What an interesting tale. The girls go into space for alien fast food. They end up having to do dishes and repair a ship. I like the Fact that even though they have a chance to escape, they stay to do what they promised. It’s a neat story. Bright and colorful illustrations. I felt it taught a lesson about keeping your promise. The author does a nice job of teaching this.

Seeing the victims through the eyes of the killer had me on edge and I could smell their fear I kid you not ! From the victim’s perspective I could feel their fear , Evans writing style is superb !

Mr Wimp was a short cute read however I was hoping for me of a glimpse at the her relationship with Mr Right Now. Bella is living every women’s worst fears, her husband blind sided her with asking for a divorce and she learns not only is he cheating on her but he found a woman with the exact same name! A little weird if you ask me!! Bella goes through the motions of leaning on her friends and finding herself again including her first post marriage hookup! But in this novella we learn nothing about the hookup!

The last installment from Cruel Start and Cruel Hate, Cruel Love fell flat for me! When I finished Cruel Hate I really had high hopes as the series had picked up for me but the story line of Cruel Love didn’t capture my attention as I had hoped! The awkward plot of Pheonix being fourteen and everyone keeping secrets from him just wasn’t the hook I personally needed. There was a slow build up to the end but not anything that really blew my mind! Cruel Love also ends on a hook in hopes to get readers to continue on with the brother, Shane’s story.

Wonderful book. I did not read the first book, and while I was able to follow along, I do recommend reading in order to meet all the characters. The relationship between Mia and Gumshoe is so fun to watch grow and the banter between them is entertaining. This is the first book I have read that even mentions a Quinceanera and I found that refreshing and a great way to introduce different customs and cultures to others. Following along with this duo to discover who the murderer is will leave you laughing, and anticipating what comes next. A truly fun and fast read for all.

My middle child, now in her twenties, used to be obsessed with sea otters when she was little. We had to have a sea otter birthday cake, and we had to watch sea otters on the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Otter Cam several times a week! This book brings back good memories for me. The mystery is wonderfully crafted, and the family dynamics explored amongst the characters are simply amazing. I can’t wait to read more of this series!

Another adventure awaits with Shirl and Eee-ahh! Buzzing sound on Shirl’s radio one would think maybe that an alien would be trying to contact Earth. The familiar song to Eee-aah knows this is for Zibs. When Shirl and Eee-ahh travel to finally be able to eat some Zibs….Ba-Kerr is not to happy that they believe that Shirl stole her Zib…but we learn that teamwork is the way.
This is a fun children’s story that can be enjoyed for young and old. I love the colorful illustrations and always look forward to the adventures of Shirl and Eee-ahh. Learning to help one another is a lesson we can all learn….

Faking the Fall is the fourth book in the Buckeye Falls Series and is a Contemporary Romance with a small town Romance Vibe that once you start reading its hard to put down until you’ve finished. I would recommend reading the previous books if you haven’t already started them as each book is about a different couple but there are characters that overlap. Plus this is a wonderful series I can promise you won’t be disappointed. This might be my favorite yet. There’s plenty of drama, humor, nosy neighbors and so much more. Alice is back in town and hopes to put her past reputation of being the wild child behind her as she follows her dreams of owning her own business. James is struggling and feels stuck with no inspiration for his art while being new to town. The two of them meet and the plan to fake date is proposed to get the nosy busy bodies off their backs. But what neither of them expected was for it to feel so real. The more time they spend with each other the more feelings they get. Can their relationship be more than they both realize? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to see what this author brings us next.

Devil’s Claw is the third book in the Logan McKenna Series is a wonderfully written Crime/ Thriller that will have you turning the pages till the end. I’m a huge fan of this author and her style of writing along with her creative characters make for an epic story. I didn’t realize I was starting with the third book so I plan on going back and reading the first two books in this series to get me caught up with what’s been going on. There’s plenty of twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going to happen next. Logan is back and ready to tackle the newest murder but this one is different as its someone who’s close to her. Everyone wants the property lot 429 but at what lengths are they willing to go to get it? I’m afraid I’m going to give away to much information. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Lois has taken so many science classes that she believes science is the solution to almost every problem, including the dilemmas in fairy tales. She has invented what she calls Science Folktales. In each science-based tale, the protagonist achieves a better ending than the original because of learning scientific principles. She has turned some of these tales into plays.
She has also created a series of Mermaid Science stories, which make use of water science.
Lois is married to the love of her life. She has two children, four grandchildren and a dog.

