Dr. Einstein was a cosmetic surgeon who took on a new job in the burn unit. Following a tragic past, taking a job that will make a difference is his ultimate goal. When he meets a busty barmaid looking for a permanent fix, she gets more than she bargained for.
This installment grabs you right from the beginning. You won’t want to put this one down. I was amazed by the amount of WOW! in these few short chapters. The only regret about this book is that it ended so quickly. There was so much packed into these few short pages that I just didn’t want it to end. I can’t wait to get my hands on more of this series. I highly recommend this to anyone who thoroughly enjoys medical dramas.

This book is everything you could ever want! An engrossing steampunk supernatural fantasy with high stakes, high suspense, and more than enough intrigue to keep you glued to Jacky and Angé’s story! The sisters play off each other beautifully with Jacqueline’s determination and need to discover versus Angelique’s recklessness and zest for life’s joys! In truth the heart of this story is in the amazing detail that Ef Deal includes, from the setting to the machinery a fascinating and warm picture emerges. I could not stop reading this book. It’s as if each page posed a new mystery. With its unique blend and use of old and new like the diving mask used on the Automaton. As well as the inclusion of the supernatural, like wolf shifters and a mechanical army powered by the dead, this is a book you do not want to miss!

The Challenger is a story about two people who are famous (within their fields), but have a lot of baggage and no capacity for love. Chavez is a pro tennis player who over the last year has gone downhill due to family issues, separating from his fiance, and issues with rage. While waiting for his therapist, he meets Flynn, a writer and motivational speaker. Both of these individuals are not in the place to add someone to their life but are unusually drawn to each other. The two of them are honest but shady about the hardships they are going through, but they are so attracted to each other that much of these feelings are ignored and sex and attraction are replaced as the fix-all. They are both trying to regain their lives, Chavez is trying to get back to tennis and Flynn is trying to start a new writing adventure. While all this is occurring, each of them are dealing with many other problems – Chavez has no coach and issues with his parents since the breakup – Flynn is trying to deal with a stalker that has been around for over a year. They decide to explore their feelings but in a messed up way – she becomes his coach for the amateur rounds of tennis and starts to travel around the world with him. This tour around the world brings them closer and closer together and each is finding puzzle pieces to becoming whole again. Flynn however is hiding a lot of information while Chavez is basically confessing his love. Flynn starts to realize that she loves him but doesn’t want him messed up in her history. Is there a way where the past can be healed and a future of happiness can prevail? This book was okay. I did enjoy the premise of the story, but I thought the author left some things to be desired. For example, the sexy, steamy attraction the two characters had you could tell was there but she left a lot to the imagination – I would have preferred to have it written right on the page. The chemistry between the characters was good but I didn’t really enjoy the characters themselves. I didn’t really find anything special about either of the characters. I do like how you could see Chavez become more and more vulnerable, but it was a little hard to believe in a 25-year-old kid with anger issues – I guess that development though was intriguing. Flynn was an everyday female who came across as educated, brave, and well-rounded but I felt she just took a back seat to female characters. However, I did like that the disagreement that climaxed in the book didn’t take over the entire thing – quick resolve, but believable.

This book was out of the normal for me to read, but im super happy I did. This book was super funny, with a little steamy romance, plus who can’t resist the hottie of a trainer? Nadine is an incredible person, she is feisty, independent and smart. When she finds out that her so called friend and business partner starts doing stuff that’s a big no no, she takes it in her own hands for a little bit of revenge. The stuff her and her friends get into and do really makes me think of how me and my friends would be if we were in that situation. There are some things that should be trigger warning like mental health issues, body image shaming, manipulation and some self-esteem issues, but this book was an all-around fun thing to read. I did not read the first book, which didn’t matter I was able to understand and follow along, it Is a great stand along book.

I’m a sports romance junkie. This is my first dive in to the tennis world and the author did a great job describing the lingo and allowing the audience to follow along with the story line even if they know nothing about tennis. The story of Flynn and Chavez is a good romance with a little suspense intertwined to keep you on your toes. I can wait to read more of this trilogy.

