I was inspired by DeBlassie’s writings to not only continue my journey with the Tarot, but to pick it back up. I’ve always been interested in what many consider to be the “occult” or “dark” or “magical” and I’ve always viewed those interests as just part of my world and who I am. When I was first introduced to DeBlassie’s writings, I was so comforted because I finally felt like I found someone who thought very similarly to me and felt the way I did about things. I really love the way DeBlassie writes…I always feel as those she can sense what I’m needing to hear and is able to effectively communicate that and put it to paper. I enjoy her prose and poetry as well as her straightforwardness and realness. I love her unique take on various aspects and the Tarot is no different. If you are at all interested in the Tarot, please pick up this book and just have a looksee. It’s easy to read and extremely informative.

This children’s book deals with the hard truth of losing a pet and the even harder truth of having to make the decision to euthanize the pet. It was fabulously done. Sabol handles the topic with a delicacy that speaks of experience and wisdom. This is a fantastic book filled with information if you have children and are having to go through this experience. The illustrations are very well done and, again, the topic is treated with dignity and respect.
Katelyn is a fierce hard worker who will fight for what she knows is right. As she heals the hurts of the horse, the man who captures her interest is entwined in that healing. There are years of emotional abuse to work through and in the end, it may feel safer to just stick with what he knows. Grant has never been free to make his own choices in his life and thinking there could be more is almost too much for him to bear. This was a very emotional read for me, I love how the author takes us along through the highs and lows. S.E. Reichert is great at creating strong relatable characters who are flawed and lovable. I can’t wait to read what comes next!
Lilliana Rose amazing author who brought naive girl Tamaska into doing her own thing in life and getting into trouble with both vampires and wolves. I love the fact that Kodiak knows what is going on with the vampires but does not know why they want a human Tamaska but his bond to Tamaska is deep that he was willing to disobey his pack for a love for a human. See Tamaska, I did not like it so much because at first, I wanted to slap her crazy. She is the type of human that wants to do everything on her own by seeking the supernatural, she knew what was going on but was denied help from Kodiak but the bond is stronger than hers. I love the characters and the world that Lilliana Rose made for it. An amazing book can’t wait for the Second book.

In the 1st book, Tamaska was naive about the situation that she was in with the vampires and Kodiak was risking the pack for Tamaska. Their lives are at risk because the Blood Opal is still stolen and they are letting feelings get in the way to go after who took the Blood Opal. Now the second Tamaska is avoiding Kodiak because she felt cheated on or lied to, but Kodiak had to. Still here in this second book, she tries to do everything on her own and go after the vampires who stole the Blood Opal but thinks that her life can go back to not knowing about Vampires and Wolves. Kodiak breaks my heart in this part because of my heart. He chose her over his pack now he is alone and that is killing him. But the protection is important to him but he does not want to break the pack of honor.

Sing for me by Tam Derudder Jackson is about Blu Connally and Ashleigh Baker, a love story involving a famous rockstar and an army brat that just wanted to lay down roots after traveling her whole life.
This book is about how 2 completely different people come to fall in love. Ashleigh moved into a quiet neighborhood next to Blus’ mom who spent every Saturday having lunch and tea. Then after Blus’ tour ended he comes home and is introduced to Ashleigh in a not so good way for first impressions. Blu is a bad boy with quite the reputation where Ashleigh is a respectable young lady who substitutes and does music reviews for a blog in Denver, they couldn’t be more opposite.
This book really grabs your attention from beginning to end, from heart filling moments to heart breaking. There’s jealousy and betrayal where trust is broken. Aside from the characters background, the plot and relationship is relatable to most couples today. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes this genre.

I enjoyed reading this romance story. This is a newer author for me which I enjoy their writing style and their attention to details that gave the story a realistic feel. I found this book to be well written, fast paced and engaging. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into their world from the start. A world of young love, secrets that threaten and what you are willing to risk for said love. I enjoyed watching the growth of the plot as well as the characters which made the story easy to read. I enjoyed what they brought to the story which added to the entertainment value of the story. This is a great romance story that I highly recommend.

