This is the first book in this series and it start off very strong from the start i was hooked. Fitz is extremely likelabke and this book has so many twist and turns it gives your a shock. It does contain some graphic information such as BDSM and violence. Lots of intriguing to keep you guessing and reading through different pov made it a very interesting read.

This is the 2nd book in the Astoria Bay Thunder Series. I’m a huge sucker for a hockey romance since reading Helena Hunting’s Pucked Series and I loved the first book in this series and was so glad to finally get to read Bridger and Tia’s story. As this book is written in the same timeframe as the first book in the series we had seen Bridger and Tia in action before and I was so looking forward to getting their full story. Also with the same time frame it was great to re-live Levi and Brynn all over again and be reminded of their amazing story. I had adored Bridger in the first book and it was great getting to know the real him, not the Bridger that the outside world sees. He’s actually a very sweet adorable guy under the tough hockey enforcer exterior and I loved reading his and Tia’s story. As feisty as Tia comes across there’s a wounded, damaged young woman underneath just needing the right person to make her whole again. Definitely worth the 5 stars I’m giving it and I’m looking forward to getting to know more of the Astoria Bay Thunder guys sometime soon.

This wonderfully written novel had me hooked from page one and I felt completely immersed in the storyline. Roxanne Ferris is recovering from a personal tragedy when she decides to take a summer job as a caregiver to the bestselling author Claudette Grayson. The ailing author wants to spend the time she has left in the house she’s so fond of. The pair bond over Claudette’s enchanting stories of fictional characters, and it gives Roxanne the perfect escape from her haunting memories. However, when these characters start to feel so real that Roxanne not only sees one of the fictitious characters in the house, but actually speaks with him, she starts to question her sanity. As Roxanne tries to discover who the mysterious stranger is, the summer could either bring her peace and closure or destroy the remains of both women’s tormented minds. The descriptive narrative really brought the atmospheric and at times claustrophobic feeling of the house to life. The characters were intriguing and I felt engaged with both Roxanne and Claudette, and I really felt for both of them due to the tragedies they had faced. The storyline flowed well and had plenty of plot twists to keep me guessing as to the outcome of the story. I found this to be a gripping read and one which I had trouble putting down.

Divorced and finally free Brynn meets an unlikely friend at a child’s birthday she is photographing. This friend launches her into Thunder territory where she runs into Luke aka her first love. However, Bryan has been burned more then once and isn’t about to let her guard down…..or is she? This book is a rollercoaster of feelings and super relatable…..I mean minus the pro hockey team. I fully recommend this book.

I’ll be honest this book started out slow and I wasn’t sure I would enjoy it. Then the chemistry pulled me in and I couldn’t escape once Bridger and Tia met the sparks flew. It’s truly a book about trusting your heart and not listening to others. All it takes is a meeting to change everything and CJ showcases this perfectly. Loved this and can’t wait for the next book.

Holly is just trying to find her spot to fit in in her new school. Of course, the popular kids turn out to be jerks. The cutest guy, Nathan, is gorgeous but acts llike an asshole to her. Unbeknownst to her, he is hiding a big secret that he doesn’t want anyone to know. This is a wonderful book. So many emotions were felt as I read this book. The story is so romantic. I found the characters well-written. Evan, Nathan and his parents felt like they were many of families I know that do have members with epilepsy. The students at the high school fit right in with the peer pressure and how the caste systems go. My favorite part was the ending. That was a surprise that as the momma of a kiddo with a disability, I love seeing. The whole plot was well-written and researched. My son has seizures and I found the information the author shared spot on. Hiding the secret was a topic to follow because that’s a young person’s past time for many, especially in this day of social media. This is one of my favorite author’s as she writes books that cover topics that make you think. This book is a great book that young people will like. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could.
Levi (The Brothers of Creekside Ranch Book 1) by Edith Mackenzie
LOVED this story! Captivating, full of action & suspense & likable characters. Just the right amount of humor to keep The reader entertained. Very enjoyable. Excited to read the next two books of the series that will focus on the other two brothers.
Bella is running from the Russian mob, when she finds herself hiding as a nanny of an orphaned 9yr old girl, who is living with her triplet brothers on a ranch. Not too familiar with domestic chores & children, this task gives Bella a run for her money. Ex-Navy Seal, Levi, returns home to his family ranch to help his two brothers run the ranch & raise their sister. When Levi gets a call from a military buddy asking to house Bella and keep her safe until the trial, they use the nanny job as a cover. Undeniable attraction develops between Levi & Bella, as the everyone attempts to adjust to their new way of life. Levi struggles with his anger and PTSD, while Bella learns to stand up for herself. Can Levi and his family keep Bella safe and can Bella help Levi work through his demons from his previous life to build something special? Beautiful love story that leaves you rooting for the “happily ever after” ♥️
Phenomenally written, this was my first Edith MacKenzie book, but it will not be my last. Can’t wait to delve into the next two Brothers of Creekside Ranch Books! 5 stars for sure!

