Hope and Lies (The Abredea Series Book 1) by C.H. Lyn – Review by Jennifer Ramos

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

From the very beginning, this dystopian had elements of the story that reminded me of Hunger Games and Divergent. I enjoy venturing into the new realms of dystopian novels and this one did not disappoint! It is a bit confusing in the beginning learning how the sequence of events converge. Just to warn readers that this book is a bit lengthy but well worth it. The main theme is a society on a mission to seek peace and order, and as a result castes are created. As special abilities emerge within a small group of people in the castes, seeking justification is sought out but efforts seem to fail. The determination is quite evident and they are seeking for their place in the world!
