Yeah, he wants me.

But I want him just as much.

Unexpected Entanglement (The Echo Series Book 3) by C.R. Alam – Review by Rosanna Ingram

Unexpected Entanglement (Book 3 of the Echo Series)Unexpected Entanglement by C.R. Alam
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rowan has inherited her family’s inn and wants to prove herself worthy. What better way to do that than to plan an amazing wedding for her cousin?!? Even though the inn might not be fully ready…and she doesn’t quite have the staff she needs…she (begrudgingly, at first) accepts the help of a stranger.

Chris comes to the island on vacation, and as a favor to a friend to check on the inn. What he doesn’t plan on doing is helping to plan a wedding and pretending to be the fiancé of the inn’s owner. He also doesn’t plan on the intense attraction the two have. But, when things start to get crazy, will Chris and Rowan be able to work together to get to the bottom of it?

I was really rooting for these two. This book has so much going on…love, loss, grief, drama, banter, angst, fake relationship, sabotage, healing…the list goes on and on. The author does such a good job at keeping you guessing til the end and making these characters feel so real. As the third book in the series…it can definitely be read as a standalone. However, C.R. Alam leaves lots of little gems in this book that refer to previous books in the series. This is a good book that I enjoyed reading.

Little Red, the Detective (Science Folktales) by Lois Wickstrom – Review by Anantha Rusum

Little Red, the Detective: a science folktale (Science Folktales)Little Red, the Detective: a science folktale by Lois Wickstrom
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book has a science twist to the fairy tale, Little Red Riding Hood. This is one of the books in the science folk tales series written by Lois Wickstrom. Little Red heads over to the forest to get purple cone flowers which her grandmother has asked her to bring for tea. She cannot find the flowers anywhere and suspiciously a friendly wolf comes with up with the exact flowers she was looking for. Red does not trust him, but he gains speed ahead of her and reaches the grandma’s place before her. When Red comes to see the grandma, she had disappeared. Red uses her sleuth skills to uncover the mystery.
I usually like Lois Wickstrom’s imagination to introduce science to the kids through different concepts.
This twist in the fairy tale is not one of my favorites, but I can see the point the author is trying to convey to the children.

I'll Love You Tomorrow (The Trading Heartbeats Trilogy, Book #3)I’ll Love You Tomorrow by Julie Navickas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lauren has everything a girl could ask for, her own restaurant, and married to her best friend Mitch. The two got married in Vegas and had wonderful years together after the Honeymoon, and then out of nowhere, Mitch starts acting distant, and Pier Ninety-Two is barely getting by. When tragedy strikes and a fire burns down Pier Ninety-Two, Lauren pulls up her bootstraps and gets to work in saving her restaurant and her marriage. She hopes that a trip back to Vegas will help jumpstart everything back again and that Mitch will be back by her side, once again. This second chance story was very sweet and you could see the love the two characters had for each other within the pages. It was a wonderful conclusion to the Trading Heartbeat’s trilogy, and I loved reading each page of it!

In this second book we Have Austin from book 1. This book can be read as a stand-alone, but there are somethings that I feel that would make a lot more sense if the reader read book 1 before reading this book. That being said! Austin in this book in the beginning was heartbreaking. He tried to win over the girl but in the end, Mavis chose his brother Josh. Right then you want to give this man a big hug for the big feelings that he has to sort through. Deciding that space is needed between him and Mavis, he decides to go to Chicago where he meets the lovely lady named Casey. Casey is everything that he isn’t. She is his exact opposite, and he absolutely loves it. When an opportunity comes up, that could take him back to California. He must choose to give up Baseball, or lose his girl that he loves dearly. Like the first one, the story draws you in and gives the characters life. It’s beautifully written and I was not disappointed!

5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is a great read and a great series. Unexpected Entanglement is book 3 in the Echo Series, and I highly recommend reading this series as characters are tied in throughout the book, and I would have to say this while I loved all the books this would be my favorite story. I loved Chris and Rowan.
Spark, sizzle, fake relationship with banter, secrets, suspicion, drama, unexplained “accidents” and healing.