When I first started this book I did not realize it was historical fiction. From the very first page, I was hooked. The mystery, the intrigue, the feelings these characters have, and the dangers that come with being who they are, all make for a page-turning book. There are four Romanov sisters hiding in England in fear for their lives. Olga, who is the oldest, must do everything to protect all of them and find the truth in the rumors concerning their mother. When Olga learns that there is to be a book about her mother’s presumptuous betrayal of the Russian people she must put an end to the book being published. What Olga didn’t expect was to fall in love with the Lord of the house where she took a maid’s job. I highly recommend this book to everyone, especially if you are into historical fiction books.

Rogue is an exciting paranormal romance steeped in Celtic Mythology, and the 6th book in the series, The Talisman Series. The beginning of the book pulled me in immediately. I loved the dual POV. Baz and Delaney find themselves constantly in intense situations with power hungry antagonists. Baz is a rogue, but not necessarily by choice. I adore both MC’s they are both bada$$ and super interesting. The sexual tension between Baz and Delaney is intense and steamy. I enjoyed watching their growth throughout. What happens when the Goddesses come calling? Baz has found himself in a situation for love or to have freedom. Which is more important?
This is fast paced and will keep you entertained the entire time. Definitely recommend this book and the series.

Noah has said it in the title. As you can tell, he had a not so super summer. He was hoping to go to a camp and make friends. He instead has to help his Dad with his job as a maintenance crew that cleans up the mess of the pandemic creatures. He goes into the investigation mode to see what caused it in the first place. This is definitely for a pre-teen/teenager age group!

This was a fun book that had me reading late and turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. The characters are very relatable to other teens and how they treat each other. The main character Noah is a dorky teenage boy who has a nerdy friend named Suki. They are picked on by the football jock named Kyle. Noah has had a crush on Ruth since the first grade but he can’t even talk to her. Their stories all become intertwined in the story as they try and save the day. They all live in Lincoln City and there are mutant animals who keep coming out of the sewers and destroying parts of the city. The Supers are people who have powers and always show up to kill the mutants. It was a quick and enjoyable read and I can’t wait to see what Noah gets up to in the next book.

First off, I loved the dedication! Dedications are always a great way to start a book. I always read them! From the first paragraph I was hooked, I read until I finished the book. I absolutely loved Hadley Thorne’s writing, so descriptive, amazing characters, and fantastical world building! Fantasy Is one of my favourite genre’s and I always love when romance is added. This story did not disappoint.

This book is a collection of spooky scary short stories that will have you wondering what went bump in the night. Some will give you shivers and chills and then wonder if it was a good idea to read it before bed. These stories will have you questioning everything in life. Like the haunted mansion in silent sighs where it feels like it is watching you, the feeling of the main character in that story you can feel and relate to them with the panic and terror they experience. Make you wonder if your old clothes in attic will really transport you to another time and place. This writing style and imagination will draw you in and have you intrigued. Every story is short but such a roller coaster of a ride that you can not put it down because you must know what was going to happen, so you keep turning that pages. But you know you really don’t want to know but you darn well know you will, like watching a movie thou your fingers because you just must know. Highly suggest if you like horror, chill, thrill all in one this book if for you.

Frank is a doctor who is tired of making pretty women even prettier and he longs to make a difference. When he sees a chance, he takes it and transfers to a burn unit where he knows he can make a difference. A chance meeting with Barbara has the doctor making assumptions and insulting her. Once Frank learns the truth can he make amends and help Barbara or has he gone too far already?
Barbara and Frank’s story is an amusing one. The two are good together and it was nice to see the way their relationship grows into something more. There is good banter between the wo and I liked that Barbara is a strong woman that can hold her own. The author does a nice job with the chemistry between these two but I found it hard to connect with this couple. Their story was ok but the characters did not pull me into their lives.