I definitely enjoyed reading this story, despite it being a children’s book and only a few pages long, I learned a lot on the subject of trap-and-neuter. The story was effective and gave information in such a way that the reader is able to both follow the story and learn. The situation was explained well in simple terms that even children can understand and follow. The illustrations were cute and helped the reader understand what was going on throughout the story. Though it’s clear this story is part of a series of educational books on the subject of cats, it can be read as a standalone.

As I was reading this book, I kept counting the starfish out loud and really enthusiastically like I was reading it to my little one because I can absolutely see myself reading this to my kids! My boys would absolutely love this book with all of the beautiful colors and wonderful rhymes! I especially loved the last couple of pages with facts and the find the object. This is a cute book about Shadow- a black cat that shows up at Oscar and Emmy’s house. They begin to feed her and find she has some hungry kittens too! Mom explains that the TNR (trap, neuter, release) progam will be best for Shadow and her kittens. So they trap them, take them to the vet and then release once the vet says it is okay. Great illustrations and explanations are kid friendly.

I think it is safe to say that this book is nostalgia at its finest! Back to the 80s is a fun, nostalgic rom-com that brought back a lot of memories of the good times! If you grew up in the 80s and early 90’s or just have a love for the past, this is a fun reminder of how awesome that time period was! Blaine has inherited her mom’s shop, which happens to be a novelty shop showing love to the 1980s. Eric is a local developer with big plans of demolishing her shop to build a brewery. Is there anyway Blaine convince Eric that her shop is worth saving? This is definitely a sweet rom-com that had me ready to watch some of those awesome 80s films. The characters of Blaine and Eric are well developed and give off the not friends but could be something more aesthetic. Blaine had a way of showing that she is strong willed with strong opinions and is independent. She is ready to fight for the business that she loves and isn’t going to let Eric stand in the way. Kudos to the authors for such a fun, nostalgic book! I can’t wait to read future books by SE Reichert and Kerrie Flanagan.

This book is a young adult/ new adult romance. It was such a good read!
Mina and Wesley are the best of friends until one day he’s gone with no notice. A lot has changed for Mina since she was the bullied kid in elementary school. It’s some kind of luck that Wesley ends up at Mina’s high school. They can’t believe it but they aren’t the same kids they once were. Can they get back the relationship they once had or is it gone forever?
This was a very well written story. I was pulled in almost immediately and couldn’t put it down. You really feel for the characters and their experiences. It’s very relatable even if it’s been awhile since you’ve been in high school. I really enjoyed this one.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author but I loved it!!
Ava has known the King’s her whole life. That’s what happens when you live on the property and your dad works for them. Theo has been her best friend for as long as she can remember. Theo has feelings for her but naturally Ava is oblivious. It doesn’t help that she’s got a crush on Matthias, the oldest King boy. She just wishes she knew why he treated her like crap. Cue a snowstorm that strands Ava and Matthias alone together for a couple days. Never in her wildest dreams did she think anything would change between them. She finds out Matthias has feelings for her and everything changes from there. With no warning, Ava’s dad sends her away to live with her aunt. Five years is a long time but now everyone is back together again. Will Matthias be happy to see her or will the one time be all they have?
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were so well written and there was a lot of feeling. The book grabs you and you can’t put it down until you figure everything out! I love it!

I’m definitely crying. Judge me all you want. I just met Shadow in the book before and wasn’t ready to let go myself. I did enjoy this story that is teaching children about euthanasia and how it’s humane. My favorite part is the family not leaving Shadow even though Shadow wasn’t as much of a pet as Oscar and Emmy.

Clearly, this book is “meant” for elementary and middle school aged kids. I however, a full grown woman, thoroughly enjoyed this book. The magic and adventure included in this story is captivating. There are also relateable life experiences too that kids may relate to. My 6yo is at a 4th/5th grade level and I believe we will be adding this to his homeschool reading list! I think he will enjoy it. I hope there are more.

