The Vilification of Aqua Marine by Megan Mackie – Review by Amanda Haller-Doris

The Vilification of Aqua Marine (Working Mask, #1)The Vilification of Aqua Marine by Megan Mackie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I had not read this author before so I was not sure what to expect when I decided to read this book, but I was not disappointed! I found it to be a fast paced entertaining story about a girl who is trying to be a hero and live up to her father’s hero legacy, but she is also dealing with her mom, who does love her, but is a well-known villain. She accidentally finds herself with a nemesis that she isn’t sure what to do with. The story line was packed with action, backstory, and plenty of twists and turns that I definitely did not see coming. The story was also quite humorous and had me laughing out loud. The characters were well developed and fun. Even the “villains” were people I would want to go get a drink and hang out with. I would totally want to have the poison checking gloves on though, just in case. I absolutely recommend this story and I can’t wait for the next book to come out!
