I really liked the first book in this series, but I LOVED this book. It was humorous and flirty. Zara, the lead character is witty, fiercely independent, and good at what she does. She is the perfect complement to Noah and the background characters really support the story masterfully. I didn’t want to put it down, and am excited to read the next book in the series!
Maria is trying to figure out her next step now that her divorce is final…Oz is working three jobs to take care of his family and hope his band will finally get its big break. When these two meet, it is instant chemistry…with a side of baggage. These two will have to put their trust in each other, and stop worrying about all the reasons they shouldn’t be together…which is a lot easier said than done. But, sometimes, the risk is worth the reward.
These two were amazing characters to get to know. They felt so real…like people you know in real life. Their struggles are authentic and I felt myself feeling right alongside them with their push and pull relationship. It was a very good story that I was hooked on from the very beginning…I couldn’t put the book down. It was nice to see past characters showing up in the story…and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

I didn’t realize this was part of a series until I started reading it. With that being said the author did a pretty good job providing enough information that it could be read as a stand alone. Apart from the actual details of Vivian and Aidens courtship, I feel like I knew enough to understand this story. This story was original but still had all the points of a classic romance novel. There’s steam, there’s drama, a hint of comedy and above all, love. I am very happy for Annie. I cannot wait to read the other books in the series.

I really love a book that combines some flirty romance with sports. This book delivers that and more! I loved the closeness of the main characters with the supporting characters, they really feel like a great group of friends that you would know. The scenes just pop off the page. The Book of Hours (Coin/Hours Duology Book #2) by Maria Elena Alonso-Sierra is an intriguing mystery with suspense, danger, obsession, drama, tension, emotion, threats, action, agendas, romance, challenges, 2nd chances, greed, high stakes, and more. This isn’t my first read from Maria Elena Alonso-Sierra, but my first in this duology- so I was keen to see what lay between these covers. You don’t need to have read the first book in the duology to understand what is going on here. Although, having said that, it has piqued my curiosity and I am interested to find out what happened there, so I will probably hunt down a copy of ‘The Coin’ to explore in the near future. While I did like the mystery, suspense, and obsession part of the story, Gabriella’s ‘voice’/internal dialogue really frustrated me no end. I can’t exactly pinpoint why, but it put me off right from the beginning, and I had to force myself to keep reading to find out how everything played out in the end. But, because I really enjoyed “Hanging Softly in the Night’, one of Ms. Alonso-Sierra’s other books, I have decided to re-read this book again in a few weeks to see if I still feel the same way, or instead, I may discover that I was just having an ‘off’ reading day with this book…. so, stay tuned. This is the 1st book in the Bound By Blood series and I loved it! This was a mafia romance that was full of dark twists and turns, suspense and lot of action. There was many secrets in this story and with secrets comes many lies. This author never disappoints and i really enjoy their writing style. I was pulled into this story and i couldn’t put it down. I am looking forward to more by this author in the future and i am looking forward to the second book in this series!! Happy Reading!

This was a great 5 star read and second chance romance. Phoebe and Laurent made a pact, she is back to ask him a favor. She wants his help, attend an engagement party with her. As they spend time together, old feelings start to rise. I really enjoyed the story line, the characters were great. I enjoyed watching their journey to finding true love. We get twists and turns that added a great element to the story. Will these two finally give in to their feelings and get a HEA? This was a slow starting book for me, mainly because I was missing some context from the previous book in this series. I will be going back and reading it soon though as I need to fill in some holes. However, I don’t feel like I missed so much that I couldn’t enjoy this book. There was plenty of action, a small amount (but just enough) romance, and some twists and turns that weren’t really expected.

From the very first chapter I was instantly hooked! The suspense!! The main character can’t decide if he’s losing his mind or if someone is meddling in his life. It is a to-die-for psychological thriller. This is my first book by Nadija Mujagic and certainly not my last. The author portrays a main character that, in my opinion, is the type of person it’s hard to feel sorry for. He puts off a very arrogant and narcissistic type of demeanor, but also somehow makes you still feel for the guy. This is a really awesome read about revenge and how you have to be accountable for your actions. I could not put it down and read it in one day!

I liked both characters, Logan is fully focused on finding Victoria again This was a bit different then what I was expecting, a bit darker. I think overall it was an entertaining read.

I really enjoyed this book and found the writing to be done wonderfully. The storyline, setting, and characters pulled me in, and I became completely invested in the outcome of their story. Gabriela and Richard are wonderful characters who I find myself rooting for as they fight to be together through distance, through bad relationships, and through all the chaos life throws at them. A love story of epic proportions as two people find a way to love unconditionally no matter what obstacle gets thrown in their way. I Highly recommend this Book!

This is such a wonderful children’s book. I love that it introduces children to Israel. I definitely can see myself incorporating it into a holidays around the world activity. Or even during any of the many lessons that I teach about diversity. This really is an amazing picture book that I feel should be in all classroom and family libraries. I love that it uses colorful illustrations to show children a part of the world they may not know much about or ever get to experience first hand.