Blood & Vengence is the second book in The Casket Girls series. This installment finds Desiree and Theron hunting the rest of the vampires in New Orleans when she meets a vampire named Jaxon that wants to learn from Theron how to survive without killing. In the process, he falls for Desiree and must find a way to protect her from his past. At first, I was disappointed that this book would not follow Greer and Theron. Although I liked the other girls, I really wasn’t keen on reading about them as the main characters. However, I ended up really enjoying the sibling dynamic between Theron and Desiree. I would have to see more Greer but hopefully, we will see more of her at a later date. This book is as well-written and adventurous as the first. I liked the addition of Jaxon. I liked the dynamic between him and Desiree. This book made me feel all the emotions. I immensely enjoyed reading this book.

If you know me personally in any capacity you would automatically know my draw to this series! Being a nurse of over 10 years and someone with strong spirit/paranormal beliefs, this series feels like it was created for someone like me. That being said, I really enjoyed the continuation of Morgan’s story. The book reads quickly because at it’s core, I thought it was a lot of fun. There is a little bit of everything- enjoyable characters, wit and a unique yet strong, storyline. The way the book reads in my mind is almost like a tv sitcom that you have to watch “just one more episode”- the imagery is great. I look forward to reading more from this author and really encourage you to pick up this book! I know I keep referring to the series as a whole but I do recommend starting from book one- while the detail in the second book would likely keep you from feeling lost, you want the FULL experience!

One In A Billion (Pierce Brothers #3) by Belinda Williams
Another fantastic read by the author. One In A Billion is by far my favorite in the Pierce Brothers Series. It’s the third book and about the youngest brother. Seth is amazing and I hope you like his story.
Victoria is trying to make sure lands this promotion before her thirtieth birthday. Will she land herself the interview she needs to make it happen? Meeting Seth throws her for a loop and she isn’t expecting him to be a down to earth person. The quote I chose for Victoria is: ‘I’m sorry, but my name isn’t Kim. When your receptionist mistook me for her, I didn’t correct her.’
Seth is a young billionaire who doesn’t like speaking about it. He’s not the one to brag about it and he doesn’t show it off. Can he win Victoria over before it’s too late? The quote I chose for Seth is: ‘I’m sorry, Evan, but do you mind if I steal Victoria away for a few minutes? Unavoidable business, unfortunately.’

Spoilsport (Pierce Brothers #2) by Belinda Williams
Another great read by the author. Spoilsport is the second book in the Pierce Brothers Series. You will see Tom and Chelsea, but this story is Luke and Nadia’s. You will love this book.
Nadia doesn’t do relationships. She does flings, but once a guy starts catching feelings she’s gone. Luke was a fling until she learned that he was married. And had a daughter. Can she learn to let her guard down for Luke? The quote I chose for Nadia is: ‘No. But, actually, that’s not a bad idea. Is there a way I can convince you to build me that deck I can’t afford?’
Luke is the oldest Pierce brother and a divorced father. He has a construction company and loves to build. He learns that Naida’s house isn’t in good shape so he’s hoping he can get her to let him fix it up. When she agrees he does more than knock down a wall or two. The quote I chose for Luke is: ‘Then how’s this? I know you don’t love me. Can’t love me. Choose not to love me. Whatever you want to call it. But I still want to be with you. There. Is that enough honesty for you?’
Insatiable Darkness is the prequel to The Vigilant series by L.M Preston. It is a novella length story- so it is a very quick and easy read. Having said that, I wished it was a little longer and that we got more character info and more in-depth details, as I felt like sometimes things seemed skirted over, too condensed, choppy/jumpy, and/or a bit rushed. That’s not to say that I wasn’t intrigued by the story, or that I didn’t enjoy the book- because I was, and did. But I just felt like I wanted more, and I was left with so many questions at the end. I am hoping that as this is the prequel in the series, and with this book setting us up for the story to continue, that we will get more answers/detail in the coming book/s. This is a YA fantasy with mystery, danger, investigation, the supernatural, mythology, and school/teen drama. It has a mysterious vibe that was quite intriguing, too. I liked EmVee and the potential that this prequel holds for the rest of the series- so I will certainly purchase the other books to see what the author has in store for us.