Sarge by Stuart Ledwith is a unique story woven around a lot of interesting elements- intriguing characters, military missions, UFO’s, drama, action, romance, heartache, emotion, and more. This book expands on Mission 3047, but here, we get Sarge’s story. Again, Mr. Ledwith gives us a unique opportunity/perspective by giving Sarge a chance to tell his story- along with some of the author’s own experiences to help build the body of the story. Again, as with his other unique offerings, I appreciate the amount of blood, sweat, and ‘soul’ that the author puts into his writing, as well as his unique take on things. This isn’t the last we hear of Sarge as apparently we get to hear more from him in the next book. Happy Reading…

Liar, Liar is the fourth book in the McIntire County series by Winter Austin, who ups the ante again with this fantastic addition to the series. I have been loving this series and was excited to find out what Liar, Liar had in store for us. It’s an intriguing romantic suspense with crime and investigation, murder, mystery, action, danger, a cold-blooded killer, dramatic developments, tension, emotion, secrets, politics, duty, responsibility, and finding love unexpectedly- all wrapped up in a gripping storyline that had me hooked right from the get-go. Sheriff Shane Hamilton and FBI agent Liza Bartholomew are forced to combine their efforts and join forces when their respective cases become connected. The stakes get higher as feelings become involved- but with a dangerous killer in the mix things are going to get even more complicated. What ensues makes for a gripping read. Even though this could be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the previous books before starting on this one, as they will help lay foundations and ‘build’ a bigger picture which will help immerse you in the series. Not sure where we go from here, I hope this isn’t the end of the series though… Happy Reading…

Well this book definitely threw me for some twists and turns. The story absolutely starts off with a bang and just continues the pace from there. Vanessa is definitely not a timid shy girl. She absolutely is a take charge type and I thought she was a great character. The added in suspense of murder, spies, and ghosts made this such an intriguing novel. Jacob, the Fifth Earl of Danville, was such a wonderful opposite to Vanessa. Seeing their relationship grow and change during all of the chaos was extremely well written. I loved that along with everything else, we have a house full of relatives who Vanessa had no idea was living there. There was a cast of descriptive and interesting characters throughout the novel. If you love historical romance, with a twist of paranormal and suspense, this is a great book!
Oh how I waited for this one to come out! I love the way this author writes love and relationships. It is the sweet romance we all need to bask in. This story follows Alice and a newly introduced character. It’s the kind of story to give the warm fuzzies inside. Alice hasn’t always followed what Buckeye Falls deems the normal small town path. She just wants to prove them wrong and get them off her back for a while. So she comes up with a plan. A pretty good plan actually until things take a very unexpected turn. Then just when you think everything is bliss things take an unexpected turn. I really do love reading about Buckeye Falls and only wish there were more books in the series. You don’t have to read the series but I highly recommend it! Side note I like soggy corn flakes too.

This is the 1st book in the Hearts Below Series. I blew through this book in one sitting. Truthfully, I liked the romance/relationship between the two main characters, Arryn and Rowan, more than the mystery and adventure in the story.
While the adventure is not boring, it just falls a little flat and I felt there wasn’t many details on what was actually going on besides the people Above thought they were monsters below and the people below thought they were monsters above. There wasn’t much background on why the wicked forced people to suffer down below or why anyone thought they were monsters. There also wasn’t a clear understanding of WHY the King Below wanted to break the barrier. We also don’t know much of Roman’s powers and why people are scared of them. The void itself is also another unknown, but that part didn’t bother me as much. It also was a little confusing how the Royal Guard treated Rowan, sometimes they seemed overly nice and at other times completely hated him – with no context as to why (besides his mysterious powers no one even knows the full extent of).
With that being said, I did very much enjoy how the relationship evolved with Roqan and Arryn. I absolutely loved BOTH of their growth, not only together but in their own separate growth. I love the new Arryn and Rowan, and I enjoyed watching them get to where they ended up by the end of the book. I wish we would have seen a little more interaction with Rowan and Phaedron to really grasp the brotherly bond between them.
I will definitely read book 2 and recommend this series to those who love a little romance with their fantasy and fae characters.

