I thoroughly enjoyed this take on the Romanov survival rumours. There are the expected moments of suspense and danger for Olga and her sisters given their identities, but there are also unexpected secrets which are revealed as the story progresses.

I related to Olga as an older sister myself, I was often in the role of protector to my younger sister. Though our situations are vastly different, having that in common helped me to connect to the story.
I admired her strength in trying to do right by her family whilst at the same time protecting her remaining siblings.

I think the research, which clearly went into writing this book, only adds to the brilliance of this novel. The historical details, make the whole thing believable and easier to read.
