of the book. This assisted me with a few of the concepts a few times. Will the arrange marriage and the culture that goes along with that? I highly recommend this book to find out how everything ends up. Make sure you have time to read the entire book in one sitting.

The author has created such a clever and twisted story. I couldn’t have stopped reading even if I tried. The characters were just amazing. I thought they were perfect for the story and foe each other. The played off each so well and I was captivated by them. This is a new author to me and I am so pleased to have discovered their work. This book was really good! It kept me entertained and I love how the author wraps the mystery around Nikola Tesla and his research, making connections with the competition with Edison. It helps drive in the setting and adds tension to the mystery, as well. The characters seemed lifelike and nothing seemed over-the-top in terms of appropriate behavior for the time. I had an inkling of who the culprit was part way through but did not have all of the pieces put together before it was revealed. I really enjoyed how all of the pieces fell into place.

This author did not disappoint! I definitely recommend reading the first book so you have some back story to the realms. The stories are well written so you can picture everything as you are reading. Yarissa is a fierce character especially after she realizes her strength. In the beginning she thinks she knows where she belongs but goes on a mission only to realize she may have been wrong. This story has some new characters that you aren’t sure if Yarissa should trust. She’s still young by elf standards and does a lot of growing throughout the story. I’m really glad the author did this in between story. I can’t wait to read book 2 to see where the story goes for the Twilight Realm!
This book was such a great read! You’ve got adventures, romance, friendships, enemies, and more! Elle is an orphan on Earth, when one day, she finds out she’s a princess from a totally different planet. She wasn’t sure whether to believe it or not, but the evidence was there. She ended up leaving with Locan to get to her home and possible throne. Her uncle is evil and needs to be dealt with! Please take a read!

Ahhhh. I expected just a love story. This was so much more. As a social worker I loved the focus on mental health, especially focused on a male character. Another favorite of mine was how the couple started out as friends. Things usually start in love stories hot and heavy, but these two characters develop beautiful.
This gave me a bit of Chicago Fire feels. Can’t wait to read more in the series!

Paige is a curator who loves her job. She always felt she had to make herself into someone everyone loved and wanted to be a part of. She finds a lovely painting that gas her finding Mark, a cowboy rancher, to make beautiful paintings for her jobs gallery. Unfortunately, he keeps refusing till an offer is made. Paige ends up moving there to help move things along. More ends up happening that you’ll need to read about. It’s just a great book!

To be a Fae Guardian (Realm Chronicles Book 2) Audio Book
By Tricia Copeland
5 stars
This was a fantastic audio book and one that I really enjoyed listening to. The authors writing together with the wonderful narration really brought this story to life. I could easily imagine everything that I was listening to. The character Tatiana was so amazing – I loved listening to her story. I really felt her emotions at times and I felt really connected to her as a character. The author did an amazing job with creating the fantasy land that this series takes place in and her wonderful attention to detail makes it so believable to read. I would highly recommend this audio book and I can’t wait to listen to more from this author in the future!

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by this author, but it is the best. Immediately, the reader is pulled into the story, as the lead protagonist goes to find the culprit behind Tesla’s missing documents. An incredibly fast-paced book that you won’t be able to put down. Anyone who knows me knows I love history, and I love fiction books. I’ve read plenty of historical fiction, but I think this is probably my new favorite. I hope to see more books like this from this author, and they’ll be added to my collection in a heartbeat.

The Detail is the perfect amount of suspense and romance, not only does Dana captivate you with this suspenseful thriller she also gives sexual tension. This book is a quick read but definitely a page turner.
Jessica is trying everything she can to track down this killer, with the help of her very attractive partner Seth. Right when they were going to confront their attraction for each other Jessica goes missing as well as Seth’s prisoner “the killer”.
I really liked this mixture of the two book genres coming together, more often than not romance and suspense thriller don’t collide like this and I enjoyed it.
