This very talented author creates such amazing characters and storylines filled with so much heart! I was instantly in love and was completely invested in the story of Rowan and Chris right from the start. Having met Chris a little in the previous books in this wonderful series I knew his story was going to be a great read and it definitely was that and so much more! Now if you haven’t read the previous books you will still follow the storyline and enjoy it wholeheartedly but I HIGHLY recommend reading the entire series simply because the people and places created in these pages will burrow into your heart to stay and you don’t want to miss out on that.

Savage Start is a part of Isla Vaughn’s Hidden Valley Elite series. Featuring the alternating views of Riley Matthews and Cole Savage, the story begins with Riley moving to Santa Monica with her mother. They had always run cons, and rarely stayed in one place for very long. That evening, she tells her mother that she is going to the beach. Riley finds a party and slips in to see people her age. She goes into the house and enters a room. Seeing a library, she scans the room and finds a lighter made of gold. She turns to leave and runs into a guy. Cole asks who she is, and Riley attempts to lie. He threatens to call the police after he takes the lighter out of her back pocket. Riley attempts to taunt him, and he steps up to her challenge. He kisses her, and Riley is shocked. She makes a mad dash from the house. Neither of them knew the other, but they both wanted more.
This is a great prequel, and I liked watching Riley’s streetwise manners fly out the window when Cole caught her trying to steal. The underlying conflict is equal on both sides. Riley’s mother is trying to hide them from Riley’s father. Cole and his brother Damon have a father who cheats on their suicidal mother. The conclusion leads well into the sequel.
This was a great 5 star read. It really tugged at my heartstrings. Lauren and Mitch are having some internal struggles. You can feel the anguish these two are experiencing as they struggle with the thoughts of divorce. Lauren is also struggling to keep her business going but when she loses it to a fire she feels everything crumbling down on her. All I could do was hope that these two could find their way back to each other, you could clearly see they still had love there. Can these two find their love again before it’s too late? Will traveling to Las Vegas bring that back? Overall I really enjoyed this read. My emotions were all over the place. The characters were loveable right from the start. They both clearly had a deep love for each other, they just had to figure out some things. This is a great series and this book can be read as a stand alone but I suggest reading from the start. Instantly she recognizes him, but since she has changed her entire look, he doesn’t. Without his knowledge, Riley lifts Cole’s wallet to learn more about him. While hiding in the bathroom, she pockets the money from the wallet. Just as she is about to exit, she runs straight into Cole. He threatens her. He will make her life miserable. Cole spreads the word to stay away from Riley. However, after school, he hears someone in the pool area. He sees Riley on the high dive and interrupts her mid-dive, but not until after he takes a picture with the clock in the background for evidence.
Cole’s father, Lucas, tells him to not worry about the alert he receives about one of their rental properties. Instead, Cole learns that his father’s new woman’s daughter was the one who set the alarm off. Raeyln and Riley are living in the rental property. Cole gets a copy of the key, intent on showing Riley he can get her anywhere. Shocked, Riley demands to know how he got the key to the house. Cole informs “Your mother is dating my dad.” From that moment, Riley intends to get revenge.
The plot thickens in the series. Both Cole and Riley are hiding dark secrets. Despite their “hatred” of each other, something undeniably attracted both of them to each other. Isla Vaughn created well-developed personalities for every person in this book and the cliffhanger ending had me desperate to read more. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes a romance novel with more depth than just happily ever. I am eager to read the sequel.

Breach of Trust is the eighth book in The Madeline Dawkins series by Cynthia Hamilton. This book can definitely be read as a stand-alone. I picked this book out of a line-up and decided to read it because the description caught my attention.
While this is the first book I have read in the series, I can say, you will want to get out your notebooks and Scooby Snacks, track all the clues, and see if you can solve with case alongside the gang. If you enjoy books about Private Investigators, suspense, secrets and lies, mysteries, adventure, and secrets this is just the book for you. Cynthia Hamilton is now one of my all-time favorite mystery writers. That is saying something since I grew up reading Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys.

