My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Shortly after venturing into this series, I found myself drawn in and invested in the storyline and characters. I’ll admit, I had a hard time wrapping my brain around the whole multiverse concept, but that says more about my limited attention span, and nothing negative about this author. He truly did an outstanding job of weaving a complex MULTIVERSE, filled with interesting characters, beautiful scenery, and a web of different stories that interconnect beautifully. Kudos for including the character list, so us scatterbrained readers can keep track of the numerous characters. One day, I hope to read this series through again, so I can give it the time and attention that it deserves.

Straight for the Kill (Benoit and Dayne Mystery Book 3) by Winter Austin – Review by Tonya Merritt

Straight for the Kill (Benoit and Dayne Mystery, #3)Straight for the Kill by Winter Austin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This story is another classic Benoit and Dayne story. Like the second book, this one did not seem like a series to me. Which is no complaint, I like my books to be free of the need for them to be in order. She perfectly restated who everyone was but still gives bits to the past books. This storyline is my favorite out of all three she has made in the Benoit and Dayne line. The twists were successful in the suspense of this book. Will you find out the answer before someone else is hurt? Is the killer someone they know? You successfully find out in the reading of Straight For the Kill.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Isla Vaughn starts Savage Start out very well. The story pulls you in and you get involved in the character’s life and waiting for more. It did have some predictable aspects but was well written allowing you to continue on despite. Only complaint, if you could call it one, is it was over before it really got involved. Or maybe I read it too fast either way, would definitely read again and be sure I have the rest of the series handy to complete it all in one sitting. Despite the length, I am left wanting more.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is amazing. It is a short quick read that will keep you wanting more. I am normally not one that likes a cliff hanger but for some reason, I don’t mind it with this book. It is probably because, it was an incredible story that hit on everything I needed in a book. I was definitely left wanting more and feel that even if it did have a definite ending, I would still be craving the next book. IT sets the stage for what seems like an amazing new series. There is character development throughout the book which is something I always hope for. The twists and turns that this book takes surprised me but in the best way possible. There is everything one could hope for in a bully romance; heartbreak, love, angst, twists that you don’t see coming, and will leave you wanting more. If you have a few hours of free time I highly suggest reading this book and being sucked into it. I would suggest being prepared to feel everything the characters do because the book is well written. I can’t say enough good things about this book without giving things away and I don’t want to do that. Do yourself a favor and read this book you won’t be disappointed.

Bees in Loretta’s Bonnet (Loretta’s Insects) by Lois Wickstrom. I love this author. Her books are always very informative and fun. This is the story of Loretta who goes to get firewood and finds a nest but thinks its a toy. She later finds out it a nest for Leaf cutter bees so she puts it back and in the spring she finds the bees in it. She tries to learn as much as she can about them and even learns how to attract them and help them survive. This is such a cute, informational book that would make a great gift for the little one in your life.

For being such a short and quick read, I loved this! Author did amazing with this story and my goodness, that cliffhanger? WHAT? I didn’t want this book to end and I NEED more lol. Cole is simply amazing and he’s got such a soft spot for his momma. He’s always there for her, especially when his dad is being a POS…which is 99% of the time. Riley is so used to moving because her and her mom are constantly on the go. Her dad is also a POS. There’s betrayal and tragedy and heartbreak in this..I honestly didn’t expect for the book to go the way it did. Great read though and I can’t wait to read more!

Savage Start: A High School Bully Romance: Hidden Valley Elite PrequelSavage Start: A High School Bully Romance: Hidden Valley Elite Prequel by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a really gripping short read. The characters are amazingly written. They have so much depth that you can’t help be drawn into their lives. Both the main characters Riley and Cole have traumatic lives. Both have family issues which affect them in ways no young adult should he affected.
Riley and her mum are on the run from her father. They never stay anywhere for long and because of this Riley has a distrust of people.
Cole’s family is very toxic. With a dad constantly cheating and his mother suffering from mental health problems it is a volatile mix.
The way Riley and Cole meet is unexpected but one thing is for sure they never forget each other.
This story does deal with some issues that may cause a trigger for some people like mental illness and the consequences of untreated mental illness. The author handles this in an emotionally honest way which brings the situation to life and makes your heart break for the characters involved.

I can’t wait to see what is in store for Cole and Riley and if they will ever see each other again.