I was gripped from page one by this romantic suspense novel which kept me captivated throughout. Artist Gabriela Martinez’s new work, The Book of Hours has put her in danger when an unscrupulous art dealer, Arnold Wickham wants to claim it. When Richard Harrison discovers the woman he loves, Gabriela is in danger he believes he’s been gifted with a second chance to protect her. However, Richard needs to stay focused as both their lives are in danger. Both the California and London settings were brought vividly to life by the descriptive narrative, making me feel immersed in the story. The characters are well defined, and I enjoyed the relationship development between the main characters. The storyline and plot twists kept me happily turning the pages, and I would recommend this enjoyable and engaging read.

This is my first audio book by this author which I enjoyed listening to. I look forward to picking up more from this author. I enjoyed the narrator and how the tone of their voice made the story engaging. A story about second chances, family and obsession. A story where one art dealer becomes obsessed with a new artist. He is determined and nothing will get in his way to get what he wants. This is an audio book you don’t want to miss for sure. It is an engaging story that made me want to know more which made this easy to listen to. I really enjoyed listening to this story. I highly recommend this audiobook.

This is not my first book by this author and this is one of my favorites yet. This is a well written story where the characters pull you into the story from the beginning. They are supportive, connectable and made the story entertaining to read. A story about second chances, family and obsession. A story where one art dealer becomes obsessed with a new artist. He is determined and nothing will get in his way to get what he wants. This is a character that adds so much to the story. They brought twists and turns to life and had me coming back for more. It is a hard to put down story that is engaging and fast paced. This is a great story that I enjoyed reading. I highly recommend this book.

sure enjoyed this continuation of The Coin series. Gabriela and Richard took this story to a whole new level. The spy game and time travel just made it so fanflippingtastic. I used to think The DaVinci Code was great but I have since changed my mind. I found the protagonist in this series are well-written and developed. The antagonist fit their role perfect. The story flows smooth and it just is. I couldn’t and didn’t want to put it down, that’s how well done it is. The tone of the story is total intrigue and suspense/mystery. I was totally hooked from the start. It’s a series I highly recommend. A definite must read.

This book is a great second chance romance and a refreshing twist on a fake romance. I loved Laurent and Phoebe, they have such a great chemistry together. Even after 20 years apart and their history you could still feel their connection. It was great seeing how things would play out. This is a strong start to a new series and a great introduction to a new author. I thought the book was well written and thoroughly enjoyable. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

This is such a fantastic book! I love the illustrations and the message that the author is trying to convey to the reader. Hudson is such a kind helpful boy, he helps his family with literally anything they need. However, one day he doesn’t feel like helping and instead builds a fort. His family tries their best to make him feel better. I truly love how this story is getting across the importance of self-care. I feel that this is an area that is not explicitly taught but that children will benefit from seeing it modeled through the story and through the adults around them. This book provides an excellent example of what self care is and what it looks like. I absolutely recommend this for classrooms and family libraries!
This is the second book in the Coin/Hours Cycle Series. I haven’t read the first one but I will definately be heading to read it now. This book was really intriguing and captivating. I loved the twists and turns, the ups and downs, the danger around every corner it really kept me gripped
Gabriela has a very rare artifact in her possession. So rare that someone wants it and is prepared to stop at nothing to get it. Even if it means removing Gabriela from the picture. There is also a romance as well between Richard and Gabriela. Their romance is intense and passionate and when Richard hears of the threats to Gabriela and her family he rushes to her side to protect her. After 4 years of being apart could this finally be there chance to be together and be happy or will the danger facing Gabriela keep them apart for good. I was gripped and captivated from start to end. I loved how I couldn’t guess the outcome which left me reading and hooked.

Love this one! It is my favorite of the series! The storyline is really good. I laughed or smiled mutiple times while enjoying this read. The characters are well done and fun! I love all the back and forth Heath has with his friends about his love interest. Those guy friends are just as nosy as the chatterbox girls/wives of them. Its good to have friends who want the best for you though.
The only part I struggled with was her family issues especially the one involving her brother. I feel since that could have been fleshed out better to make it seem more than just a point of contention that was solved with an OK..no problem. I know that is cryptic but I dont want to give anything away either. I was just disappointed in that whole scene.
Overall this a good easy read that left me turning pages. I enjoyed the way the title is worked into the story. Not sure if there will be more in this series but I would grab it if there are. Fun baseball themed storyline!

This novella is technically book 4.5 in the Hidden Valley Elite series. While it is the very first part of Phoenix and Aspen’s story, it’s so much better to read the others, first. I’ve really grown to love Phoenix’s character throughout them, which makes me even more excited to read his arc.
Phoenix eats, sleeps, and breathes football. He has always stuck to the plan – and now that he’s graduated high school, the next step is Thane, which will lead him to the NFL – like his dad. It’s time to buckle down and not let anything distract him once he starts college, but until that first day…it’s SUMMER. That means drinking, partying, one night stands….and Aspen.
Aspen is struggling. Life in general is hard. Family garbage, work life, just…planning for the future. When she gets a chance to sneak away and dive in the cove, she never misses an opportunity. That’s where she meets Phoenix and they leave the world behind for a night. However, in the greatest cherry on top ever, Aspen becomes pregnant.
Their chemistry is out of this world, but this is exactly what Phoenix DID NOT want. He doesn’t know how to be a father, he never had one of his own around. Aspen’s hormones are leading her wildly along through many stages in an already stressful life. These two together are electric, the cliffhanger has me chomping at the bit for book five, and this read is over in a heartbeat.

