I thoroughly enjoy the world that C.L. Schneider created for The Crown of Stones, and now continued with The Wandering Isles. As others have said, you can absolutely read this as a stand alone, but having read the trilogy prior, I already had the world in my mind and was better able to develop the storyline in my head as I read.

Ian Troy and Jarryd Kane continue together, happening upon a grouping of what they believed to be uninhabited islands, only to find themselves battling those who reside on the island in their minds.

This was a great short read, intense and page turning. Highly recommend!