Chris Sullens, planned a vacation spot in Vinalhaven and a bit away from work as a successful hotel owner…but upon coming onto the island, he meets a fiery, Rowan Kelley. Chris’ plans also including to help out Rowan and her brother Kieran with their Inn, especially coming from experience….but this help at first comes with much questions and push-back.

Rowan wants to prove she can run her family owned Inn successfully…she is so determined. Things change unexpectedly with a loss, but it does not deter Rowan to fulfilling her family legacy and keep the Inn going. When Chris Sullens shows up to help, with at first hesitation, she ends up learning so much more. Rowan is determined more than ever to have the best wedding for her friend at the Inn…but when strange things start happening at the Inn…..will Rowan be able to have the wedding that she planned for her cousin be successful while working with Chris as they also navigate their feelings?

This is such a fantastic read, I highly recommend! This story gave me all the feels as I devoured each page and I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rowan Kelly has inherited an inn and she’s super excited to host her cousin’s wedding there. Everything has to be perfect and beautiful for the big day. Rowan can handle just about anything that is put in her way but having an extra hand or two never hurts!

Insert Chris Sullens. Chris is a well-known hotelier who is more than happy to dig in and help Rowan make this wedding the best ever. What he didn’t expect is the role that he’d be asked to play in order this wedding to go off WITH a hitch!

This is probably my favorite book of this series so far! There is an overlap of some characters from previous books (it was good to catch up on them!) but this book can be read as a standalone easily. I look forward to seeing where this series continues to go!

This story grabbed my attention right away and kept me hooked till the end. This is a speculative steampunk fantasy with mystery, history, historical fiction, secrets, high stakes, the paranormal, supernatural, action, danger, suspense drama, emotion, and so more. I found it to be quite interesting, with wonderful world-building and details and descriptions that really brought the whole story to life. This a very well-developed and extremely put together story, along with the characters that I really felt like I was right there in the story with them. The characters get into an adventure full of mystery as they scramble to try to stop a war. What ends up happening makes for a fun read, and all the adventure kept me turning the pages to see how everything would play out in the end. This book was a must read, and I was glad I was able to pick it up.

Alam definitely knows how to build love chemistry between her characters and she has done it yet again! Absolutely loved the previous two books and fell in love with this one as well! This story has to do with Rowan, who becomes an unexpected wedding planner as she helps out her cousin. Even though things are not turning out as planned, she is trying to keep her head held high and making the best of it. None other than the handsome Chris Sullens turns up at the hotel where wedding planning is underway and ends up helping her. As their attraction and planning come to be, other things are unraveled. Don’t want to give much away because this book is a must read! This series is amazing and I’m sure many others will feel the same way too! Happy Reading!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I’ll Love You Tomorrow is book three in the Trading Hearts trilogy by Julie Navickas. I have enjoyed this trilogy and this book was probably the best. Though I really loved Austin’s story! Mitch and Lauren have been together since they were in school. They have been married for 7 years and it seems as though their whole marriage is over. They do decide (with the help of their siblings) to give it one last chance. Are things really done for good? Or will they be able to rekindle their relationship. If you’ve read the first two books this is a good ending. Though there is a particular someone who no one likes that Id be interested in getting their own story just so they’d leave the Templeton family alone! But that’s for another book I hear!

Another great children’s book from Lois Wickstrom. After reading this with my six year old and asking her thoughts she gave an enthusiastic “awesome!” and explained her favorite part. While her favorite part was a silly wolf antic, mine was the subtle education the storyline had to offer. I loved Red’s resourcefulness and keen investigative skills.
Once again, I would definitely recommend adding this to your library.

Dawnbreaker: The House of Blood and Sun, is a Fantasy/Paranormal Romance. The world created for this series is fantastic and I truly can’t wait to continue following what this world has to offer in future books in the series. The romance wasn’t overly complicated like so many others in this genre. I really like the time Thorne took to add backstories and give the reader a full immersion into the world they created. It’s a must read for anyone into Fantasy/Paranormal Romance.

