A Toast For Laurent is the first book in the Vine Valley series by Theresa Paolo. It is a small town second chance romance with friendship, family, drama, danger, chemistry, spice, finding love unexpectedly, and emotion. There was also a little intrigue and drama, which definitely added an extra element of tension and interest to the whole story.
Twenty years ago Laurent and Phoebe made a promise to marry each other if they were both still single when they reached forty. So, after all those years Phoebe is back and intent on seeing it through. But what does Laurent think of the plan, especially after the pain she caused? What happens makes for a fun read.
This book is the first in a new series, so I will definitely be reading each new instalment as they release. Looking forward to A Thirst for Franc (Book #2).