Welcome to the prequel of Phoenix and Aspen’s story. This author has not given any disappointment yet so I was ready to read this one! I suggest reading the other books in this series so you know who some of the existing characters are. Also, as always, check trigger warnings your mental health is more important! I will mention there is pregnancy in this so if that is not your thing, just know that it exists. We have Phoenix who is fully focused on his NFL career until he has his eye caught by Aspen. This is absolutely a dark bully college romance, but I love the way this author writes each character’s emotions. I am highly anticipating the next!
My Goodbye Girl by Anna Gomez. This is the perfect romance to read as you are on vacation at the beach, in the mountains or at the lake! I loved this book. Its about Tessa who is a up and coming romance author is flighty, scattered and fun who has one goal in mind….fame. Simon is a scientist who is very detailed, organized and focused on one thing…money. They meet on a flight from Boston to LA but never really speak. She notices the good looking man across from her and he slips her his business card as they are getting off the plan. Over the years they see each other in various places but they can never get on the same page. Simon becomes a little less rigid and Tessa becomes a little more organized each time they are around one another. When Tess begins to think about how her brother is the only family she has she begins to think maybe fame isn’t all life is about. While in Paris a tragic accident happens and turns Simon and Tessa’s world upside down. Will they give into each other and try to work it out? Read this heart wrenching romance to find out!

I love stories like this because it shows that love can be found no matter where you are in life and what culture and environment you’re involved with… and I’m not gonna lie, but the chemistry is insane between these two.. I am grateful to be able to read this story for myself.

I really enjoyed the story of Laurent and Phoebe. I appreciate the couple being more mature while working through long standing issues they have. Laurent is a gentle soul, willing to stand by and support Phoebe, although she has a tendency to run away when her mind tells her opposite her hearts desire. I enjoyed the family aspect surrounding the winery and how connected the siblings seem. While I did enjoy this book, I felt the ending was a bit blah and rushed. It didn’t spark hope for the coupling for some reason. Hopefully book 2 adds some more to Laurent and Phoebe’s future for us that must know.

We are back in Buckeye Falls with Anthony and Natalie. These two have been married for a while, raising kids, both working endless hours but the sizzle in their marriage has dwindled. With the help of family and local residents we’ve previously met, the couple work to grow back together as husband and wife. While this was a cute read, we didn’t really get much new info about the town or the people. It’s the same storyline with a new couple. The only ‘twist’ is that this couple is still in a marriage working on rekindling the flame. It was a quick story and good read just didn’t leave me wanting more as I had with the previous two books in the series.

This book had me hooked right from the beginning. It was so well written and descriptive that it almost felt like you could reach out and touch everything and know what everything smelt and see. The characters each had their own little back story which I absolutely loved to read about, it’s like little breadcrumbs of knowing and understanding who and where they all come from and are going, thou. The farther I got into the book the more I couldn’t put it down and wanted to know more. I can not wait to read more about Amber and Chloe’s adventures of what this prophecy holds and what is to be done.

The Book of Hours is the second gripping book in the Coin/Hours Duology and the first I have had the pleasure of reading by this author. I did stop reading this book to go back and read the first because I thought I was missing out, but Maria made sure to include enough information if you don’t. It is a suspenseful thrilling rollercoaster ride that had me checking everyone out around me. Paranoid much I admit but it is due to the writing of this author. With crime, suspense, and mystery this psychological romantic drama had me on the edge of my seat and looking for a anything hiding in the shadows. The characters are well written, and this exciting world Maria has given us has everything to make it a great read and the pages turning. The plot is cleverly crafted and well-thought out and the story flowed well. It started with a coin and ends with a book, a killer, a secret and an innocent woman but now the stakes are higher. Unbeknownst to Gabriela she is the focus of a madman that wants her rendition of a book, but Richard Harrison is back to save the woman he loves from this Psychopath. Will they get their HEA? I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more from this author. Those who like a great psychological thriller will love this duology.

This was the most intense of all the books. Arcelia finds out that not everything or everyone is as she thinks. The secrets around her family are quite large and the lies are many. Roderick is trying to be the best boyfriend and has his own issues to take care of. I found the story to be well-written. I loved the details and the characters. The substory around the hair was quite fascinating. The role of women in this story was interesting to see. Though they had issues that had some with lies and secrets, others were strong and brave. It’s always nice to see strong women in a story. The flow was smooth. My favorite part was Celia standing up to her family. I believe that took a lot of courage. This is a must read. Because the story is a continuation of the first two books, I do suggest you read it in order.
