Living With Conviction by Toby Dorr is a fascinating and powerful true crime memoir- an account of how the author came to help a convicted murderer escape from prison, and then end up on the run for nearly two weeks. It also tells of her capture, and time in incarceration, her experience ‘inside’, her relationship with fellow inmates, and so much more.
This is an honest, enlightening, and intriguing tale of risk, danger, drama, choices, consequence, challenges, emotion, resilience, strength, self-discovery, heart break, sisterhood, friendship, healing, redemption, transformation, and hope.
Life inside bars isn’t what any of us who have never been there can truly understand- it isn’t what we see portrayed on television, or in movies. Toby Dorr goes from being outside ‘the system’, to very quickly ‘inside’. She gives us a raw and honest account of her time in incarceration- and how she ended up there- and how she, and her life has irrevocably changed since.
Compelling!
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Toby Dorr!
