The Secrets of Arkaim (The Reeds of West Hills) by B. E. Padgett – Review by Sheri Schrader

The Secrets of Arkaim (The Reeds of West Hills #2)The Secrets of Arkaim by B.E. Padgett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Secrets of Arkaim is the second book in the The Reeds of West Hills series. This is my first book in this series, but I will be picking up the prior book soon. I always look for fun and entertaining books for my niece and nephew. The blurb reminded me of a Potteresque story, and I thought this might grab them. The story is fun and read quickly. We are quickly taken into the world of twins, Jon and Frank, and their quest to win the school games, West Hills Zodiac games. The characters are relatable and looking for challenges in their young lives. The characters are 11 years old and not only challenged by the school games but by other underlying intrigue on campus. I enjoyed this story, and I have already passed this onto my niece. She seems excited by the story, which is a win in my book! I look forward to checking out other books by this author in the future.
