My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rose is a member of the Wolfsbane coven, whose magical moonstone was stolen long ago. Titan is a member of the Dutchmen coven, the sworn enemies of the Wolfsbane coven and thieves of the moonstone. Titan has finally come of age to find a wife, and must in order to take over his fathers position. Rose has prepared for months for an opportunity to become of the suitors for Titan and get her covens moonstone back. Will it go according to plan, or will the raw attraction drawing them to one another backfire?

Titan wasn’t interested in becoming married, but it is the price he must pay in order to ascend the ranks for his dying fathers position. Rose’s demeanor and rougher ways make it obvious she was not raised to be a gentle queen, but he cannot stop how drawn he is to her. Her lack of noble training is first intriguing, and further attractive.

Rose has planned on this approach for ages, but it is more difficult to stay detached from the situation than she thought. Originally, she knew her bond and love for her sister and coven would be more than enough to make everything work to plan. However, she didn’t expect Titan to call to her so strongly.

There is love and hate, attraction and disgust, spunk, familial ties, magic and so much more is to be found in this story and the characters end the story much more fleshed out than I feared they would be in the beginning.