What an adorable cozy mystery. I loved Delilah. The story is entertaining. Even with being a mystery, you have your little chuckle moments. My favorite parts of cozies are all the characters. There always your quirky ones that just make the story. I found the plot quite cute. I enjoyed trying to figure out who did it. I look forward to reading more from this author. A quick and fun read.

I have read a few books from this author and she continues to blow my mind. I love how she makes her books from both characters’ points of view. This is the fourth book of the amazing Red Cage series. I was so excited to read this one I stopped everything and started this one immediately. I could not put this book down until the very end. I can’t wait to see what this amazing author will write about next.

Soleil is so excited to actually see her best friend in person. When she gets there she is told to sleep in her older brother’s room because he is gone. She is surprised when she wakes up to Tripp lying next to her. Soleil knows that Tripp can’t stand her but her world falls apart. She is shocked when Tripp is the one that says he will help her. They get to know each other and sparks fly. Will Soleil get her bad boy after all or is this just a job?

Wow! I feel like I got tripped and am hanging off a cliff. This author wrote a hell of a prequel!!! Talk about a cliffhanger. The chemistry is sparking and gonna blow. I did have my suspicions and now I know they are confirmed. That volcano is going to blow and I have to be there to see Riley and Cole blow. Their parents are creating some family drama. The question is, can these two get through it and come out together on the other side. (cue dramatic music) Until the next book. On a serious note, the author packs a lot into the story with these kiddos. Drama, romance, suicide attempts, affairs, and more drama. I felt like I’m watching 90210, only better. I can’t wait for the first book. Bravo!!!

A bonafide pop diva, all sass and scandal, Cristy Valor commands headlines wherever she goes. The tabloids love her—and love to hate her. From the first time her sexy alto voice rolls over me, she has all my attention. When she joins Balefire on our latest tour, she sashays across the stage in her wild-ass costumes and parties hard enough to keep up with my boys and me. She drives me batshit crazy—and I love every second of it.

Sex on stilettos.

Pure trouble.

Our sizzling chemistry could shoot a rocket into space, and it’s not long before I crave her. For the first time in my life, I want to share everything with a woman. But Cristy is hiding something, something that holds her back from giving me all of herself. She’s about to find out that I’m a patient man—and I always get what I want.

Adam Tron is the poster boy for tall, dark, and sexy. His bass rhythms are enough to make me cream my panties every time I hear them. Flirting with him during our live shows is a rush but nothing compared to what happens when I finally give in to my lust and share his bed. The problem is, sex isn’t all he wants.

For my entire career, I’ve set the narrative, teased the tabloids with scandals that kept them too busy to look into my past, too busy to discover the secret that could end the party for good. Adam Tron could wreck me, steal my heart—and my music. I can’t let him in. I can’t let him discover the secret behind the nightmares I have nearly every night. He thinks he can slay all my monsters, and it would be so easy to let him. But if he finds out the truth, will he still be hot for me?

The Muffin Shop Murder is the first book in the new “Delilah Crumbworthy Mystery” series by Holly Tierney. It is an intriguing, well-woven cozy mystery, with drama, suspense, quirky characters, and more.
I have read most of Ms. Tierney’s books now, and she never disappoints. This mystery proved to be a well thought out and intriguing read. The author wove her plot really well, her attention to detail making this story quite engrossing.
If you love a great cozy mystery then you won’t want to miss this- especially if you are looking for an interesting, fun, charming, fairly light-hearted, and entertaining story that will keep you engaged right through to the end.
I loved Delilah and can’t wait to see what she gets up to next!
Happy Reading!

Thank-you Ms. Tierney!

See the second book was amazing and pager turner. This last book was somewhat sad because of the fact that Elizabeth’s sister is missing and her best friend happens the same thing and still, Lila’s detective skills are at the tip of the point to know who the killer is. If only Elizabeth does not get in the way.

Wow, Winter Austin has me wanting to get the 1st book in this series. Give me chills towards the middle of the book. Poor Lila can’t get the shaking fear that the killer is somewhere watching her every move. I don’t like the fact that Elizabeth used Lila to lure the killer to her knowing that she wants to be free of fear. Funny thing that I live close to Chicago LOL.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book would be a great one for a pre-teen or teen. Middle school was and interesting time and lets be honest, kind of sucky time. This book shows all of the different things someone might face in middle school. It includes teenage drama, bullying, trying to fit in, finding yourself at that age, and the question we all had at that age… is being popular all that it is cracked up to be? It was well written and a I enjoyed the story the author brought to us even if it was not my preferred genre and I am looking forward to letting my daughter read this in her teens.
Happy Reading!