Mr. Nice Guy (Pierce Brothers #1) by Belinda Williams
This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Mr. Nice Guy is the first book in the Pierce Brothers Series. It’s a fun read and will leave you wanting more. Tom and Chelsea are funny and you’ll fall in love with them.
Tom is Chelsea’s brother’s friend and is letting Chels stay with him. He’s had a thing for her for as long as he can remember, but then life happened. Now though he’s pretending to be her boyfriend to help her get over her bad boy trend. The quote I chose for Tom is: ‘Chels, you don’t need saving. You’re perfect just as you are, and you’re exactly what I need. You’re full of life. Fun. Generous and giving. Hard-working, although you try to hide it. While I’ve spent too much of my life holding on to life for fear of losing it, you’re living life freely. I love that about you.’
Chelsea is known for dating the bad boys and getting hurt in the end. Her friend decides to put her and Tom together although they’re housemates. When Chelsea finds herself falling for him it hurts. He doesn’t trust her or at least that’s what she thinks. The quote I chose for Chelsea is: ‘I can’t believe I’m considering taking advice about men from you.’
This was such an interesting read. It was a twisted spin on Alice in Wonderland that had criminals, monsters, crime and of course detectives. There was plenty of twists and turns and a whole lot of mystery. I didn’t want this one to end and I am looking forward to reading more in this series! Happy Reading.

I love a good hockey romance! Something about this sport and the men out there on the ice never fails to make an amazing story. Tia and Bridger had me falling in love with them individually and then even harder when they were together. Tia was a woman who made her own rules and did things her way. A poor history with men and ex’s in general she is not looking for anything related to the male variety. Bridger being the sexy man on ice as well as the bad boy has had quite a history with women., and nothing reflecting well on his reputation. He and Tia meeting and going through the motions with each other takes them both out of their element with the attraction and pull they each feel. Deciding to be friends with benefits they venture down a dangerous road which will either lead to love or something neither of them want to think about it. This humorous, sexy, angsty, and steamy story will have you smiling from start to finish.

5 Stars I’m Not Your Difference (Fitz Series Book 4) by Theresa Sederholt
I’m Not Your Difference is the fourth book in the Fitz Series and I absolutely loved reading it. I’m a huge fan of this author and her style of writing along with amazing characters make for a amazing story. This is a story that is intended for 18 + mature readers due to some Violence and Sexual Content. I recommend reading the first three books if you haven’t already as they are just as good as this one us you get back story and learn about the characters. I loved this book and had moments of heartbreak and I was a bit emotional at times. This is a wonderfully written story that is packed with m action, suspense , suspense and a serial killer. I loved that its written in more than one POV. This is a story about Andy and Stephen.. Andy is heart broken over Stephen leaving because he couldn’t handle Stella and her being deaf. Andy figures out a way to deal with all the things and then Stephen realizes he made a mistake. He’s determined to get Abdy and his family back. In the midst of everything going on there’s a serial killer preying on gay men. No worries Fitz is on the case and he’s not going to let them out of his sights. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

This book is attention grabbing, hard to put down and thought provoking all while still being a great fiction that is enjoyable to read! I was satisfied with how the book played out and look forward to reading more from the author and the series!

I have been a big fan of this author and just had to read One in A Billion. She definitely did not disappoint with this 5 star read. The book had a great plot and such loveable characters.
Victoria aka Tori is on a timeline. She’s looking for her career in journalism to take off by her 30th birthday or she’s going to quit. She’s hoping to get an interview with Seth Pierce. Unfortunately, he’s a VERY private person and turns down anyone looking for an interview so she decided to just show up to his office one day. Candy, the receptionist thought Victoria was there for an interview for a job and of course that was a way to get her foot in the door so she said that she was indeed the person with the appointment. While Victoria was talking to Seth, the real Kim Brown showed up for her interview. Seth was still thinking Tori would be great for him in more ways then one so he searched all over for her at all the temp agencies he could think of but there was no Tori Verity. Once Seth found out who she was, he showed up at her job unannounced as she did to him. He ended up offering her a job working for him but, in a different role. Everyone who has seen or heard anything about Seth Pierce knows he’s dating Pip. It just so happens they are each others plus one and everyone just assumes they are a couple but they are not. They are just best friends willing to do just about anything for eachother which you will learn when you read the book. This book was so hard to put down and I can’t wait for the next installment.