This book set was a quick read, and I am glad that I was able to read the set versus having to wait book by book. I love that the author didn’t use a lot of fluff or euphemisms for the sex scenes, as it made it seem more realistic. That said, it is hot and heavy from the very beginning so be prepared for this explicit steamy read! This is just the perfect quick pick up without needing a huge, in depth backstory. Each book in the set stands alone and was a fun read. Excited to read more from this author!
This book was so different from the 1st, that I almost entirely forgot it was a series. Rowan does an incredible job of detailing the nuances of the world her characters are part of, and you actually learn a lot of profession culture within the pages. The characters are complex, layered with well developed back stories, and realistic expectations. Each book has it’s own world that weaves in and out of the others seamlessly. The romance is steamy, the buildup is frustrating, and ultimately a HEA. I cannot wait for the third book in this series. This book deals with a romance in the world of international tennis, the characters are diverse, and the book sprinkles in a good amount of spanglish for the reader. It makes you feel like you know Flynn and Chavez personally and have a front row seat to what they get up to. Masterful work!

I throughly enjoyed this original fantasy. It has everything a fairytale should! The magic, royalty, betrayal and personal growth. When my daughter is older I will definitely let her read this or I just might read it to her! So good!

What a great read. Had me hooked right from the start. I felt like I got sent right back to middle school and my pre teen years. Right from the start Noah is a character who sucks you in. Rowan Rossler knows how to entertain the masses! I loved the first in this series, The Cruiser, and this one didn’t disappoint either. In fact, I may have enjoyed it even more than the first! Flynn feels like she is a hot mess (heavy on the mess) and she isn’t looking her best when she runs into someone she least expected. Chavez is a wild tennis player who is unpredictable, but full of seductive temptations. Even though they seem like complete opposites, the chemistry between Flynn and Chavez is undeniable. The Challenger is full of steamy scenes, tension, and plenty of emotions. When you think you know where it’s going, think again. I enjoyed this book so much and I read it in record time. I highly recommend picking it up if you love sports and romance. It can be read as a standalone, but you’ll go running for the first one either way! I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next.

This is an interesting tale of the Greek god Hephaestus. I am an avid fan of Greek mythology and was excited to see a retelling of the life of Hephaestus. This story is told from the viewpoint of the god himself. The author takes liberties and reimagines the stories as their own. This tale is about many of the high and low points in his life. The author gives the listener more of a personal take on the gods and goddesses and not the exact stories from Greek Mythology. I was not a fan of all the shortening of the gods’ names as they spoke to and about each other. If you enjoy Greek mythology, you will recognize many of the things that happen and the characters in this book. Narrator Christopher Swift speaks clearly and keeps the narrative flowing.

Wow! I enjoy fantasy genre, but I especially enjoyed this one! The reader gets to witness the growth and the challenges faced by the character. The world building was complex and satisfying. I would have liked to live in this world a little longer. It really makes for a thought provoking read!

This is another strong addition to this series, and is just as exciting and action packed as the others. This world and the characters pull you in and really keep your attention. I enjoyed how fast paced the story was. So much seems to happen and it keeps the pages turning. This series has been a great introduction to this author and with each new book I am enjoying her writing style more. This book was another step to adding her to a list of authors I read without hesitation and I think her work is worth a try.

This is a great story about a 12-year old boy and a world with people who have superpowers. Although this book is clearly aimed at the pre-teens it is the kind of book that really appeals to all ages. Even as an adult, I had no issues connecting with the story and the characters. I thought the book had been well written and was designed to grab your attention immediately. I think Noah is the sort of character that touches on feelings most people have had at some point. He is relatable and endearing. He is what drew me into the story the most and is the reason I wanted to keep reading. This was a brilliant book that I thoroughly enjoyed and I would definitely recommend it.

This book starts off with a bang that will grab the reader’s attention pretty quickly. Especially if said reader is a teenager. Even more so if said teenager is a male!
Noah is tired of all the bullying he’s been subjected to. He’s also tired of his dad nagging him and having to babysit. Then there’s the mutant infestation and the Supers. Can life get anymore complicated while yet interesting?
Noah’s summer is full of adventure and friendships of a very unique kind. Hopefully his whole summer won’t stink!
I loved this book and read it in a matter of a couple of hours. This will appeal to younger readers as well as those of us still young at heart! There is humor and adventure throughout!