OMG! I never wanted to shake two characters so bad. They just needed to stop guessing and actually talk to one another. Not that it was cool what Theo did to help keep Mattias and Ava apart. It was not.
Ava and Mattias were in love but they didn’t know it and everyone around them conspired to keep them apart. Starting with Ava’s father, who said they could never be together. Then Mattias’ father, parroting what Ava’s dad said but adding his own flare. And Theo, his brother and her best friend added to the plot to keep them apart. I can almost forgive Theo because he thought he loved her as more than a friend.
I was not expecting the massive twist. That was not very nice. But then things had a way of working out. I hope that Mattias learned how valuable each brother truly was and started a better relationship with each.
If you are looking for an emotional rollercoaster with some steam, this is for you!!

What an adorable and informative story. This is a great story about a stray cat who shows up on Oscar and Emmy’s door step. The kids feed the cat and soon, more show up. As the story contiues on, their mom tells them about TNR. At the end of thte book, there is a very informative, detailed page all about TNR. I read this with my 6yo son and he enjoyed the story and learning about strays.

4/5 stars I really enjoyed the first book in this series so I wanted to read the 2nd. I did like it, I just enjoyed the first book more. I’m not sure why, but the writing in this book seemed a little more historical than the first. The good thing about these books is that they can be standalone reads.

This is one of my favorite genres to read! I love stories about growth and finding yourself. I thought I knew where the story was headed but I was wrong. At least about most of it. Some of it I was right about but it did not make it any less amazing. I read this book at the right time. I needed it somehow and plan to read it again. I absolutely love how this story is written and I love this author style. Liz has so much growth and I loved every second of it. Learning about her grandmother’s life with her made me not want to stop reading until I reached the end. Of course then I did not want the story to end. And Mark, don’t even get me started on Mark. The overwhelming patience he has is so sweet. This is such a great read!!!!

The 4th book in this series and the 3rd one I read. I missed book 2 somehow, but I digress. Love Shots was a great addition to the series, but even so book 3 is my favorite. The characters the author has written across the whole series are wonderful. Each book brings the main focus to two of them. This is Teddy and Summer’s story. Their chance at forever. Best friends since they were kids, these two always kept their true feelings to themselves. Both characters left home, yet now they are back. And they’ve run into each in full force. With their emotions running wild, will they finally admit how they feel? Will demons from their past threaten any potential future? Both characters have secrets they’ve never shared with any of their family and friends. Can they get the courage to share with one another? This book as mentioned is part of a series, but it’s very much a standalone as well. Would I read it without reading the others for sure! But I bet you’ll want to go back and read the other’s. Me? I’m going to track down book 2… lol

This was a good 4 star read. The author pulls you right in with her writing. Once I started I didn’t want to put it down. My emotions were all over the place, and had several LOL moments. Autumn has always wanted her grandfather’s bar, but gets a surprise when she returns home. She is very upset with Teddy and definitely lets him know it. There is something about Autumn that Teddy has always liked. When he finds out she is in danger, his protective instinct kicks in. WIll he finally get a chance to show her his true feelings and keep her safe?

5 Stars Love Shots (Bluestone Series Book 4) by Isobel Reed
Love Shots is the fourth book in the Bluestone Series and is a Friends to Lover’s/ Contemporary Romance that once you start reading its hard to stop until you’ve finished. I’ve read other books by this author and this one may be my favorite yet. Its got everything I love in a good small town Romance, a ex navy seal and a feisty woman who wants what she thinks belongs to her. Teddy bought her grandfathers bar, she finds herself going back to Bluestone to find it had a new owner. The chemistry between them is hot and steamy. There is definitely an attraction between them. Throw in an ex into the mix and things get interesting. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I don’t want to give anything away. I definitely can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Billie Jean Wills, an African American college who never could walk away from a fight. One day, while riding the family horse, Billie Jean gets saved after being thrown from the spooked horse by the handsome Fisher Hines. While visiting her family in Clear Creek County she learns how the black men are being treated over at the Locke farm and along with her cousin Greta Fay they create quite the stir of trouble. While confronting Mr. Locke, Billie Jean learns that the man whole stole her heart was none other than the manager of the farm! Days before the rally the Locke farm catches fire. Of course, the girls get blamed for the fire but neither one committed the crime. This action-packed book comes with lots of angst, anger, frustration, challenges, sex appeal, and chemistry. It is a fantastic book that is part of an excellent series. I can’t wait to read other books by this great author.
