The Vilification of Aqua Marine: Superhero Slice of Life Misadventure is the first book in the Working Masks series. I have enjoyed other books by this author before and was glad to see she had a new series. The story is a delightful look at an upcoming superhero or supervillain. Aqua Marine is challenged in deciding what route she will take in life. I enjoyed her character, interactions with her parents, and potential archnemesis, The Overlord of the Dance.
The story is original and interesting. This is a quick read, and I didn’t want to put it down. I enjoyed the characters and look forward to how they progress in this series. I think this can be enjoyed by teens and older. I am looking forward to grabbing the next book in the series.