Nathan is popular, but not because he’s overly friendly. Holly is the new girl and wants to fit in. Nathan and his buddies are mean to Holly and those who become her ‘misfit’ friends. That changes when Holly witnesses an event that Nathan never wanted anyone outside of his immediate family to see. In his 17-year-old mind, his secret is so terrible that he is willing to do anything to keep it his secret, even fake a relationship with Holly.
Nathan’s plan fails when he falls in love with Holly. In true teenage form, he thinks lying is better than telling the truth.
The characters were well-developed. You could relate to their feelings and how they changed throughout the story. There seemed to be quite a bit of repetition at times that took my attention from the plot.
Overall, it was a great story about the power of honesty, friendship, and love.
This book was so much fun! Once I started to read it, I did not want to stop. I love hockey and adding in the sweet and spicy character dynamics makes this one of my faves! CJ knows how to paint a good picture of the hockey team, a snowy lake cabin, and more than enough tension!! I cannot wait to see what the future holds for each of the other characters in this world.
I love Levi and Brynn finding themselves in the same place once again, where they had been together as kids. I love the familiarity and the fact that Brynn is a very confident, independent character who wants to make sure she doesn’t just upend her life for someone else. Levi getting jealous of the love of her life, Marko, is the funniest part and really added levity to the story! I imagine my cat to be just the same as he.
Love love love! Keep bringing us more of this world!

I didn’t think it would be possible for me to like this second book more than the first, but that is in fact the case! In the first book in this series we are introduced to Tia and Bridger and can see the way they banter back and forth. This book solely dedicated to their relationship brings with it more of the sass and banter and expands upon both characters brilliantly! It is steamier and more complex than the first book, and I cannot wait to read more.
I love sports and I love romance novels… mixing the two is a perfect combination! CJ masterfully blends intrigue and suspense with realistic dialogue and situations. The result is that you do not want the book to end. The author prefaces the book with the difficult time it took to finish due to the pandemic and a hope that this world gives the reader a little respite from all that is going on in the world… mission accomplished! I will gladly get lost in this world again and again 🙂

This is the second book of the series and the author has successfully bridged the gap between two very different worlds. The characters, those breathing and those who have stopped, are well developed and relatable in some way. As the book delved further into the intertwined worlds and glimpses of the past and present, I wanted to be there to witness the events myself. I look forward to future books by the author.

I really enjoyed Bridger and Tia’s story! It delves Into both their lives and gives up the good and the bad. Together their chemistry is off-the-charts! I loved watching them navigate the trail of insta-attraction to leaning to becoming friends. I have crazy and cute comments highlighted that they thought about each other. Tia is a spitfire and doesn’t have a lot of filter which makes for some amusing commentary.
So for this is one of my favorite series! I have no idea whose story will be next but I am absolutely looking forward to it! This author writes with humor, seriousness and wonderful secondary characters as well as giving her characters strength. Its a perfect combination. I get to laugh while genuinely feeling for these characters.

This story has a sad start, a sad under-lying reason for Levi and Bella to meet. While the reason is sad the rest of the story line and characters are sweet, fun and oh so cute. I really liked how these two characters needed each other and then that need turned into something else altogether. And in such a short amount of time.
This trio of brothers and their sister will make for some very fun stories. Doesn’t everyone love a cowboy? A family man? Levi is just what we need. He’s rough and tough and needs the kindness that Bella brings to the table. She also brings the love that only a female can give, both to Levi and his siblings.
This author’s way with words keeps you engrossed in the story. Even with the sweet story there is a touch of danger since the Russian Mafia is involved. Thankfully Levi is ex-Navy Seal so he should be able to save the girl and the day!!
Hopefully the rest of the family finds their happily ever afters sooner rather than later!!

This was such a cute book but also had useful knowledge as well. I like that it explained the topic of imaginary friends seeing as how not all young kids experience it, but others can feel included! My kids are 6 and 10 years old and they immediately ran out to test the water magnifying glass! It’s short enough to keep kids’ attention but introduces an easy experiment to try right away. I also appreciate the lesson on fossils in addition to the magnifying glass. A great book all around and would be great for hands-on activities at home or in the classroom!

Levi is a retired Navy SEAL. He’s back to living on a ranch with his triplet brothers after their dad and step-mom were killed. The triplets have a ranch and a little sister to take care of now. Levi’s connections bring the perfect nanny to help care for their younger sister. Bella, the nanny, is a witness-in-hiding until she can bring down her mafia ex-boyfriend. The siblings and Bella learn to get along and get used to life together on the ranch. When disaster strikes they have to band together for everyone’s sake. “Levi” would be a perfect Hallmark movie. It was a wholesome story with likeable characters that was an easy read.
