I have read other books by this author and loved them, so I picked this up without hesitation. I ended up reading this as a standalone, and while I didn’t feel lost necessarily, I do think that I would have had a greater appreciation with more background. To remedy that situation, I am picking up all the previous books in this series now! This was the fourth book, and it is marvelously written. I happen to love the paranormal genre and with this read, the author also includes plenty of romantic suspense as well. I highly recommend picking this up if you are in for a paranormal adventure with suspense and romance in the mix!