A really great philosophical read. What starts at the beginning of life taking you through the stages of his life. But perhaps in an alternative your life too.
It was easily relatable for me when reading insight of his teenage and young adult years. The mind is a fascinating endless source of strength, encouragement, power and wisdom.
I would recommend this book to be read a poem a day to really resonate with the feelings of each one. It’s like a fine way to be savored over time; instead of devoured instantaneously.
Thought provoking I truly encourage this read for those on their own journey of peace and understanding.

Lois Wickstrom has crafted an excellent book that has a unique twist of science and folktale. In this book, Little Red’s grandmother asks her to bring her some flowers for tea and to come for a visit. I always enjoy looking for connections to make with student learning for teaching. This book would be great for the beginning of spring during the middle part of a plant unit. Children can create their own plant identification journal, notes can be taken about the plants, and a research project could be completed about a favorite plant. There are so many fun activities that could be completed like flower pressings for the plant identification journal. Another topic could involve All about Using Plants- this would include plants to eat, how plants can help heal people, and other uses for plants.

Honestly where do I even start?! This book was such a refreshing and exciting read. I loved the MC and enjoyed how the author wrote this novel! It was such an easy and great read and I cannot wait for more books from this series! The plot was great and I could not put it down! A really good book, one of the best in a while I’ve read!!!

First off, wow. Before this book I had never heard of the insanely talented Kelly Covic. While I enjoy creepy stories, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect with a collection of short stories, but from the first story I was hooked and wanted more. While some of the stories left me flabbergasted others left me thinking “what just happened?”. The very first story has a twist that leaves on you your toes thinking wait what no, no, no that can’t be the end. So many of these stories made me crave more information, a full-length book to explore the intensity she began in just a few pages each. One of the short stories has already led to a full-length book called The Drake House by Kelly Moran, that I will be looking into soon. The author has an unattainable level of skill with her words, and the way she creates such in depth fantastic spine-chilling stories that leave you with a range of emotions once finished. One story leaving me speechless, another leaving me with my skin crawling or in shock. I cannot wait to read more of her amazing work and will be keeping my eyes open for what she has coming next.

Soo.. I was really surprised by this book and while it does have some of your typical romance tropes I felt that it was a pretty original story that I really had a great time reading. I didn’t get so much a vengeful vixen but a seriously wronged girlfriend trying to lash out in anyway for very good reason beings that her boyfriend literally steals from their business and continually tries to undermine her to build his own business. I really liked Wick from the first time he is introduced and once he is involved the book becomes super steamy with lots of hot tub action. I’m glad that she finally let him in at the end for good and I really loved Oakleys wedding scene at the end. If your looking for a fun, quick, entertaining read look no further!
Can I say I loved this story of Mitch & Lauren so much…I totally devoured this book. This is Book 3 in The Trading Heartbeats Trilogy, and I highly recommend reading this series in order as the story lines tie together and especially in this book its all definitely comes together. While I loved all the books in this trilogy….I have to say this is my favorite story. I can totally relate and have empathy for the characters as both Mitch and Lauren and trying to figure out “how did they get to where they are” at this point…I get it…myself having been there.
Mitch and Lauren have been each others loves since forever…and now married 7 years things are turning rocky. Lauren is all about her career, owning her own restaurant and trying to live up to the Templeton name…and all Mitch wants is more time with Lauren and to start a family. The stress trying to balance home and work…put a massive strain on their marriage. When a chance getaway to Vegas for celebrations both take Mitch and Lauren back to their beginnings…they want to fight for each other……….but when coming home to reality, drama, blurred lines and lack of communication…will Mitch and Lauren be able to withstand their stormy marriage and past hurts?
This trilogy is beautifully wrapped up…and while I am sad and not wanting to let go of the Templeton’s….I am super excited to see what this author has in store for me to read next!!

I’ll love you tomorrow was the last book in the Templeton siblings series. I read it in one sitting like the others in this trilogy. I think I liked this one the least out of the 3, but it was still very good. It was also the most realistic to me.
My heart broke for Lauren throughout the book. But my heart also broke for Mitch. The couple seemed to have drifted apart. They weren’t in sync anymore and it did a number on their relationship. Honestly I didn’t think they were going to be able to pull it together. Seemed like every time they took a step closer they took 3 steps back. But in the end the couple did what was best for everyone. I also loved seeing Austin so happy. Overall it was a great ending to a great trilogy.