This was a quick read for me. I wished it was a little longer as I like to get to really know the characters and I didn’t feel I got to know enough (for me anyways) Dr Frank is moving on in his career to do what he’s been passionate about for years. He keeps to himself and seems outwardly shy and makes a fool of himself when out with his new colleagues. Barbara is no stranger to the looks and comments made about her but when Frank sees her again and offers something she would never be able to do on her own and attraction ignites a bigger flame than surface attraction. This series is written by different authors and I enjoy getting to see others views and takes on this band of characters at this hospital.

I am a lover of sports romance and this is my first sports romance that involved Tennis……and the continuation of The Hustlers Trilogy with book 2 was fabulous. I recommend reading this series in order as characters are folded into the story of Chavez and Flynn in book 2.
Chavez Delgado is a tennis player that has had his share of behavior that is volatile and just unpredictable with his past always haunting him in his head. Meeting a therapist to get through the rough edges of Chavez and his behavior he unexpectedly meeting Flynn…and the smooth talking Chavez comes out. Chavez is a bit relentless when trying to ask Flynn for her phone number…and she is not buying what he is selling…well at first….but when she finally gives him time to talk.. there is another side to Chavez that intrigues her.
Flynn Dryden is a popular motivational speaker/author….but her past haunts her dearly. Flynn puts on a brave face everyday trying to live by her own words that she has in her own books but the heavy walls that she has up at all times, the guilt she feels about her past, Chavez tries to break them down without even knowing the “whys” of her walls.
When Chavez asks Flynn to become his coach, to get him “out of his head” during his tennis matches not only is there some success but the sparks are fully ignited between Chavez and Flynn, With everything going so well .. what happens when lies are piling up and the past comes out to haunt both Chavez and Flynn? Will they be able to right the wrongs and move forward through their rocky past?
This is a fantastic sports romance, with a spicy reversed aged gap, drama and the love of tennis! Highly recommended and I cannot wait until book 3!!!

Just One Time (Beaumont Creek Book 1) by Samantha Baca. I loved this story so much! Its the story of Abby whose biological clock is ticking but she has no prospects in sight. On top of that her mom is on her back because she thinks Abby needs to give her some grandchildren and settle down. Abby owns her bakery and has been quite content with her life the way it is. She has friends and especially her best friend Nate, he’s a firefighter and they have been friends since they were kids. Since Abby has just turned 40 she is really wanting a baby. Abby has just turned forty and finds herself feeling depressed because her life is not what she expected it to be at this point. In her mind she should be happily married to a man who loves and adores her and have beautiful children they dote on. Whenever Abby sees others living the life she feels that she should have by now she cannot help but feel a bit envious. Of course, Abby’s mom harps at her constantly about having a baby and getting married so that does not help. She feels overwhelming sadness about running out of time to have a baby and it consumes her thoughts until she gets a brilliant idea that involves her best friend Nate.
Nate and Abby have been best friends since childhood and are practically inseparable. They tell each other everything and always have each other’s backs. When Abby confides her feelings to Nate about wanting a baby, he is more than happy to help. They agree that as best friends they will be great parents and decide to take the next step in their friendship. Nate and Abby decide that rather than do costly fertility procedures that they will conceive a baby the old-fashioned way. Wary of how this will affect their friendship they discuss taking things slow but that all changes with one moment of intense passion that sparks between them.
That one moment of passion turns into several more nights of passion between them. Neither Nate nor Abby expected this to happen and are taking it one day at a time. Each finds themselves falling in love with the other, but fear of rejection stops them from discussing their feelings. When Abby becomes pregnant it is unexpected and the timing is horrible. She has recently started dating a man that her mom set her up with. Abby’s parents are unaware of the turn that Nate and Abby’s relationship took or that Abby is pregnant. What will become of Nate and Abby’s friendship? Can they ever be more than friends?
I adored this book and was surprised by the style of the author’s writing. It was not at all what I expected from a friends to lovers romance book. The relationship between Abby and Nate was unique and to be admired. They were so close that they were able to let their guard down with one another, although this was a bit reluctantly and ill-timed in Abby’s case at times. I actually laughed out loud numerous times, even during some of the steamy sex scenes. (My husband actually looked at me a few times and asked what was so funny, but we were in mixed company, so I was unable to read the parts to him that I was chuckling at.) All I will say is that they were a bit unusual and not typical of a romantic or passionate moment. For me, I felt that they were realistic and raw which made me want to read all that much more. Abby had some moments during her pregnancy that I am sure many women can relate with and Nate was a trooper through them all.
I loved this book, but I think my favorite part was when Abby told off her sister’s ex husband. I nearly peed myself laughing at what she said to him. I might have to keep Abby’s words in mind the next time someone gets on my bad side, lol. I loved this book and cannot begin to say enough good things about this author’s writing style. It was romance, passion, friendship, love, angst, and a smidge of jealousy with a side of wit and humor thrown in. I loved it and cannot wait to read more by this author.

