Paige Paulson, formerly Anderson, has loosely followed the career of Beckett Miller. They knew each other back in college before he became a hotshot NHL star. He’s the last person she expects to run into when she’s meeting a client about selling his house. As she gets to know Beckett on a more personal level she unknowingly starts to fall in love with him. With her marriage falling apart she is trying to keep things professional, but how much longer will that last?<br /><br />Beckett has been tearing it up in the NHL for the last several years, but his days just might be numbered. He has had one too many problems that no teams want him for fear of him bringing down their image. Now that he has found himself out of a job that he loves he must come up with money to cover his debts. In comes Paige, or Andie as he affectionately calls her, to save the day. He knows he needs to change his ways for not only himself but his career. He has never been one to make a commitment when it came to relationships but Paige is making him want to settle down. Will she be willing to be more than friends?<br /><br />I enjoyed this book as well as the writing style of the author. It was nice to see how much Beckett changed over the course of the book and how he saw he could be a much better person being sober. The banter between the characters was fun as well.
