She soon reunites with her only friend she had during her Junes she spent with her grandmother, Mitch. Mitch is a Louisville firefighter and is engaged to a woman Mia feels is perfect. Then there is now Jeff in her life, her mentor from Bellarmine College. Somehow she has fallen for both Mitch and Jeff but they have both betrayed her trust. Who will she believe? Will her heart heal from this betrayal?