These three books are very easy to read. They are fast paced and if you don’t have a lot of time to read, these would be perfect for that. You don’t feel like you have to continue reading. That doesn’t mean they aren’t good books though! I enjoyed them. The books are pretty steamy. The storyline almost takes a back seat to the steam. The story doesn’t get completely lost though. I liked how the three books connected together. The third story was my favorite. I do wish there were more to the stories and characters though. A little background maybe.
This book is a great read with a lot of character development.
This book follows Rowan. She inherited an inn and has been fixing it up. She has a pretty clear vision of what she wants the inn to look like and the feeling it will have. With the help of her father, she has been able to get quite a bit of the remodeling done. She has a deadline that she wants to have up and running by and that is her cousin’s wedding.
Chris is world-renowned in the hotel industry. He has many hotels all over the world. What happens when he winds up in the same town as Rowan’s little inn? Chris is pretty laid back but knows how to put his foot down and get things done and done well.
What happens when the sassy spitfire meets the well-put-together businessman? Can something that was just for show really become something? Read this book to find out what happens with Rowan and Chris. Also, find out what happens with the inn.

I don’t know where Indie Sparks has been all my life, but they just wrapped me up in a MARVELOUS read! I was hooked from the get-go (trust me, you will be too) and I couldn’t read fast enough. Now I didn’t realize this was book two, so I’ve already ordered the first in the series because I cannot stop thinking about it! Nadine decided to go into business with Heath, a guy that she’s been dating for six months, which can only be a good thing…or so she thought. Things go awry and Nade decides she wants to get revenge. What could be better than stealing Heath’s personal trainer, Wick? What no one saw coming was how much chemistry Nade and Wick would have together. There is plenty of personal training in and out of the bedroom! You’ll enjoy this spicy, romantic comedy, just don’t forget about the first book, “Your Boss Says Hi!”
This is the third and final book in the Trading Heartbeats trilogy. Julie does an amazing job at continuing the storyline from the end of the previous books. I highly suggest that you read the first two books in the series before this one. If not you will most likely be confused and not know the full extent of the past experiences.

Let me tell you, this is the spiciest, steamiest trilogy that I have read! If you are here for the heat, you will NOT be disappointed. Each book has its own theme but they do all have one thing in common…tantalizing you to death! The stories are a little short so there isn’t as much character development, but I definitely enjoyed them anyway! Since they are all a bit different there is something for everyone. If you enjoy a lot of spice, tension, chemistry, and temptation, please don’t hesitate to pick this up! This author is now on my watch list!
This is the third book in this series and it didn’t disappoint. This is my favorite of this series so far. The chemistry between Chris and Rowan is off the charts. I was rooting for them the entire story. The author did an excellent job bringing out many different emotions in the reader. I enjoy a book that gives me all the feels, and this one definitely did. This book is full of love, family, chemistry, friendship, danger and more. This is definitely a must read and I can’t wait to read the next book by this author.

This was a fast, upbeat read with a whole lot of laughs. Heath’s character comes off as 100% the jerk he is, and definitely leaves you wondering how she ended up with him in the first place. Wick is infuriating and sexy with all the fun things in between.
I enjoyed this spicy, sweet, and fun romance. Might have to go back and read book 1.

Holy hotness! This trilogy is so hot! It was a quick naughty read for me and I really enjoyed it!
There are 3 situations in this trilogy involving Richard, his wife Alice, their babysitter, Rebecca and Richard’s boss’ daughter, Scarlet. All adults of various ages and positions in life. All three situations are considered taboo-nothing illegal but situations that are usually kept secret. In a society of monogamous hetero relationships, this author takes these characters into a world of lifestyle choices that look more like fantasy. All four characters discover things about themselves but especially Richard.
However it was something about Alice that stood out to me the most:
“She was just her. Alice Martin. Mother, wife, teacher, that was all and in that order. Everything else was no one else’s business.”
Looking forward to reading more about this group of people and anything else this author may write!
I am so glad I picked up this book! This is the first book in this paranormal series, and I am here for it. I can’t wait to get to the next! I love a well-written, independent woman main character, and Gwendolyn Carter does not disappoint. This book is a quick read but well-paced as it kept me hooked and satisfied all the way through. This is a vibrant, entertaining story, and I will be running to get book number two. Five stars and highly recommend this author.