Sharing His Nanny: A Curvy Girl Reverse Harem Romance (Forever Our Girl Book 2)

This is not my go to sub genre but thought I would read it for a change of pace. I’m not at all sorry I did. I’m one who has a hard time focusing on anything else once a book has captured my attention, and this one got me. I found myself up reading way too late on a work night, but thankfully I was working from home so I could sleep a bit later.

Stella is a Goddess, she’s plus size and not ashamed and make no apologies for it. She has principles and sticks by them even if she’s hurting herself in the process. In this case it definitely was a win for her.

Charles is would a little too tight even during what is supposed to a month of debauchery with his best friends and any women they can find. Their plans quickly shifted and they have no idea how wonderful it will end up being.

I throughly enjoyed this and would definitely read this and other books by this author. Love finding unexpected gems.

This was such an amazing book, I could not put it down. The author had my attention from the very first page. The plot reminded me so much about my middle school experience and I related to it a LOT! This book was drama filled just like middle school. It also talks about the bullying, anxiety, and peer pressure that goes on in middle school and on. This author had the plot and characters well thought out! Great job! I can’t wait to read more of her books!!

This was a good read however I think it needed more of storyline. While I understand the plus size story line in LA the book either focused on that or too heavily on the details of the relationship. I was looking for more of a plot! Stella made the very best out of what could have been a very awful situation!

Wow is what I was saying throughout reading this book! If you seek a book with excitement, steamy scenarios, and with a good storyline, this is the book for you!
Story centers around Stella, a young adult recently graduated from college and pursuing her ambition of becoming a plus size fashion designer. As she is plus size herself, having clothing that conforms to women of all sizes is a big passion of hers. The unfortunate end of her circumstances is she lacks family and financial support follows through in her time of need. She ends up homeless and turns to her distant stepmother, who has never connected with and has kept Stella at a distance.
Her stepmother then comes up with an idea in a moment’s notice and Stella becomes the nanny for her Stepbrother’s, Charles, baby daughter. When they all meet at the beach house, which is known for its wild partying with his buddies. His colleagues and friends come along with the month-long trip but now have to adjust their plans as a result of a baby and her nanny. As they become more acquainted with one another, they start developing an attraction and bring up the possibility of what if the excitement will continue even through the new obstacles.
This is definitely worth the read without spilling the beans on more details! Enjoy!

5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is book 2 of this series and it was fabulous! I love sports romance full of sizzle and this story of Ryan and Peyton was off the charts.

Ryan is a big time baseball pitcher, with total focus and being all about his team and winning. When Ryan meets Peyton for the first time, it started off the wrong foot right from the beginning… Peyton was dating a married man, whom is on the same baseball team as Ryan and Peyton had no idea. To cover his teammate’s track due to be “about the team”, Ryan covers and to be Peyton’s “fake” date. When fake dating leads to something more…Ryan and Peyton’s spark and sizzle is totally undeniable. What happens when miscommunication, pressuring parents and a tool bag of teammate’s jealousy whom is also married come between Ryan and Peyton?

I loved this story and I highly recommend reading this series in order. I am so looking forward to book # 3.

Sharing His Nanny (Forever Our Girl Book 2) by Tori Chase – Review by Tia Martel

Sharing His Nanny (Forever Our Girl, #2)Sharing His Nanny by Tori Chase
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Stella is a designer for plus-sized clothing. She just needs to find an investor to get her line into production. When she’s pushed into being a nanny for a month, it seems like things are falling into place.

But it might be a little hard, since the father is the first guy she ever crushed on, and also her stepbrother…

It can’t be too hard when an adorable baby is involved, but with three gorgeous men under the same roof, it gets hard to think. Suddenly, Stella has her hands full with two of the men almost nightly.

Her stepbrother keeps his distance while his friends take their time and energy out with Stella, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t looking. It’s only one month. One month and everything, and every one, goes back to the real world. Right?

Sharing His Nanny was a spicy, steamy, taboo filled read. I went in expecting one thing and this was not it. It was well written and I enjoyed the characters (in and out of the bedroom). Every person had some growing up and learning to do and the growth was evident.

If you enjoy spice, taboo, and more men than you can handle, this is a read to definitely check out. If none of those are your thing: stay away, because PHEW! It’s hot in here.
