My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Crossbow Christmas by Ann Swann is a very relatable story. Set during the pandemic, Carina is a married mother of grown children that has just had an incredibly rough year. Carina has lost several family members over the last year and has been near death with Covid. She gets invited to her friend’s cabin so that she may have a white Christmas. She finds it very difficult to take the time for herself and decides to journal her time at the cabin. This was a beautifully written story. Carina was very relatable. I definitely understand taking care of everyone but yourself. Trying to find your footing after all the changes that Covid brought is a story that everyone can relate to at this time.
