This book was very good. The author is incredibly talented at painting a picture with descriptions. It was very easy to close my eyes and imagine exactly what she was describing.
I will say that at times this talent made the book seem a little wordy. However, that wordiness did not take away from the absolute delight that is the story. This story is more than meets the eye. It is told in the modern era but there are points in time where the story makes you feel as if you have been transported back in time. I have to say my favorite part of the book is Emma. Emma is a strong female protagonist who you will be rooting for throughout the entire story. More importantly, Emma is the type of character who stays with you long after the story is over. Truly her story is one you will want to read again, as I am sure there are pieces I didn’t pay close enough attention to that I would cherish during a second reading.