The author really knocks it home with this one! Two previous storylines wrap up in this book. I really like how a former plot that was only so-so resolved, became well and truly resolved. Characters that have previously been on the bench, so to speak, get brought up to bat in this story. The author gives nods to history, with a famous detective agency, as well as bicycles, and the still-new automobiles. This book features a strong female protagonist, and loving family/chosen family bonds.

Savage Lies (Hidden Valley Elite Book 1) by Isla Vaughn – Review by Shannon Fowler

Savage Lies: A High School Bully Romance (Hidden Valley Elite Book 1)Savage Lies: A High School Bully Romance by Isla Vaughn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This story is a continuation from Savage Start so definitely start there. Teenager Riley and her mother are con artists. However, it seems that mom has had a change of heart. She insists that this is the real deal and that Riley can be a normal teenager. Riley isn’t sure of anything anymore. Including the attraction to Cole.
Teenager Cole is considered the high school’s elite and he’s the football star. Everyone wants to be with him or be him. Cole is typical in that he is mad at his parents and the world. However, Riley enters his world and things are a little more interesting but why all the lies? What is the truth about her and her mother?

This story is a really good teen angst story. Everything seems like the end of the world. They know it all. Noone loves them. Parties, football and hatred for the parents. This author seems to know teenagers.

I am left with questions as this story ended on a cliffhanger. So I am looking forward to reading the next story, Savage Truth.

Oh WOW!
This is my 1st read from this author and I was NOT disappointed. I instantly fell in love with the leading female character. She is strong and stubborn and everything I look for in a leading lady. Our leading man was no let down either. I was instantly drawn to their chemistry. I felt their attraction. I knew without a doubt that this story was going to leave me wanting more, and it DID. I want to live in this world. I want to befriend these characters. I need to visit the Inn and befriend that townspeople. C.R. Alam has done an AMAZING job of creating a place you WANT to be, and I am here to tell you, I WANT TO BE THERE. Thank you so much for creating a world for us to get lost in.

As they get closer though they find the chemistry is too much to ignore, what happens when they fall for one another.

Another great story from this author. Rowan is full of sass and I liked that the emotions for her and her sister were a bit raw, it fit with the plot. Chris is great, he has some swagger and the attraction between Rowan and Chris is undeniable.

Unexpected Entanglement
By: C. R. Alam

This is the third book in the Echo Series. This brings what readers of C.R. Alam have learned to love. A great plot, characters that feel like they could be someone that you know and some love.
Chris is such an amazing character. I love that he is a famous entrepreneur but he is able to come into a small town and really fit in and doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb. Rowan has come into an inn and she is pouring her heart and soul into fixing it up. She is facing a serious deadline, the inn needs to be up and running before her cousin’s wedding.
Chris is a famous hotelier. His hotels are located all over the world. But being in this small town he knows how to get things not only done but done well.
What happens when Chris and Rowan’s paths meet? What begins as a fake entanglement may just become something more.
I definitely recommend reading this book and the others in the echo series. Each book is a stand alone but I wouldn’t miss a single one as they are all excellent.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Having read and enjoyed the previous two books in the series I was looking forward to this story, and I found it as entertaining and engaging as the others. Although the characters do crossover it can be read as a standalone story. Although the inn which Rowan Kelly has inherited is not as ready or as staffed as she would like, she’s determined to provide her cousin with a beautiful wedding held there. Meanwhile, well known hotelier Chris Sullens had planned on staying in Vinalhaven for just twenty four hours, but finds himself offering to help the beautiful but fiery innkeeper plan a wedding.
Rowan knows she should be flattered by Chris’s help and use his expertise but she just finds him nosy, and a bit charming. Despite their obvious mutual attraction and sizzling chemistry, they both try to keep things professional, and we’re doing well until Chris finds himself playing the role of Rowan’s fiancé. However, the couple have to work together as strange events seem to threaten not only the wedding and the inn’s future, but also Rowan’s safety. The storyline flows well and the plot kept me hooked throughout. Both main characters are likeable and relatable, who’s chemistry really came across in the narrative. This heartwarming romantic suspense story was a real page turner.
