A. M. Porto was born in Cartagena, Colombia. She moved to Washington, DC in 2011 to pursue her medical career and now she lives in Tampa, Florida, with her husband and her daughter. Her full-time job is as a pediatric emergency medicine physician but her love for literature and writing drove her to write the Berrycreek Heights Series. When Porto is not writing or working, she enjoys hanging out with her family, reading, working out or traveling.