Rowan is an outcast because of his use of black magic, but he only has one person he cares about: his brother Phaedron. Rowan succeeds in defending his brother Phaedron from a creature from the Worlds Above. Rowan, though, is prepared to give the woman to the king and put an end to monsters once and for all when that first monster is joined by a second, this time a woman yearning for her prince.Any woman would do it for the man she had been brought up to wed. Additionally, saving the prince could be enough to persuade the monarch to approve the marriage that her parents have been attempting to set up for her whole childhood.
Every page had you hanging on every sentence and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. It is a very unique story with even compelling people. The story really transports you into this world. I couldn’t put the book down.
I’m sad to see this series come to an end! I have thoroughly enjoyed each book in this series and I would highly recommend them for someone looking for a bit of a romcom!
Alice finally got her story! Her family isn’t quite sure what to think of her. Alice is a bit of a reed in the wind. She has multiple degrees but isn’t really putting forth an effort to use them effectively, at least in her daddy’s eyes. All her other siblings are successful members of the community and are public servants of some sort. Alice is working in the library. She’s happy but ready to get from under her parents’ thumb.
James has recently relocated to Buckeye Falls after a failed marriage and a lull in his work. He needs some motivation to create art again. Then he spies Alice and the paint is flying to the canvas.
A super fun read about the Snyder family. This could be read as a stand alone but you’ll miss out on the backgrounds of other characters. I would recommend reading them all because they are that good!

I thought Cruel Hate had a cliffhanger ending; Cruel Love topped it! Why you gotta do this to us?!?! This series is on fire. I am so hooked and can’t wait to see what comes next. This book had a lot of unexpected twists and turns for Phoenix and Aspen. I love the direction things are heading and can’t wait to see how they handle parenthood. This book had the friends and cousins fall to the back burner, while we focus on the struggles of Aspen and Phoenix during the pregnancy. The book picked up right where Cruel Hate left off, so don’t read them out of order. You won’t know what is going on and you will spoil the story. I cannot wait for the next book to see what’s gonna happen next.

Mr Wimp is the first in a series of novellas in the Human Mating Site series. I have never read a series like this and am curious to see how it plays out. The author plans to write a dozen books, each focusing on a different “Mr Right Now.” The story follows Bella, after separating from husband after 12 years together and re enters the dating pool. She goes through a variety of feelings regarding the breakup, and finally speaks her piece. Her breakup speech was intense, I was not expecting that out of her! The ending was cliff hanger, but another book will soon be out. This novella was a light hearted steamy book, and I look forward to seeing who the next man is, and if Bella finds her next forever.

This is Book 3 in the Logan McKenna Series. There are nine books totally, I plan on reading every single one of them at some point. In this one, we learn about sea otters and greed from a new person. Unfortunately for someone, they lose their life because of this greed. I am still currently reading it so I can’t give to much away. It does involve money and land, specifically the Sea Otter Rescue Land. I haven’t read many of Ms. Davisson’s books but this one seems to grab my attention especially because of the sea otters. I mean I never knew that sea otters made noise, I mean how would you know that unless you have seen/heard them up-close and personal.

This book starts right in the action! I love when I get pulled in right away and this definitely did that for me. It is compared to ACOTAR and I can definitely seem some similarities in the way the story feels.
Typically this would be a book I’d have flown through, but I don’t think I was in a good space to read it fully. Despite that, I enjoyed it immensely and can’t wait to try again when I’m feeling more in to it.
It has a good level of spice without being too overpowering to the story and enough to bring you back for book 2. Definitely would recommend this for any fantasy romance readers!
We first met the elusive Sarge in the sci fi adventure prequel Mission 3047 who was the partner of June. Unfortunately, we did not get to know a great deal about him in that book, but this is his story. Sarge is an engaging original story, which is as unique as Stuart and his story telling. Stuart is good at giving his readers stories that are easy to read, intriguing, interesting and entertaining but also a little different and that is what I have come to like about his writing. It was easy become invested when learning more about this complex yet simple man. It is about his life, his struggles, his hopes, his passion, his friendships, his love and dreams and so much more. It shows just how this man became who he was that we met in Mission 3047. Sarge is a man with a deep sense of compassion and embraces life even though it was once highly lacking. He develops deep connected friendships/relationships. He finds the woman of his dreams. He joins a top-secret agency. What happens when he joins? Is this where he goes on secret missions, explorations into space, meets aliens or is it something else? To find out you will need to grab a copy and settle in. This is a tale that will engage readers right to the end.

