After She Became a Lady by Wareeze Woodson
This is the first book I’ve read by the author. The writing style had me hooked from the beginning. It was a hard book to put down and I definitely will be looking for more by the author.
Laurel is about the age where she comes out as a bride to be. She doesn’t want the party, but she gets it anyway. Can she learn to do what she needs to do? The quote I chose for Laurel is: “I have something of the utmost importance to discuss. You know how I seek your wise counsel in every aspect of my life. Now my future, my entire life, depends on you.”
Highly recommended for Historical Romance lovers.
