The Fifth Daughter of Thorn RanchThe Fifth Daughter of Thorn Ranch by Julia Brewer Daily
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Emma is a heiress to The Thorn, a ranch that has been in her family for generations and is the largest ranch in Texas. She knows the land like the back of her hand. Yet, going out for a ride one night, she finds a tribe living among her property and the hold thinking the spirits sent her to them. She tries to return home and her family searches for her and exhausts all resources to find her.
Emma learns a new way of life all while trying to plan an escape.
This was a great book. It was read by the point of view of both Emma and her mother Josie and he endless search of her daughter. You got to learn about the land in Texas and the old ways of The People, who have been able to live off the land undetected for years.