Liar, Liar is the fourth book in the amazing The McIntire County series. I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every book so far and each one has been my favourite, well that is until Winter gives us another addition. It is a romantic suspense story with lots of twists and turns. These books are standalones, but we get to catch up with characters from previous books so make sure to start at the beginning of the series. Plus, you will get to find out all the heart stopping goodness in their stories. Shane’s past has left him with a heavy heart, but he has a town to keep in order no matter how he feels. One FBI agent is just throwing a spanner in the works as he tries to work his cases. FBI agent Liza Bartholomew is following the trail of evil and one she won’t stop tracking until they are in custody. The reception in the small town is a little frosty or mostly from one Sherriff to be exact. Unfortunately, neither are ready to give but when everything and everyone is threatened, they have to put things aside and work together. Or do they? This is a tale of danger, murder and mayhem, mystery, suspense, violence, and some romance. This a great story keeps you guessing. It is another of Winter’s tales cleverly woven together into a story that you cannot put down. There is suspense, heartache and heartbreak, pain and sorrow, lies and secrets, frustration and loss but there is also laughter. I love a story that is told multiple POV because you get to learn more about the characters and the way in which they think and tick. Look out for the ending. Happy reading. This is a must read and I look forward to what comes next.

Ignite My Heart (North Fork Series 2) was my first book By Alicia Street, you do not have to read book 1 to read this! I really loved Blake, Morgan and Ciara! This was a great quick read that has me going back to read book one and then impatiently wait for book 3!

Sins of the Father is the third book in dark and moody The McIntire County Series and each book gets better and better even though they have all been amazing reads. These books are standalone stories, but I would recommend reading them in order otherwise you are missing out on so much as the characters and their stories intertwine between books. Winter does a great job of setting the scene though. Deputy Jolie Murdoch is the new girl on the block. Finding a body was not on the agenda. A missing girl yes but no body. Her past has left her with wounds, but she is a strong woman underneath it all. It was good to see her growing and finding her true self. Along the way she finds a little more than she knew she needed. Former marine Xavier Hartmann is trying to deal with the skeletons of his past. But someone has other ideas instore for him. Someone who does not want the truth out there and will anything to stop him. Along the way he discovers something that becomes vital to his wellbeing. The story is told from multiple the POV which I love because you get to learn more about the characters and what makes them tick. There are a lot of secondary characters that help move the story along. Sins of the Father is a tale of murder and secrets, lies, mystery, suspense, violence, manipulation, politics and romance. It is a great story that has twists and turns and an interesting plot that keep the pages turning. It is one tale you won’t want to put down. There are also some laughs to be had when Xavier’s sister is around. Did not see that ending coming though! This is a must read and I look forward to what comes next.

This author grabs you right from the beginning every time. I’ve read the first three in this series and this one was just as awesome. I read these in order and I do recommend it that way simple because I think in enhanced the overall experience. I will say you definitely could read them as stand alone with no confusion though which I can appreciate. This book kept me guessing and on my toes just as well as the first three and to me that’s the accomplishment of an author. I love when I can’t see the entire storyline played out way before I get the the end. This author writes characters that are so easy to connect with and they simply draw you into their world and it’s hard to say goodbye at the end. Shane may be my favorite character from this series, there was just something “more” about his character that called to me. But each character in this book brings everything this story needs. Another five star read from this author who is definitely a one click for me now.

Nicole Kelleher ‘s Wild Lavender is a second chance romance set in medieval times when women were often considered property, Anna had run into Larkin one night years ago- both held that moment in their thoughts. Larkin wanted to see her again but nobody knew Anna. In court her formal name of Aubrianne was used.
Anna was part of an arranged marriage to Roger of Stolweg. As part of her dowry, was her knowledge of Chevlain horses. However, Anna’s fairy tale marriage thoughts come crashing down when Roger was forceful with taking her maidenhood. His abuse didn’t all fall upon Anna, as he often targeted his servants too. When the stableboy,Will, was tied to a post for 15 lashes, Anna intervened and took 9 lashes in his place. Grainne, her lady’s maid, helped Anna with teas that would prevent pregnancy, healing balms and sleep aids preventing Roger from physically harming her. However, the beatings continue and Anna plans to escape after killing Roger.
Meanwhile, Roger has garnered attention from the Royal Guard. Larkin believes the appearance of Chevlain Destriers at Stolweg was part of an elaborate plan against King Godwin. Therefore, Larkin joins Captain Baldric, Warin, Trian, Tomas, and Ailwen as they ride to Stolweg to determine if Roger will be charged with treason and murder,
The perspective of this story is told from multiple well-developed characters. The journeys of each group are written in detail. This made it easy to envision the surroundings. The flow of the story was easy to follow. However, I think the constant turmoil between Larkin and Anna was somewhat tedious. I would happily rate Wild Lavender 4 stars.