I thoroughly enjoy scary stories, but I feel like it’s more and more difficult to scare me these days. Kelly Covic definitely proved that I can still lose sleep after reading these stories! I was creeped out while I was reading them, flinching at my cats jumping on me, and then deciding I didn’t need as much sleep as I thought I did! Each story brings a new sense of terror to the table and the author has such a way of weaving each one that puts you on the edge of your seat. I can’t wait to see what this author has in store next. I highly recommend picking this up if you enjoy creepy horror stories because you surely won’t be disappointed!

First time reader of author L.M. Mountford and I’m amazed at how good the writing and storytelling was. Going into reading these stories I expected it to be a little spicy but what I got was ALOT of steamy erotic scenes. The author writes passion so well it will have your heart pumping🥵😍. Although I wasn’t a fan of the whole cheating thing but the last book kinda makes up for it 🤣 All three books were all short and quick reads, each about seven to eight chapters long. Alice was a badass, loved her kicking ”someone’s” ass. Looking through the rest of the titles by the author, it looks like there are some really good hot stories to read .
Taela almost lost her life. Fortunately, she was saved by Terran, but he’s gravely injured. Taela shows her trueself and helps heal him. Seth comes in after sensing her, and now she has two men. They don’t like each other, but they both want to protect her. It’s a really great read!

Warning – might cause spontaneous combustion. This trilogy is well named with sinful delights. No one is innocent. It is a super quick read but very descriptive. When all the little temptations build up it seems that Richard and Alice can’t help indulge in them.
Insomnia was my first experience with author Kelly Covic and I really enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Insomnia includes quite a few short, spooky stories – some that leave you questioning and some that are abundant with twists and turns, leading you down a path you did not expect to wander down. If you love a chilling, quick read then I highly recommend giving this new author’s book a chance. You may be as surprised as I was with how enjoyable it is and creeped out you may feel with only a handful of pages per story.

Nadine, our main character is a boss! She, like many of us, is prone to making poor decisions. The juice bar is doing great, until Nadine is hit with some incredibly irritating news that is detrimental to her business! Her ex-boyfriend/partner in the juice bar has caused chaos to their business venture. In the midst of the breakup, a decision to confiscate his personal trainer takes a huge turn! I personally enjoyed Book 2-even though I did not read book 1. This is one you won’t want to put down-it is definitely a realistic must-read!
Gwen Carter is an amazing character in this series! She has to return to her hometown Hoodoo, TX. While there, there is drama friendships, relationships, and more. I can’t wait for the next book! So much more to be done! 🙂

This is a great mystery read. This book features a private detective agency run by a husband-and-wife team. Three seemingly unrelated cases merge together in an explosive conclusion. I really enjoyed the characters of the private detectives, especially as they sought ways to let people have control and even dignity throughout the revelation of some pretty tough truths to handle. I wish that we as humankind in general sought ways to preserve the dignity of others.

This trilogy comes to an end featuring Mavis, Josh, Austin, Casey, Lauren, and Mitch. Lauren, Austin, and Josh are all siblings, with Josh and Austin being twins. They were born into a wealthy, well-to-do family. Mitch and Mavis are also siblings having grown up bouncing back and forth in various foster homes. Casey is Mavis’s former room mate from her Chicago days.
This book focuses on the relationship of Lauren and Mitch. They’ve been married for 7 years but things aren’t going so well for them as of late. Both strongly desire to have a child but things just aren’t working out that way for them. Communication is a core issue that they face, or more like lack of communication.
Mavis and Josh recently married and have just learned that they are going to be parents. This puts even more added stress on Lauren and Mitch but it’s not their siblings’ fault. How will this ultimately affect their relationships?
I strongly recommend reading this series in order, however they can be read as standalones. Reading them in order will give you a better context on the relationships between all of these people and will make some of the dynamics much easier to understand. While this trilogy has come to an end, there is a teaser at the end of this book that another character is getting her own story. I look forward to reading that one!