This book is book one of the series. This isn’t the first book I’ve read by this author and as usual I wasn’t disappointed.
Brinley had to leave her friends behind and while they stayed as close as they could, time will tell as Brinley is moving back to Morris Valley. The only issue is, somewhere along the way she gained a stalker and now she’s realizing, maybe she needs some protection. Adrian is a rancher. It’s not what most people expect so when people find, namely woman, they don’t tend to stick around. Brinley isn’t most women. Adrian can already tell. She is a breath of fresh air he didn’t know he needed. Once he finds out that Brinley needs protection, he makes it his mission to make sure she’s safe. Is there more between these two than just keeping her safe?
I enjoyed this book. It was different than most I’ve read in terms of Brinley’s job. It was a refreshing change of pace. Adrian is a little alpha and very protective and I just love a protective hero. This was a good read!!

This is book one of the series. This is a best friends to lovers romance. I just loved this book!
Abby is feeling some type of way after turning 40 and not having a family. She’s on the verge of taking matters into her own hands but man it can get expensive. After talking her feelings out with her best friend Nate and a conversation with her sister, she starts thinking that maybe the answer is right in front of her. Nate has had feelings for Abby for forever it seems. It’s an easy answer when she asks him to help her start a family. They agree it will be just one time and if it doesn’t work, Abby will explore other options. The problem is, the chemistry between the two of them is intense and what if they don’t want it to be just one time? Lack of communication leads to some issues. Will Nate ever be honest about his feelings? Will Abby? Or will Abby be raising their baby by herself?
I really enjoyed this book. It instantly sucked me in and I read it in one sitting! The chemistry between Abby and Nate jumped off the pages. Both were such great characters! You can’t help but feel frustrated at the lack of communication between them but you understand why. I definitely recommend this book! Can’t wait to see what comes next.

Sweet book about coming together, and bullying. Lila stands up for herself against Nate being a bit of a bully and in the end come together and get along due to the warmth the poncho provided. The art is very beautiful and I love that the friends can all play together nicely and share.

This book is book one of the series. I highly recommend reading the prequel to better understand what’s going on in book one. This book pulled me in from the beginning and I just had to keep reading to see what was going to happen.
Riley is the new kid at school. The only problem is, she was here once before very briefly. She has no idea what has gotten into her mom but she’s determined to figure it out. The only thing she needs to do is stay off Cole’s radar. That might be difficult to do. Riley remembers the amazing kiss she shared with Cole the first time around even if he doesn’t. Their chemistry is off the charts and for whatever reason, she can’t find their connection. Cole is determined to split his dad and Riley’s mom up. Riley is just collateral damage at this point.
This book is full of angst! I couldn’t get enough. I can’t wait to jump into book two and find out how the story continues! I highly recommend this series!
